dave, down there it is a hard clay track, they were using step pins ground down slightly and also using some of the other steppins with blocks for the rears.. the fronts were ribbed... last time i was out there, i used medium step pins, firm inserts and 8 ribbed fronts... this worked very good...

Anyone know where can I race my on-road R/C cars thats closer than Grand Rapids? I live in Benton Harbor, MI so GR is about 1.5 hr drive.

for on-road I have:

HPI RS4 Pro 2
HPI Nitro RS4 2
Trinity Switchblade 2002 SP 12th
RC10L2 10th
BRP 1/18th corvette

I thought WOOR was gonna make an outdoor on-road track? did they ever do that?
Anyone know of any indoor on-road tracks in northern IN?

Thanks,

Jerrit

PS. I've gotten board with off-road but here is my collection:
Ofna 9.5 pro
AE Team T4
HPI RS4 rally

I just sold my basher truck so now I can get my new motor and pipe.I am getting a nova rossi rex .28 8 port.Alone with the 3 speed tranny I dont think there will be any thing that will keep with it on a straight away.I cannt wait for next outdoor season!

Hello all, I'm getting back into off-road after a foray into nitro sedans. I'm interested in 1/8 scale buggies, although the 1/10 Tamiya Nitro Thunder has caught my eye.

I need help in finding which brands are quality for the nitro off-road cars. I'd rather have an RTR as I have put together a few cars and know my way around then fairly well.

Are the Ofna RTR's any good?

What about the XTM Racing X-Terminator? It's got a .247 engine so I would rather not get that model if I would not be able to enter races.

Any help on what brand/model to get would be most helpful.

Additioanlly, my GF's stepdad and her little brother both have 1/10 scale off-roaders thay got for xmas. The 3 of us should all be out come springtime, possibly sooner to help condition the track and me you guys.
