Apl,
Check that link :

Play with the zoom to understand where it's at.

Basically, from GR, take M45 west until 144th then turn left on 144th (south) and about a mile away you will see the sign to the track. Very simple. it's a 35 min drive... from Downtown GR

See you there this summer...

Well good to see the woor thread will soon be the biggest and best yet again at this site!!!!

Unfortunatly Me and My son will be running the same trucks as last year, We have a new addition to the family and I spent my money on a mini dv camcorder instead of new nitro toys.

I guess I can take some better video though this year. Maybe we can intise some folks from far away to come if they see just how AWSOME WOOR is.

I look foward to comming out this year.

Sounds like with all the 1/8th scale guys it may just be me and erv tearing it up 1/10 scale. :freak:

dangit, gotta get someone out there I can beat.

Given the size of the track, stock would get abit boring very quickly. With a larger track, it's much easier using something like a 12turn than one would think.

But then again, is it really size that matters?

So, if I understand your post correctly, you're
saying smaller would be better??

Most likely the track will end up being as much fun for the stock guys as for the Mod guys. Stock class will have the option of running a smaller tighter section of the track to keep things interesting. The track this year should be very versitile for ALL the classes.

We will hold races for the off-road track on sundays. The oval track race day is still to be determined yet., and the paved track is still being worked out. I'll prolly have more news on that this sat. at GLRC. :)

How many are intersted in dirt oval??? Must be alot of guys up there are into it??? I have not heard of alot of dirt ovals to race on ??? They used to run oval a LLOONNGG time ago at R&L few guys bought cobra cars and just as soon as the racing started it also ended due to lack of interest.

Thats funny since ya mention'd it... I was working on my buggy and noticed that my shock springs have very little color to them. I didnt think that running on soft dirt all summer would take almost all the color from them. heck it looks like I ran it on a gravel track all summer.Rich Im going to put ya in ya place my friend....1-2 laps down!!!

Well guys it looks like we will be having onroad races out here as well!! :p We most likely will be paving a 175+90ft patch of blacktop for non-dirt throwing guys. So yeah WOOR is looking at being at being a tripple track facility. We have plans to build a twin drivers stand for the onroad guys that just like our offroad one.My only hope is that they arn't as afraid of hights as they are of getting thier cars dirty.

yup went from DAMler to ford.I might be getting a new (real ride).Looking at a thunderbird sc.All it needs is a brake booster that costs about 1500 bucks retail (but I can take it apart and fix it).The next sweet thing is about it is that it's jet black,So there is going to be 2 sweet fords at the track this year that both can put a spankin on that black truck!
