Phill Can't wait for U to come down. We will have it ironed out soon and be having fun.

Sorry Heather, But Mike is right about Jay. U may not of liked him because he was so fast, but he was not a cheater.

Kevin, U are right it was a fun day.

Mike you are right. the fast guys work real hard to be fast and put in countless hours to make sure there batts ,motor, shocks, ect. are the best they can be. I know for a fact Jay was leagal all the time. I also know how much time he spent on this hobby. and lets not forget driving, the missing link. :p
Lets have fun and enjoy what we have for now, we'll get the rules sorted out Wed .
I hope to see some of the other racers out soon.

MIKE@StLCity- The track is located in South Roxana Illinois. It is 15 minutes northwest of Downtown St. Louis MO. We used to be in Pontoon Beach Illinois, that why Pontoon Raceway.

36x70 Ozite carpet.

Track website: http://www.geocities.com/pontoonrc/
Hope that was OK. If not I will delete.

Anyone measure the racing line? and/or what length are you using for dyno gearing purposes?

I know once someone said they thought it would be around 130' or so...?

I know once someone said they thought it would be around 130' or so...?Jason rolled it out Sunday & I think he came up with 131'. But to "fool" the dyno, I was using 123'. I really think I may have needed to go down another tooth so it could be closer to 120' for the dyno.

Hey Bob, it looks like the pictures got posted on the wrong page of your guys website. They are under the "Springfield" link instead of the "New Track" link. Are you guys going to post results? It's still not working I think the script needs to read "NewTrack" not "newtrack". It is very picky on exact script, capital letters do make a difference.

I know all this talk about cheating is problbly in fun,but I am going to end it because thats how rumors get started or continue. And that can ruina tarck and more importantly a persons reputaion You all know me and Know I am true to my word.no question their I Know.I raced with mike for years and many other fast racers and i know from my heart and learning form mike he dosnt cheat. You all should be proud to race with him.Even he dont say this upsets him I know it does alittle cause it dose me.And Im just a friend how gets to see his friend 4 times a year and I can see it in him.You see him all the time. And you should be ashamed not so see this as clearly as I do enough is enough. Matt Bayless

Wow Matt, I think I'm going to cry. :) Thanks. I know these guys are just joking. I don't know about Phil, he thinks it's all motor and batteries, and something about the setup. And Jay, well Mark and Todd took even more winds off the motors they got from him. :D

I really have to give a big thumbs up to Bob though. He was all over the back of me for the whole race and we never touched. Good driving. And a little help from Mark too.

Sounds like a good turnout coming this Sunday. The Springfield Il guys are coming down.

Hey Matt, save some of those pain killers for me too.

Geuss Bob already knew your rollout huh MK?

As far as cheating, I know Jay never did, he was just plain fast. That is why I loved racing him, learned a lot in a short time of chasing his car.

When my performance was questioned last week, I took it as a compliment.

12-17-2004, 09:13 AM
Phil Thats the last time I tell Mike my roll out.

Way to go phil, thats is the atitude that everyone needs when there speed is in questioned. I know that I always take it as a compliment.

I know he lifted a couple of times when most what of drove it on in. Thanks for being a sportsman. If it ends up the other way around next time please know that I will do the same.

Hope to be down again sometime after the first of the year.
