Dude.I got a 45 amp p supply that works great, just a little heavy to lug around. We were short of room at the time so i left it at home.I usually run two chargers so i dont have the charge the nite before like i used to.I would like a smaler one so it isnt so heavy to lug around, like i said,i only use it to power one charger so i dont need 45 amps. You looked great in pancar this time, nice consistent line and the car was hooked. How much did Jake make you spend in E-MAXX parts:lol: I thought that was very unselfish and very kind of you to let your stuff out to be raced.Makes us feel good to know that the racers that we have met and the ones that we have known for quite sometime, are really a great bunch of people and they know how to show you a great time as well as have a great time themselves.I guess that's why we dont mind traveling as far as we do,we know we will have a great time and that makes it all worth it.Take care Casey and i'll see ya in Esky:D

So George are you gonna try your hand at running off road if Jon has a small track again? If you want I can modify a Legend so you don't feel out of place. :)

Hey, I think that I will work on a legend for off-road. Maybe I can put big tires on it so that it doesn't matter if it is upside down or not. Actually, I had a long talk with a friend this past weekend, and I think he said that he might join me in a couple of jaunts to carpet race down state. hmmm???

Jake I am thinking about it. I have the electronics in it now. If I do would you run a body that isn't so cool? That way you could kick the speed up and not worry about scuffing that nice body you have.hehe

Mel, you won't be real happy to hear this.....apparently you have not seen my "display" body for my TC3! You know how cool my race body is....... as for my "display" body all I have to say is "purple glitter......."

I would consider running a beater body, BUT my beater body has NO downforce, so unless you got an extra Stratus chilling out waiting for me to run, it looks like it will be a "pretty" body if I go........ :D Don't worry, I'm am not afraid to "trade some paint" with you on a roadcourse or mess up the body for that matter. If we were talking trash about racing oval, I'd just move over, your already faster than I can ever dream to be on an oval.........

Jamie Keith and Greg are going down Sunday morning. I am going down Sunday morning also.
Jake check out the Onroad section for update on whether the road course will be setup indoors or out. Either way they set the track up on Saturday. High temperture for Sunday is going to be 50 degrees. If it is sunny and the wind isn't blowing that wouldn't be too bad I guess. The oval will be setup indoors.
Casey sorry to here about the teeth. Hope you got some good pain killers for them. I know I would want them. Later

Hi guys. So what class is everyone running?

We have been running 4 cell mod and 4 cell 19 turn, I hear most of you guys are running 6 cell stock, is that the class of choice Sunday?

We haven't decided for sure but I think we will be there. We would probably go Sunday morning as well.

Ted

How have you been Ted? I hear you did well at Nats. I also heard you could have won except for a unavoidable wreck in 12th scale. I hope to see you Sunday. I know I will be running 6 cell stock. MAYBE if I get daring run 4 cell as well. I know Keith and greg will run 6 cell. It will be good to see you again. I will make sure to tell my dad you are going. See you there.

Hey guys I will be running 6 cell stock.
Jamie sorry you couldn't make it for the Soo we had a blast.
Mel if you want to use one of my packs that's fine. Have you tried the one you got from me yet though.
My car is almost hooked up I will just need a little more help in tuning that radio (3pjs)so that it works for my driving.
I was disapointed in my main though(besiades the obviose reason) that I only did 4.7 second laps. The race before I did some 4.3 and constant 4.5 and did 52 laps But at the trophy I only did 49 laps
He 3 wise men so what do you say about a little more tuning for a poor lost oval Soul

See ya there

I have a suggestion for all the pan car guys. Since this is the last Jackson race of the season (maybe forever if they don't run races next year), let's go out with a bang and run 6-cell modified. If that frightens too many people, then make it 6-cell 19-turn. I'll bring 19-turns for myself and two others (sounds like Ted has few, too). I've watched 4-cell races at JCC and participated in 4-cell mod (with a 9-turn) and it's DULL DULL DULL. Anybody remember the Sapphire (17-turn) class at USA? We had great racing with NO battery worries, and the Woods guys broke the track record the 2nd week using the "slow" 17-turn motors. Isn't anybody else tired of trying to squeeze an extra 2 watts out of your stock motor every week? :( Let's just bolt in motors that make 150W and worry more about handling for a change :D .

rowle1jt
04-19-2002, 10:31 PM
Well Kevin, all I have to say to that is:

I'M IN!!!

I can "snag" a 19 turn from "this guy" that I know. Although I would rather run a real mod. I think a 14, 15 or 16 would be fun. My car will be a rocket and I will most likely break things, but I got parts. :)

Everyone else, are you in?

Someday I will go to Jackson, but not this time. Sounds like they have real racing there (legends and sprints):D Tomorrow I have a full day. I hope to put the LASTcoat of urethane on the toy box. Of course I will also be turning over the ground in the garden, and last but not least I will be in front of the tube hoping that they can avoid the BIG ONE at Talladega, but ready just in case. Jake, I hope you avoid the big one also. If it turns out to be a great day, do me a favor and keep it to yourself.

04-20-2002, 10:53 AM
George, I will not keep it to myself. There is always someone there with a tv watching the Nascar race so that is not an excuse. The rest of that stuff? You can do that monday. Even if I do bad, I'll still rub it in, you know I will. :)

Well George........ I HOPE you got your toy box done. Casey and I had a lot of fun. Went down and practiced Saturday evening running oval and Casey and I were real close getting around the track. He would pull out a few car lengths down the straight and I would make it all up in the corners (because the L3O scrubs speed in the corners, that and my car is "Mel tuned"!) there were a few times that Casey found his car pointing the wrong direction coming out of a corner. Lets just say that there is more than one "spur gear" scar on the front end of the Dodge! :D I now know exaclty what Mel meant when he said that the track doesn't "come in" until Sunday. The first two packs we ran were real loose until a bunch of guys in stock truck ran for a little while. Sunday Casey, Kevin and I ran "Mod" pancar (19 turn) and Kevin was pulling lap times in the same neighborhood as Keith, Greg, Mel and Jamie. Even with a faster motor I couldn't beat those guys. The other class I ran was 12th scale. I just ran Casey's car. Man was that fun! It was a prety simple roadcourse, and once I got the track down and got the hang of a car that handled that good I was doing all right. For the main I switched to a better motor and was pulling real good laps (ask Mel or Casey, they were watching the computer) although they were inconisistent. I need practice. A lot of it. Oh well, Mel LMK what you want for that Woods 12th scale, do you have any spare parts, I can imagine how much harder they are to find than a 10th scale. Well now that I have written a small novel, I'll shut up.

Oh yeah, I got second in Mod pancar, Casey and Kevin had a small "accident" where Casey's car was 5 feet off the ground, and in 12th scale I didn't finish cause I got rear ended and I think the diff went.

Hey George - Do you have the "Outlaw Legends" car that Ken Bouchard built? Since this is the last race of the season, we'll probably have a few crazy people (like me and Rick) who want to see how bad we can make our cars handle with either 6-cells or mod motors. I know Rick has a car with a T-bar and I've got an even stranger experiment thrown together, and Brian Clifton also wants to get silly.

kingpin
04-23-2002, 08:22 PM
Hi Kevin. The outlaw that I had was one that I made myself, and no, I don't have it anymore. I don't know who ended up with Kenny's. As I remember, you kicked mine and Rick's butts with a normal Legend with good batt's and a mod motor. If we do one of those specials, I think that I will stick with what works, and copy your idea for motor and battery. I am always glad to get an extra chance to race. It is too bad that you didn't make it to the Soo. I raced a pan car, and actually finished a couple of heats. I was in the D main, mostly because they didn't have an E.

Now for smarty pants. "Jake" Just because you have raced all over the state recently, don't take a high hat attitude. I had a fine day Sunday. No I did not finish the Toy Box, did that today. No I did not turn any ground over in the garden, it was hard to find it under the four inch snow fall that we had. And, yes I did watch Talladega. It was great except for the big one.... And, I won the fantasy Nascar game for the weekend in my group  Usually one of my grandsons beats me. I have been reading the entries above, and it sounds like you are going up north again?? Does this mean you won't be in MP Saturday? I will have your car there. You don't want to leave it with me too long, I might accidently sell it. Just finished selling two and buying two. Know anyone who needs a Sprinter? I have one on ebay and another coming in the mail. See ya.

rowle1jt
04-24-2002, 10:33 AM
George, it is very doubtful that I will be going up north. I have to give Kevin his motor back and get my truck from you. And Jamie also wants to try some of my "Tribo" drops. So I will be in MP for a little while. Casey wants me to go to ESKY with him REAL bad, I just can't do it because of school. I don't think anyone realizes that to ME school IS more important than racing....... Oh well, my parents want me to test drive a boat for them on the river saturday, so I might be up there in the afternoon for a couple hours that will be it, otherwise I will be giving back/collecting things loaned at MP for short time other than that I will be studying for exams next week.

Jake

PS Didn't mean to upset you George, just had to give you crap. :)

James Hanson
04-24-2002, 01:21 PM
I was just curious about what those tribo drops are all about?? I have heard many people talk about them and Big jim OMG big jim doens;t shut up about them. I WILL be in mount P racing this weekend for sure. Should be fun with eveyone there again. See you all there.

rgmon
04-24-2002, 06:33 PM
Jake: How do these drops compair to Zubaks Speed Juice? I have been using this Juice for over a year. It seems to keep the com clean and reduces the wear from hard brushes. If you haven't used any I am going to try and find the MP Track this Saturday. I have a couple extra bottles.

rowle1jt
04-24-2002, 07:06 PM
Hi, I have never tried Zubacks stuff, I never heard anything good about it that would make me want to try it. :) What I have heard is that it gives you more rpm at the loss of torque, with a stock motor you can't afford to lose torque......

The tribo is pretty cool, it keeps the comm clean, wears less and the motor actully "feels" better on the track. I have only used it in stock, never tried it in mod.
If you need directions just ask, just about anyone in this thread can give them to you including me. :)

Take the first MP exit, at the 4th stop light (High Street) turn left this is also West M20. Go to the 4th stoplight (Bradley st) and turn right. The school is just up the road a little on the left. Go around to the back of the building and you will see where everyone is parking and going in. I won't be racing but I will be stoping in for a few minutes.
Good luck in MP!
