PRETORIOUS 05-02-2005, 01:13 PM UPDATE: http://www.scifimetropolis.com/News_and_Updax.html jbond 05-02-2005, 01:30 PM Just to get back on topic, I got my John Robinson & Smith figures last week and they are EXCELLENT; much better than I thought they'd be. My only gripe now is, why make Will and the Robot last? I want those figures now! A Taylor 05-03-2005, 10:31 AM Jeff, You know that's an age old marketing tactic... make the most sought after items last so you keep the buzz happening with customers. BTW, thanks for the FAB Gear mention in the latest CFQ - I haven't seen it yet, but I appreciate it. AT jbond 05-03-2005, 01:53 PM I think we've gotten you in there a few times... :) A Taylor 05-04-2005, 10:30 AM I saw one for the Complete UFO book - any little bit helps! Give me a shout via the website sometime - and let's definitely have lunch in San Diego. Thanks again, Anthony DR. PRETORIOUS 10-17-2005, 02:11 PM http://scifimetropolis.com/ B-9 12-04-2011, 11:02 PM Only 6 years since the last post. Did anyone ever get a 2 foot Jupiter-2? The suspense is killing me! bert model maker 12-05-2011, 04:15 AM yes a lot did, and there are a few left but the owner got hurt pretty bad and stopped things for 2 years. he is supossed to be up & running but doesn't answer emails. his site is active as is robot factory who joined forces with SFM. check out the website for either one. B-9 12-05-2011, 10:01 AM Thanks Bert Model Maker! I found it odd that everyone was excitedly talking about these 2 foot J-2s then the thread just died with no photos posted and no more mention of it. I'll check out the web site, thanks. teslabe 12-10-2011, 02:58 PM Thanks Bert Model Maker! I found it odd that everyone was excitedly talking about these 2 foot J-2s then the thread just died with no photos posted and no more mention of it. I'll check out the web site, thanks. I can't remember ever seeing any finished builds. I got my refund after being jerked around for three months. I'm glad I did because now I have the Moebius J-2 and it's lightyears beyond SFM's offering. I also came so close to buying their half scale B-9 but after only seeing one in the wilds (on ebay) I never want through with the order. B-9 12-10-2011, 10:47 PM I seem to recall the mold for that 2 foot J-2 on eBay for sale a year or so ago. I think it was labeled as "Original Jupiter-2 mold for the series" but we all know there was never a 2 foot J-2 used on the series. Does anyone know any more about that? bert model maker 12-11-2011, 05:26 PM BeatlePaul made a sci-fi metropolis Jupiter 2 and it came out pretty nice. if i remember right, he may have built more than 1 . other than that, i don't recall any other build of it. norman is back working on new projects and his website is linked to the ROBOT FACTORY and they say they may have a few jupiter 2's left in stock however they are not selling them until they get the new projects underway. To me this means that IF you are in business, WHY ARE THEY NOT SELLING ANYTHING ??? B-9 01-03-2012, 11:14 PM It seems to me someone could make a killing on popping out unfinished two and four foot Jupiter-2 hulls for the advanced hobbyist. But, who knows. I'm a builder, not a businessman! scifimodelfan 01-06-2012, 01:08 PM I am so hoping that they will complete 1/6th the Figure collection. vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2012, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
