Glitcher-I will most likely be racing carpet until after the nationals. Either at River Junction or at The Gate, depending on my schedule. Fast Frank may be racing dirt, but he will have to confirm that himself. I am racing at the gate for sure this weekend. I have a Saturday comitment already.

Googs - you comming up this weekend?

The track has changed and now flows alot better. It has a crossover, which I thought would not be a good idea, but it actually works really well. Ryan knows what he is doing when he builds a track. I just wish I could beat him for once! My time is comming.

Not sure of my racing plans yet. May do the carpet oval thing at Beaver or Ravenna. May come up and do the dirt thing. Not sure at this point.

Urbo Turbo- I think that I have had enough carpet racing for the season

I will not be racing this weekend. I am going to stay home and spend quality time with the family.

I do plan on making the last Saturday at Pierpont though. :)

RICO- The only way that I can beat the Dietz Man is if he breaks in the main.:(

Maybe one day I will be able to beat him????

Dietz
04-04-2004, 10:53 PM
Ben, Are you going to run 4wd? Maybe we could get Rico to go up and race. The FD4 will be a little better than last time. My R&D department will be working out the bugs for a while to enhance its winning ability.

Torinogt1971
04-05-2004, 06:56 AM
Frank-I am sure that any bugs that the FD4 may have will be overcome by your driving. I am in the middle of fixing my XX-4. When the belt came apart, it ruinned two of the pulley's. Upon tearing the car apart I found a couple of seized bearings. I hope to have it up and running by Saturday. Are you going to be a man and run a modified or be a boy (like Rico ) and run a stock motor?J/K:p

I figure that Rico will have to work. He does not usually get weekends off.

Googs - Still going to make it?

Dietz - How is the R&D going? I heard the FD4 is sweet, are you comming this weekend so I can see it?

Torino - Are you ready?

Are any of you guys going to attend the http://www.ohiorcseries.com/ this summer? It sounds exciting and should be a good time to race with some good competition. I still have not figured out what I am going to do for a home track for the summer. Any ideas anyone? There is supposed to be a track opening up in Ashtebula, but it is gas only. Where will there be electric? McCullough' sounds cool, but it is a bit far to go every weekend or even everyother weekend. Let me know what you guys think.

I had a great time this weekend at CRCRC and I know a lot of the Pierpont crew did as well, good job guys! 3 guys from our track in the A is Awesome!!!!!!!!!! Going home w/ hardware is even better. See you guys this weekend!!

Actually I just heard that Freddies in Ravenna is having offorad this summer. He is building a track on an old baseball diamond next door to his new shop. Has anyone heard of that? I think he is a lot of talk, but I hope it is true. That would be the closest place to me! Hopefully I will see you guys this weekend. Unless your Scared to get whipped by me :jest: !!!!!!!! Come bring it boys! Since I am at the top of the points in truck I think I have the right to talk a little sh!t.

Biggins or is it "Race Nazi"? I am never afraid to go fast, at least in a straight line. The last time I raced 4wd at Dougs, I TQed!! I realize that it was three years ago and I blew it in the main, but I still TQed. I have to make sure that my antique 4wd will hold up with street weapon belts in it first, then Mr. Dietz and myself will come down and visit. By the way, who got scared and said no mod buggy at Pierpont??????? Have fun with the gas RCN racing on Saturday. I know how much you love gas racing.

I'm hoping things work out as well. I talked to Ryan from Pierpont and from what he told me he's working on a building in Jefferson Ohio. Per his email to me he hopes to have things opened sometime in October. If I get anymore information at all I'll be sure to post as I'm also deciding where I'm running this winter.

Information received and delivered as promised!

Just to reduce the confusion my real name is Ryan and so is the person that is opening the track. I'm unsure on what his nick is on this board but I'll relay his message to me.

Hey Ryan!,
Great news, I made the deal on the building yesterday. We get the keys on Oct. 1st. I intend to have the doors open on Oct 16th. I will be sending emails to everyone as soon as the rest of the details are worked out. The building is in the Ashtabula County Fairgrounds, so access, directions, everything will be a breeze. The building is 60x220. The pit end is concrete, and the track end is clay. The biggest dilema at this point is heat. The track will be in the 50x100 range. The room last years track was in was 70x30 just to give you an idea. I will have more info soon. I will be at K&B this coming weekend.
That was his reply today so I'm very excited to check out the new track this winter. After this weekend when I talk to him face to face I'll try and squeeze him for anymore info.

After speaking with Ryan about the upcoming track here is some additional information.

Planned opening date is Oct 16th.
He will be running Electric classes on Tuesdays and Saturdays
Depending on interest he is open to running indoor Gas on Sundays.
Enthusiasm looked good from the racers at K&B raceway and with the show of hands it would appear that Sunday indoor gas could be very viable.

As rules develope for the gas class I'll post more information. Once things are underway I'll most likely start a new thread with whatever the new track name is.

Looking forward to some great racing this winter.
