Where do you guys plan on doing your local racing at? Raw Roots, West Olive, Hesperia?? Let me know so we can get the west bound boys together.

Start with 400, then go to 600 and finish it with 1000.
You can also use some finer stuff to make the final
polishing a little easier, like 1200 or 1500. Then buff
it with some polishing cream and it'll look like chrome!!
Restricted_GT 02-27-2004, 06:14 PM Sheesh if I didnt know better I'd say John took the lil scrap piece of paper that I had my formula writen on. ;)

Yep, I finished mine with a 1500 grit, and it looks pretty nice. Don't forget to water it a lot, it will make the sand paper last way longer and remove all the dirt that's on the surface of the head.
Rich, I'll show you mine if you want this saturday night, so you know what kind of finish you can expect (at least, 'cause I'm not a professional)
John, did you check your email ?
Mike
John Warner 02-27-2004, 07:06 PM Chad........... YGM!

dan-o 02-29-2004, 09:04 AM top this.......... P5 baby!!!! MBX5 is on order and I am suffering from cabin (indoor racing ) fever!!! Sounds like alot of 1/8th this year thats good....about the surface are you addin some clay Chad????? Dan Cook, Russ Heath and myself are a itchin' lets get it on!!!
Restricted_GT 02-29-2004, 12:54 PM Yes I am adding clay to the mixture, The 1/8th scale class should be even bigger yet this year with the addition of a bunch of new cars floating around on the shelves collecting dust. Also John and I are going to ensure that the track is in top condition for ALL classes, The idea is to make it more 10th scale friendly. We will be holding a track building day sometime soon for all you guys to come out and drink some free beer, (keg) This will give the mojority of racers from all the classes a chance to help design and make the track.
John Warner 02-29-2004, 10:02 PM Wonder should we start a thread for the WOOR banked dirt OVAL track??

Mike Champ 03-02-2004, 11:19 PM Yadda yadda yourself Kanai lover hehehee
Good ta see ya back out here stranger
I haven't drove my Kyosho yet, but I can tell you that it looks sweat, and I'm very excited about it. Can't wait, can't wait...
Just missing the P/S (should come this week) for the old (but not that bad) OS and then all I have to do is setup the throttle linkage and add a steering servo... (+ the usual stuff to run the car properly : filter oil, etc...)
Chad, I should I've kept your servo a little longer, you wouldn't even have noticed... :D LOL (More seriously, sorry about the delay to give you that back, I've forgotten about it 'cause it was sitting in the back of my toolbox for about 6 months now...)
So what are you guys gonna run against the Kyosho Beasts...
Chad, where do you get those cases of nitro fuel (the O'donnel 30%)? I'd like to get one and don't worry about fuel for a while. Please let me know, I am in for 1 case if that is available). Also, were you running the A5 plug with the RZ-V01B or the A8? LMK...
Tim, are you going to show up one more time at GLRC indoor track for sedans races? I will go this WE (saturday and sunday), so I hope to see you there...
Mike
Mike Champ 03-02-2004, 11:23 PM Hey Champ man!!!! Yeah I think we should team up our two kyosho's as a dynamic duo against the guys out here.
That's fine with me Chad...
I'd like to see how it is on the dark side (i.e. to team up against others to give them hard time...) LOL  :D
I'm so funny sometimes... LOL. Nevermind... Private joke... Sorry about that guys...
Mike
Restricted_GT 03-02-2004, 11:25 PM Mike, I think I ran the #8 with 30%, As for the fuel, We should have the guy from (cant member) hobby shop out there every week and I mention'd that we go threw ALOT of fuel and he said he would supply us all summer long with odonnell 30%. I'm not sure what air cleaner I'm using yet this summer but I'm looking at every option as to NOT suck in the black talcome powder .
John Warner 03-02-2004, 11:28 PM Chad, where do you get those cases of nitro fuel (the O'donnel 30%)? I'd like to get one and don't worry about fuel for a while. Please let me know, I am in for 1 case if that is available). Also, were you running the A5 plug with the RZ-V01B or the A8? LMK...
Mike
Mike.... William said he would get you special prices that you can't
beat anywhere else if you (or you and friends) buy by the case!!
Somebody I know has a brand new Mugen MBX, and it's NOT me!! Darnit!!!
Restricted_GT 03-02-2004, 11:29 PM HHmmm now here is an Idea...... since it looks like we will be having a series of races out here hows about a manufacture's series?? yanno kinda like Ferarri in F1 but kyosho in offroad.
John Warner 03-02-2004, 11:32 PM Well I know this much for sure......... We WILL have one of the finest off-road RC tracks to be found anywhere around!! Oh, and talking about "around" hows the plans for the "round" track coming along???
Mike Champ 03-02-2004, 11:34 PM Mike, I think I ran the #8 with 30%, As for the fuel, We should have the guy from (cant member) hobby shop out there every week and I mention'd that we go threw ALOT of fuel and he said he would supply us all summer long with odonnell 30%. I'm not sure what air cleaner I'm using yet this summer but I'm looking at every option as to NOT suck in the black talcome powder .
That's what I remember you were running but wasn't sure. Thanks.
As for the fuel, that sounds good then. I think he told me he can have the 30% for $29 and the 20% for $25. Thats's not too bad. Maybe we can have a price if we buy several cases...
I would imagine you don't want any dirt into your (this horsepower information has been replaced by x.x 'cause it's too high and can't be real... lol :dude: ) x.xHP engine... Better get the best one out there and spend the few extra bucks to get optimal protection for that precious engine...
Also, I'm looking at air filter oil. What kind would you recommand (I have the Kyosho air filter, of course...)
Mike
Restricted_GT 03-02-2004, 11:34 PM Funny you should ask cuz I'm envisioning the track in my head (planning) and im going around it :freak: and its making me dizzy!!!.
Restricted_GT 03-02-2004, 11:37 PM Now I see why ya wanna team up with me.... ya saw the rating on my new toy (Rich is still gasping) but in alot of the pics I have seen and forums on the RB site alot of the fast guys with $ engines use the AE prefilter oil.
Mike Champ 03-02-2004, 11:39 PM HHmmm now here is an Idea...... since it looks like we will be having a series of races out here hows about a manufacture's series?? yanno kinda like Ferarri in F1 but kyosho in offroad.
That sounds great for me...
Who else do we have here :
OFNA with Rich and Tim and Cliff and Josh (We might split that in 2 teams...)
Mugen with Dave
Thunder Tiger with Jason
That might be fun... What do you guys think ?
Restricted_GT 03-02-2004, 11:43 PM Yeah that sounds like alot of fun and it can make big rivals between the manufacturers. (whooooohoooo)
Restricted_GT 03-02-2004, 11:50 PM Dave wont be alone since he has the Kzoo guys, Here is a perspective..... OK we will have our own drivers points during the season, but the car points will most likely be different from the drivers points,,,depending on how the cars themself finnish each week,Now with the huge mixture of different kinds of cars we have out here that can and prolly will be just as exiting as the drivers points.
