I talked to Jim at Premiere Hobbies in Woodriver today. He said he is interested in the same deal of letting us run two shows a week in the old building up stairs. He is getting prices on Dupont and ozite carpet.
]
If I remember right, the track was 50x36 ?Correct me if I am wrong.
Pontoon old track was 60x36 just so you have a pictuer of the track.
I am thinking we need at least 10 to 15 people? heck, I could be wrong about that too??? If I am, let me know.
So please respond on here or by e-mail if you can commit to racing alot of Wednesday nights or Sundays.

If anyone has found another place let me know.

Their was no meeting about the other building that Jim had because I made the decision not to. Their were other reasons why the building would not work beside the size. If any one has any questions on anything in this post, call me and I will go over them with you.

Bob

11 would be ok with me. I am waiting for Rob to call.

Track size doesn't really matter to me. I will try to make Wednesdays, not sure how many weekend races though.

Is it still going to be on the 2nd floor at the same place? Will Claude go if he has to climb stairs?

Hey whats up
Ryan and I would run some, im sure not every week but when we could. The size of the track is not important as long as the carpet is good stuff, and the corners are not just 4x4 stuck out there. Ryan ran with this group a little bit last year, thay have a lot of people who like to race. If you run on a seperate day from the off road guys Im sure we would get some of them in oval cars.

Still miss racin with you guys! Weather has been pretty badhere lately. Cutting up trees that have fallen, have firewood for about three years. Road bleow us flooded but drove around it, without power two days last storm, decided to buy that whole house generator after all! Looks like you guys are still looking for a track, good luck! Ralf

MK Race
10-02-2004, 09:50 AM
Hey good to hear from ya Ralf. Glad you didn't get blown away. Have you been able to find a place to race at?
Never got the sprint car into the winners circle last summer. Finished 2nd 3 times and worst finish was a 4th. Brushless was different, never had the motor out of the car.

Take care.

Raced a couple of times but not the same as St. Louis, more travel time and a "Yankee" in Dixie! Been spending most of my free time riding my motorcycle, great riding country. Entrance ramp to the Blue Ridge Parkway about a mile and a half from my house has about 30 cut backs in a two mile long ramp and then you are on the Blue Ridge Parkway where the views are spectacular! Hope you guys find a track soon. Ralf

I hear ya! Was getting lost all the time the first few months, had the van full of map blasted locations. Finding my way around now pretty well, hard to carry those damn maps and read them when your on a motorcycle! How's your driving? Your Dad get you a new Mustang yet? LOL RAlf

10-03-2004, 10:35 PM
hah i wish...i wont get that until the marauder is paid off...even then i wont be able to drive the mustang...-.-'' only places i drive is to school, home, then work, then home..then school, home, work, home...thattttttttts about it....it was even worse driving through there during 5 o'clock traffic >.<
