Bob W., Think the track will still be open March 20th.? I'll be making a trip back and want to run with you guys at your new track. I kept my radio and my Quasar charger, have been bashing around with an old RC-10 (old aluminum tub model) in the dirt around the house. Moss is seting up a HD B-510 chassis for me to run. Bought a brushless for bashing with the RC-10, no motor maintenance, and I love it. Might run Brushless and Stock if I can remember how to drive on carpet. Hope to see all you guys then. Ralf 13
rickk5 02-19-2005, 10:15 PM jay, wondered if you were able to get those numbers for me??
If so will you be there sunday?
rick
Bob W 02-20-2005, 12:15 AM Ralf ,the last race day will be Wednesday March 30th. Hope U can make it before then. It will be good to see you again.
Bob
Will be there Sunday the 20th. of March. The wife is in China the two weeks before that, as soon as she gets back I'll make the trip to St. Louis! Got the address off of the Pontoon web site, what is the zip code there? Want to map blast direstions. What is the run line? What tires are you running in four cell stock? Looking forward to seeing you guys again. Ralf
jake86 02-20-2005, 09:06 PM Sent you an email Bob
MK Race 02-20-2005, 09:44 PM Good racin today. Finally got my car better.
No track records today. :(
Maybe we can get some more of the"I RACE FOR PRACTICE AND DON'T CARE ABOUT TRACK RECORDS" guys to show up with there stuff on Wednesday. That way we can can run our cars in circles and have fun. :)
ROBSKI 02-20-2005, 10:06 PM As just an absorb '' R '' , I thought your car looked very good tonight! DELETE DELETE DELETE !! Your car did look good Mike!
MK Race 02-20-2005, 10:11 PM Y thank u. I didn't win, but I did have fun. :)

MK Race 02-21-2005, 12:46 AM Oh, I forgot to mention the new track record for 4-cell stock, WINGLESS.
philb1 02-21-2005, 07:26 AM So, No wing is the Thing?
Oh, I forgot to mention the new track record for 4-cell stock, WINGLESS. Was that on Purpose? Or did it come off in an altercation? Hey Robski, I am coming back the weekend of the 20th and will race with you guys! Bring your brushless and tell John and Claude to bring theirs. Am negotiang for a used chasis from one of the guys back here and will race brushless with you guys! Ralf 13
MK Race 02-21-2005, 02:15 PM Ralf, ran the car without the wing to do some testing.
We don't race the brushless cars, we play. Who cares about how many laps we run????:)
Why aren't you racing the brushless? I really like the idea of not having to do all that motor building/maintenance! Have been using mine to bash around in an old aluminum tub RC-10 and it's great to just keep changing packs and not having to mess with the motor. Am tryiing to get some interest in a brushless spec class at the local track. See you in a few weeks. Ralf
MK Race 02-21-2005, 07:38 PM Weeeeeell, some of us like to race, some don't like to call it racing. I was told that the brushless class has no track records. That we use just junk old batteries and drive circles around the track for FUN. A track record actually gives you an idea of how fast your are doing. Racing only has 1 winner, so that wouldn't be FUN either. So I will bring my brushless over for practice when I go to the tracks that actually race that class, even if I can't win.
MK Race 02-21-2005, 07:39 PM Brushless is the future of RC. Not too long ago we started 4-cell stuff and now that is almost all you see. It will take a while, but brushless is the way too go.
I agree! I had some firends that were interested in Racing RC until they saw all I had invested in equipment and parts, and the time I spent building motors. They just wanted to charge batteries, drive, and have fun. I think a lot of the "bashers" would race if there was less motor building and more racing. It also gives you time to work on your chassis. I sold my Dyno, lathe, and a lot of the parts I had accumulated for motor building and am not going to invest the money there again. I will just bash my old RC-10 in the dirt (our deck makes a nice drivers stand!) around the house with my brushless (8-10 minutes a pack) with my old batteries until the local track comes to it's senses and starts racing brushless, I am sure it is just a matter of time. There is a track about 300 miles NW of here that races the 5800 motor with four cells and NASCAR truck bodies. They are talking about going to 4-cell spec packs and spec tires this summer (240' concrete oval) so I might drive up there once a month to race on Saturdays. I will bring my brushless Sunday the 20th (run for fun), and I might even stay over for the following Wednesday night. I'm buying a used B510 from Moss and am negotiating for an almost new Aggressor from a guy down here. Hope you will be racing at Pontoon on the 20th. Ralf
MK Race 02-21-2005, 08:09 PM Hope you can stay till that Wednesday. Me, Bob, and maybe Big Rob are going to Vinton Iowa that weekend for a Big 2 day race.
The only drawback to brushless used to be the price. Now you can get a complete system for under $200. Good speedo is around $150 and you know how much motors and extras can cost.
rc widower 02-21-2005, 09:40 PM Hey I set track record red cars come on ski put that brushless motor in that bass boat , what time do you normanly get home from work ,Kevin
Hey Ski !!!!!!You gonna be there Sunday the 20th??? Can't wait to see the BASS BOAT! Ralf
Beautiful Day in the Mountains here in NC! Went for a ride on the motorcyle up to the Blue Ridge Parkway, (entrance ramp from NC151 has 73 turns in 4.3 miles !) Great place to live if you ride. Looking forward to coming back to St. Louis, planning on Racing that Sunday (the 20th) then visiting with the parents Monday and Tuesday and then racing again on Wednesday night before heading home to NC. Ralf
What roll out are you guys using in the stock class on the new track? I would ask for spur/pinion but with the size tires Klem runs that info might be misleading. Also what roll out are you guys running when you "play" with the brushless motors? Ralf
jake86 02-23-2005, 04:06 PM Bob W ygm
crazytony 02-23-2005, 05:44 PM How many brushless are going to Allens? I think 4 are coming from Galesburg.
MK Race 02-23-2005, 05:49 PM Just me Tony. See you Saturday.
Joe Novak 02-24-2005, 10:34 AM There will also be at least two to three more local guys running the brushless class at Allen's on saturday also,I watch a couple of races last nite,I think they got up to a 68 lap pace
jake86 02-24-2005, 04:15 PM Hey Kelm ygm:devil: .
MK Race 02-24-2005, 08:38 PM Hey Bob, me and Big are heading up to Allen's Friday night. I'm picking him up around 5pm so if you want ride up with us let me know. If you come up Saturday we'll save you a space. OUTSIDE!!! :jest:
Allen said we can pit in the old building if we want. He will turn the heat on Saturday morning if we do. Hey that will make us fell right at home.
Bob W 02-24-2005, 09:15 PM Mike ...going to come up Saturday morning.
C Ya Then:)
So, did the rest of you guys Race today? Or did you stay home and watch NASCAR? I am still planning on coming up to race with ya'll on the third weekend in March and looks like I'll stay over to race the following Wednesday. Got the Dane back from UT in Knoxville on Saturday, has a quick fill on his left side now! All the food goes in through there, can get a meal into him faster than a NASCAR gas man can dump a can o'gas! I think he misses tasting the food though. Picked up an Agrressor from a local racer who changed his mind. Hope to have it together by the time I come to Race, don't know if I'll have a body though. Have to go to SC to find a hobby shop that has Oval stuff. Got any bodies in stock Bob? I still want that HD B-510 too though Moss! Ralf
Bob W 02-27-2005, 08:53 PM It was good to see Kevin ,Jason and Phill again. It is a long drive for Kevin and Jason and even longer for Phill, So we do appreciate you choosing our track to race at this weekend.

Bob W 03-04-2005, 12:18 AM Well guys we had a very light turn out Wednesday night. Looks like racing burn-out has hit again. Good job on TQ Kevin. Joe and Don swapped places 2 or 3 times in the Sportsman A main, that was the closest Sportsman race that I have seen in a long time. Good job Joe and Don.

Bob W. Sorry to be reminded that you are losing your space again! Have you guys been looking for another space? Do you still run on the 1/4 scale track in the summer? Still think it would be a good location for a major race! Still got caps, could come back to race there too!! Will be coming back to race with you guys a couple of times before you close. I hear you will not be there on the 20th when I get there, but hope to see you the following Wednesday (23rd.) Hope the turn out on the 20th. and 23rd. is better. I might have to race with the Sportsmen as I haven't driven in well over a year and was never that fast anyway, but I DID HAVE FUN!!!!
