Ok I completly went through my suspension. It handles like a enzo now.Perfect brake bias.Just enough weight transfer in the bends. And new shoes to boot!Hehe shoes, boot.I think I might stay with the 13 tooth bell.Running the 14t in the yard over heats the bell and makes the shoes gooey.I got the motor tuned out so she runs at 220 230 and it screams on the top end.Not like last weekend when it kind of sound sick on the big end.2 more weeks I will have my spair motor.I have not yet mad up my mind on witch motor to get.I love this top motor. You set the carb and it stays tuned with no guessin.Rb is a choice since house of hobbys in muskegon is now a dealer. But I have herd nothing but good things about the rex P5 motor. They say its just as fast as a ws72 .Dont know what am going to do???

John Warner
05-09-2004, 09:36 AM
Never mind the last post. I just talked to Chad on the phone and he says the sun is shining, and everythings looking great. There is however some standing water on the track that he and Nolan are getting rid of. So...... I'm heading up the in about 20 minutes!!

Well I wish i could go but I got that mothers day stuff i have to do.Plus my buggy is running funny. When it heats up it acts like its got a air leak.I went and sprayed motor cleaner at the base of the carb when it was running and it killed it instantly. So i siliconed the car to the motor hoping that will fix it.Well se later this afternoon.

Couldn't find an alternator here in this wonderful

You've got to be kidding me,You cant fix a alternator! How many parts are in there?2 brushes, zener diode(or some thing to regulate) and a few other small parts.Improvize.Rubber bands and glue work good on hondas. What happened to the ford??You didnt brake it did yha. Also thats your choice for livin in tim buck two.Well I hope yha have it fixed soon.

The track turned out pretty good after we got off all that water. the one corner of the oval had to be around a foot of water. Engine didn't want to run right either it didn't help with all this humidity either

Track opens around 10 and racing starts around 1. I would get a hot glow plug lighter and some extra plugs just in case. I would run it on the track first to see how it runs if you need to change oil. I run 30 weight in my Ofna 9.5. Chad I think runs around 60 weight in K2.

Cliff at Hobby World recommended the megatech plug to me so that is what I bought for my OFNA, but I still have the original one in it so I cant tell you for sure if that is the best one yet!

I am running the prototype FR 21 in my Mugen MT and it runs well. So the production engine should be better. Some of the R&L guys have these and they like it. It is a 3 port and seems to hold a tune well. Just make sure you seal the backplate and carb. Good drivable power. Top end galore!!!
Hey dan-o what kind of header and pipe do you run? I have my Ofna header and pipe on my FR 27 and it doesn,t fit the motor has a smaller exhaust port smaller than Ofna and it leaks.

nolan,

I have ran the JP-1 pro pipe by ofna and now have the RB 9886 pipe on it currently
(one piece) ...no problems with fit....the case is the same on the 27 and the 21 too. We had our 1 st series race at r n l this past saturday...2 8th scales with fantoms in them and looked great for top end and maybe a little soft on the bottom, they needed to be clutched with 1.1 springs as these 2 only had the 1.0 springs in them. That should bring the snap back in the bottom.

Are you coming up to Chad's track at WOOR anytime soon would like to check out your buggy. I'm running the stock springs of the Force 26 motor springs and clutches seem OK for now. I like this motor plenty of to end. Thanks for the help Nolan
