It's never a pain chuck. It kept us busy and stopped me from fooling around with my set up. It basically kept me from screwing it up LOL

Well you guy's made my week go a whole lot better than it would have been if I were on my own and I thank you's all for that!! Sounds like I owe you guy's a trip to Hooter's when we get going on the winter racing schedule.

What do you guys change on setup to go outside? I am thinking that my car is a little stiff.....40wt and blue side springs...?? My thinking is that I need to soften it up so it will roll over the imperfections (sp?) in the track a little better. LMK if I am wrong. :)

JakeJake - go with 25 wt in the sides and keep the blue springs. Go with somewhere around 60 wt in the center shock with a medium spring. Soften the front end.

Did somebody say hooters? I'll hold you to that Chuck, lol.

As for the Soo race, I have a sinking feeling that the oval race will be held on opening weekend of rifle season here in WI. Hopefully I'm wrong. Chuck did well at the clone along with Calvin. It took some time for them to get the line down, but they did Michigan proud by their performance in the last runs. Way to go.

OOPS I forgot one guy and that's Dave (sorry Dave) he kept the track open late for The Flying Hawaiian (Calvin) and me. That time was needed for sure and fun as always. Yes I did say Hooters, Howler it's always a eye opening experience there and my eyes need cleaning out.

There I was laying in bed thinking of the good time I had at the Tri-clone races this past week and I thought I thanked everyone, but NOOOO not even close. Bob for the tires he loaned me to race in the brusheless class and then I spin out in front of him and take him out (sorry) Bob!!!!!!!!! You did make the A though!!!!!! Danny the Dude and his partners for getting me a new radio from Track-Side and Scotty for giving me a deal on it, Thanks guy's!!! Then there is Novak's Charlie Suangka (who just won Reedy's International Touring Car Championship) and his dad for setting me up in the brushless class (awesome class) who also set me up with some goodies that he didn't want to pack back to California. Now I can set up a car before I get to the Clone very nicely,Thanks again hey. Dwight (team KSG)from Kentucky for setting up the new radio I knew nothing about but since have read the book(no time there). And again Dave and the track crew did a great job!!!! One other guy Monte why Monte, his music kept me awake the new stuff he's into. I'm a 50's and 60's guy and he's a 90's there's a big difference there. Was everything all roses NOOOO one fly in the ointment the first person I ever met shed a bad light on the hobby and oval racing. I won't mention his name because everyone in the Midwest knows him and even people in California knew of him so he made his own name. I guess I didn't have the finess he wanted when we were on the track together. Oh well I had a great time racing and look forward to it again. If I missed anyone, sorry it must be old age setting in for me. It was a Awesome week. Thanks Everyone!!!!!!

Here is the schedule for the ROAR Region 5 Paved Oval Chapionships---Fri.

Sept.17th track open for practice 1pm till 10pm

Sat. Sept 18 track open at 8am for practice racing will start at 3:30pm---4 rounds of Qualifiers---resort after round 3---Mains will be run at 8pm---single A main format 8 cars in a main.

Classes will be---1/10 scale 4-cell stock---19t---Mod BYO ROAR legal motors---no hand out tires.

Demo classes---Novak Brushless---SS 5800 system must BYO Sportsman

Stock---same as regular stock but you will have to Break Out of the class at 32-4:00.00 This class is for newer drivers and for those who just like to relax have some fun and race in a regional event.

Roar membership required---single day memberships $15.00 availible at track---Race Fee $30.00---Everyone entering the event will receive 20 TriClone Bucks that can be used during the carpet season or next years outdoor season.

I just wanted to say thanks to Nick for having a great race day this past sunday. Great weather, great freinds. I am glad to see some of the guys from IN made it up to race. I hope we can get this to be more often next summer. The track is awesome and "Cap tires are awesome". :-)

To Joel, Nick and JON. The earlier schedules are posted, the better for those of us who have to plan ahead. I know, I know, you think that a retired person can come and go at will. Well, with 6 grandkids and another on the way, Grandma is right now planning our schedule for the whole year. I have to get my dates on the list, so that they will get some consideration. I would hate to have to break in a new Grandma, I have been working on this one for 44 years.

Its called "Too Much Information"! :) Besides, as Mel told us down in Lansing at the race he "lets" his wife do all the bossing and "reaming"..... I guess by letting her do that, she lets him have his afternoon nap/beauty sleep. :devil:

Ok, guys here is the schedule in Mt Pleasant as I know it at this time unless
the school has some conflict after the first of next year. In that case we may have to make some changes. The first race this year is Sat. Sept. 25. Doors open at 10:00 am, sign up at 11:00 and racing starts about Noon. Same as last year.

Well casey will me being in retail and NOT knowing our schedule so far i have to wait until ours is finished. With all the races that we will be racing with our own, MGT. might not even let me go to all of ours. Our schedlue is done through the 31st of this month already. Told you a month in advance. So no racing for me for the rest of this month. :drunk: It sucks but.....thats wal-mart for you.
Would like to go but.......can't trade when everyone is working those days too.

I just need to the dates of the big races at the soo so I may also schedule the time...
