So if all you want is COOL CARS, what kind of a series would you like? We ALL know about Rebel Rods, so move along...nothing to see here...

Personally, I'd like to see NEWER sports cars. Yes, I said NEWER. The 60s and 70s have some cools cars, but I'm a sucker for sleek new design.

Others...
1. Mobster cars...those black classics with bullet holes and moneybags in the back seat
2. I'd love to see Ferrari's and Lamborghini's, but it'll never happen. :(
3. A whole release of retools of old castings
4. hmmmm....

I wouls looooooovvvvvee to see something done with star wars. I know star trek is going to be done soon so star wars is a possibility to me. I would even like to see a group of cars done like the marvel comics or the santa/polar bear series. This is just me being the star wars fanatic i am but still would gobble the stuff up once i saw it on the pegs.

Gangster cars would be killer.
Along those lines, I'd love to see classic 20's,30's and 40's cars.
Cool station wagons would be sweet.
Finally,60's pickups and 4x4's

You forgot to make a 70 - 72 Olds 442 or Cutlass S. One of the world's most polular muscle cars and you didn't EVER make one excpt the convertibles.

a couple other missing links are:
67 Chevelle
69 Chevelle
Beaumont ( any year )
68 Olds 442
late 60s Mustang notchbacks
early 60s Ford Comets

Yes re-tooling alot of the older JLs would be real cool and great sellers.
This list is large but well worth making.

A few on the top
69 Olds 442
67 Mustang
70 Superbee
basically any from Muscle Cars collection 1 and 2

1. Station wagons (big old '60s and '70s barges with faux wood side panels)- '75 Ford Country Squire, '70 Chrysler Town and Country, '70 Oldsmobile Vista Cruiser

2. Excessive '80s (hard to believe but vehicles made in 1984 are now technically 'classics')- '83 Toyota Supra, '88 Toyota Supra, '86 Porsche 944, '80s Mustangs, '80s Firebirds

3. '40s and '50s cars- '51 Hudson Hornet, Henry J, '53 Packard Caribbean, '57 Mercury Turnpike Cruiser, Continental MK II

4. Demolition Derby- a great way to repaint those station wagons and the '74 Monaco ;)

5. Monster trucks- Hot Wheels sells a ton of their Monster Jams, but I think Johnny Lightning could do some awesome replicas of early trucks like the original Bigfoot, USA-1, Awesome Kong, Pony Express ('67 Mustang), Blue Thunder ('68 Camaro), No Problem, King Krunch, Rolling Thunder, and more

6. Winners and Losers- the all time greats (Mustang, Corvette, '57 Chevy) and the all time losers (Gremlin, Pacer, Pinto, Vega, Edsel)

I'd like the Holiday Classics to light up. Push a bulb thru the bottom to have the headlights and taillights glow. Maybe a couple flasher bulbs for the turn signals. :p

-Mazda RX-8
-And some nice retooling of muscle cars(442,68 Mustang, etc)
-I also like the gangster car idea! Very cool!

One more, the Porsche Carrera GT.....and did you know, this car's tires weigh more than the actual wheels! They're magnesium alloy, light as a feather. :D

How about "Killer Cars"? you know, stuff that would cause an accident by just turning a corner, or would kill you in a minor collision.

1). Suzuki Samarai
2). Izusu Trooper
3). Mid seventies Chevy Pickup truck
4). Ford Pinto ( Notice I have no brand loyalties here)
5). Jeep CJ-5/CJ-7/CJ-8
6). Chevrolet Corvair
7). Audi 4000 ( I think they had throttle issues)
8). Early Mustangs ( Could be in a "Flames" Series too)

Come on, join in if you know of any others. There have been plenty of Death Rides built.
Speaking of Deathrides, How about:

Bonnie and Clydes '34 Ford Sedan?
or maybe Harry Chapins Volkswagon Rabbit?
Maybe James Deans Porsche Spyder?
General Pattons Staff Car?
I see endless variations here.

Sorry, I think the Montana Cold has Frozen the few brain cells I had left from the seventies. But about once a month these threads start, and The boardmembers here have some awesome ideas too, But who is listening?
We have asked for :
Stationwagons.
Monzas.
Decent Pro Street Cars.
Impala's.
Cutlass.
Stock Cars.
Funnycars.
Top Fuel Dragsters.
Etc.

Re-casts of some cars that were done quite poorly, like:
1970 Superbee.
1969 Cutlass/442.
1969 Roadrunner.
1969 Cougar Hardtop.
1983/84 Monte Carlos.

Some of the Johnny Lightning Re-cast stuff is AWESOME though:
1970 Challenger's
1970 Cudas
1970 Chevelle
1969 Nova's

And I feel that Playing Mantis/Johnny Lightning should have a Liason that at least watches this board and can see and hear what the Diehard collectors want.
Just my .02 worth.
Sorry to vent it out on the poor folks on this board.
Chuck.

The gangster cars would go over real well with me...and of course...
70-72 cutlass s (442)hardtop,in another thread I gave 16 possible varitions for this casting and I'm sure I missed some.

and I also like the idea of some early stuff, like from the begining of autos up to the late 30's.

One that always seems to be passed on is the Ford Pantera which was a pretty WICKED ride with it'sfiberglass wedge shaped body, 6 speed trany and the mid engine 351 Cleveland!

That might be a COOL one to cast, as not many of these were made!

I've said it before, and I'll say it again, Full Size 60's Muscle Cars like '67 Impala, '65 Galaxie, Furies, etc. Personally, I think an Impala series would sell very well, 1962, 1963, 1964, 1965-66, 1967, & 1969. You could also reuse the '58 and '95 castings! Big Muscle is in, so act fast!

What a cool thread! Everything I want has already been posted, especially wagons, land barges, and '80's horror shows...

Under the heading Land Barges (and I know this has been thrown out there before), the "personal luxury coupes" of the mid-late '70s would be COOL...
think:
'77 T-bird/Cougar
'73-'77 Grand Prix
'73-77 Monte Carlo
'73-'77 Regal
'73-'75 Cutlass ('76-'77 has been done, right?)
Cordoba
Magnum
Mark IV (is that the right number?)
Eldorado

the Ford ones in particular (Tbird, Cougar, Lincoln Mark) when done in black, look like next-generation gangster cars to me.

Gangster car series would be awesome!

New Mini-vans:

We've got the new 2004 Nissan Quest SE, the one with all of the windows in the roof! I think you could get a pretty cool casting with this mini-van.

Add to this the upcoming retooled VW eurobus, and maybe play with the Odyssey and Sienna to give them a little style and pizazz.

STATION WAGONS...
Vista Cruisers, Estate wagons, Country Squires, Safaris, Colony Park... spanning from the late 60s and up to the last Custom Cruiser/Roadmaster Estate.

Land Yachts
Olds 98 Regency, Electras, Caprice/Impala, Imperials, some Caddys and Lincolns.

80s/90s cars
bridge the gap between the classics and modern cars. The 80s Cutlass will be a start, Get that Firebird out there, a new Monte Carlo casting. 88 Cutlass Supreme Indy pace car, 90 Beretta indy pace car and the Aurora pace cars

Oldsmobiles
How about a whole series? Could use the existing castings along with alot that are missing. 68-72 Cutlass/442, 53 Starfire and some of the ones I listed above.

Oh, and it doesn't fit with any of these, but a 69 Chevelle is needed!

I'd especially like a 58 Vette with the twin headlights!
Also re-do the 69 Firebird casting and make sure it's not a 4x4 this time......a 69 Trans Am (First of a Legend)

1964 Chevy Impala 409

And please, please make my dream car - - - 1966 Caprice w/396 but not an SS.

Well, being a motocycle fan, and seeing what PM can do with diecast cars, how about motorcycles in 1/64. Any brands would be great, Hogs, Dukes, Kwakas, Suzi's, Yamie's, Hondas, Beemers,Guzzi's, Trumpies, Customs, race/stunt, Celuloid, old and new. I can just picture an old WLA right next to an Eddie Lawson rep next to a Arlen Ness custom next to a Ducati 888 in my display cabinet.
Cheers
