The races at West Olive will now be run by someone other than myself. I've talked with Marty Whitehead who runs the races at Rider's parking lot on Saturdays, and he's agreed to take care of running the races at WOOR. This change will go into effect starting this coming Sunday (July 18, 2004) and has the approval from Chad. I'm going to miss all my friends, but for the moment I have to step aside. I apologize for the short notice.

Mr Warner you will be truly missed, ive allways felt that you are one of the main reasons why racing for us has been so fun, all your colorful and funny comentary allways makes us laugh.

I hope that things will start going better for your wife, your allways in my thoughts and prayers, hopefully you will be back out at the helm soon my friend things wont be the same without you. :cry:

Went to rc world today and got a good deal on a o.s rg. I ran 7 tanks through it today. Just need to lean it out some more yet and finnish breaking it in.

Busted,Not sure about all that:rolleyes: I run a stock pbs hyper7(motor pipe evrything but the tires).And have a fun time are you mad about all the teasing between the k-cars and ofna?Thats all in good fun.I will say this if woor wants a better turnout yes things need to change .The race flyers need to be out in the spring for the cash,trophy and series races.Not the week before!!I for one and many other racers plan are sumer in the spring.If I need time off from work it has to be turn in back in april for the year! Other then that woor is a great place! this is my first year racing 8th buggy and everyone has helped me at one point! The frist day there I was rready to pack up and leave then Clif came over and helped me another time I forgot my glow starter at home Mike let me use his.Last week Tim help me by showung me how to fix my rear diff.Thats just a few I can think of wright now I am sure theres more.Sorry you are so upset with things busted .Later Ed

What lost it for me was the track still seemed to be set more for the gas crowd. Even if it was made more "electric friendly" this year. Monster jumps and sections where a heavy truck or buggy work better have kind of a negative impact on guys who are just starting out in the dirt, especially if they dont have crates of equipment and gobs of cash. I'll see what happens for indoors this year I guess...

if you guys are looking to have a good time racing head up to village hobbies in hesperia, it's very laid back and we have a blast. we usually run all electric. track just isn't big enough for 1/8 scale, but is big enough for 1/10 nitro stadium truck.
as far as WOOR, I raced there today for the first time and had fun for the most part, but I am all 1/10 electric and the track just isn't made for that. I wish you guys good luck racing though, and it is a superb track for nitro, it's just not my thing.

It been said before guys all you have to do is say something .The track has a built in cut out for the electric class its has been posted here before and been said if you guys want to run it just say somthing.And yes the track is big for electric with out the cut out.I wouldnt want to run my truck on it with out the cut out being used.And as I said before some things do need to change.A set schedule would be nice in the sping.

Today was Marty 1st time at WOOR. He had a great time and hopes everybody else did.

I can say that a set schedule would have been the cats meow... I did have someone that was in the clear to make one with no boundries (free roam). But aparantly that didnt work..Never the less I would like to remind everyone like ED did. I saw electrics go good today.

If something needed to be changed I'm sure everyone would have tried to accomodate the needs of any class. Again you need to say something.

Also I would like to make a point here.. There is talk going on about motors in the 1/8th scale class. Well everyone is legal!! for one.. And it wouldnt matter if I gave someone else my car to drive for a day and I took another.. One thing that I learnd about this sport is it dosnt matter what ya run (In general)You can have the biggest baddest motor the world has ever seen and most likely you WILL get passed buy a better DRIVER anywere on the track at ANY track.For example *sorry to drag you into this Ken* Kennedy is all over my back bumper not with a killer motor, rather better driving skills than myself. So $ isnt a major factor in this game. I know of a few buggys that on a good day they can walk all over me and they were had for around 300 bucks.. No matter wich way ya look at it the track is fun and the guys tell me it is so I know I'm doing something good. I know ya cant make every one happy but I guess someone lost the big picture and that is to get out there and race, Not go run to the store to buy something that someone has thats faster than you.. Most of the success or magic, luck, what have ya happens with the thing that some have forgotten about latley. "The controler" Ya cant get mad at your car or the peeps around you cuz your not doing well or cant get a handle on it. And most of all dont vent out on others,Its not thier fault you didnt ask for help or advice or even voice a proposal to make a change for the better. I treat everyone even steven out here hands down and they know it. If they need to talk to me about something I'll sit down and listen but I have to have that oppratunity.I'm NOT a mind reader never have been never will be.

This thread is gettin too heavy for me! We all need to step back and see that all this bickerin and politacal B.S. does no good at all. I'm not the fast guy and I have no money to spend on my car. So if I dont break, then thats good enough for this yahoo!

I can't agree anymore that WOOR is a great place to be at. We have a great group of guys that help out each other and have fun. Just like we do on this thread with joking and having a good time. We need to keep together and WORK together to make as a family and keep it FUN.

AMEN my WOOR Brotheren, I can not bring anything to mind when I had a problem with something at Woor that Chad did not fix or do his best to resolve it, as far as a family place if it wasnt a family place my kids would not insist on coming with me everytime I go there cause kids dont go where they dont like it!!!!!!!! Just My 2cents :cool:
