hock 08-19-2004, 10:29 AM It's never a pain chuck. It kept us busy and stopped me from fooling around with my set up. It basically kept me from screwing it up LOL chuck47 08-19-2004, 03:48 PM Well you guy's made my week go a whole lot better than it would have been if I were on my own and I thank you's all for that!! Sounds like I owe you guy's a trip to Hooter's when we get going on the winter racing schedule. rowle1jt 08-19-2004, 04:38 PM Mel, What do you guys change on setup to go outside? I am thinking that my car is a little stiff.....40wt and blue side springs...?? My thinking is that I need to soften it up so it will roll over the imperfections (sp?) in the track a little better. LMK if I am wrong. :) Jake davz 08-19-2004, 05:05 PM Mel, What do you guys change on setup to go outside? I am thinking that my car is a little stiff.....40wt and blue side springs...?? My thinking is that I need to soften it up so it will roll over the imperfections (sp?) in the track a little better. LMK if I am wrong. :) JakeJake - go with 25 wt in the sides and keep the blue springs. Go with somewhere around 60 wt in the center shock with a medium spring. Soften the front end. Howler 08-19-2004, 05:57 PM Did somebody say hooters? I'll hold you to that Chuck, lol. As for the Soo race, I have a sinking feeling that the oval race will be held on opening weekend of rifle season here in WI. Hopefully I'm wrong. Chuck did well at the clone along with Calvin. It took some time for them to get the line down, but they did Michigan proud by their performance in the last runs. Way to go. Promatchracer 08-19-2004, 07:08 PM Hock when is opening weekend Howler 08-19-2004, 07:39 PM Casey, it's always the saturday before thanksgiving. Don't schedual the even on my part by any means. It's so iffy anyways as of late. mel 08-19-2004, 08:06 PM Jake Go with Dave. I am going down with a Lansing setup. I'll probably be a wrenching fool. I will do the easy changes first. I will be there by eight. Supposed to be nice on Sunday. rowle1jt 08-19-2004, 10:01 PM Thanks Zipp! And thanks to you too Mel, will be good to see every one again. :) chuck47 08-20-2004, 09:58 AM OOPS I forgot one guy and that's Dave (sorry Dave) he kept the track open late for The Flying Hawaiian (Calvin) and me. That time was needed for sure and fun as always. Yes I did say Hooters, Howler it's always a eye opening experience there and my eyes need cleaning out. MKingsley 08-20-2004, 10:04 AM the forecast is 77 degrees and sunny all day on Sunday.....is this Michigan??? Promatchracer 08-20-2004, 11:03 AM Yep so what 5 minutes and you'll have a different forcast rowle1jt 08-20-2004, 12:48 PM Its gonna snow during the A...... MKingsley 08-20-2004, 03:06 PM Jake - are you saying that you are going to be in the A??? Jamie Hanson 08-20-2004, 03:43 PM Go Jake!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! rowle1jt 08-20-2004, 04:10 PM If you can't beat 'em...... break 'em! :D LoL No, I just figure that maybe there will be so few of us that I might be in it by default! LoL Some "stuff" has come up, I hope I will still be able to make it. I will have to get my car ready tonight or tommorow....... rowle1jt 08-20-2004, 04:16 PM Well Mike, stranger things have happened. I will say this... if Nick is on time getting there, then I will work my hardest to make the "A"........ I know I am safe from working on my car all day now..... :) Go Jake!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Thanks for the vote of confidence...if only I had 10% of your natural driving ability...then I would be all set. Tell Pops I said "Hi"...Nextel me if you get a chance tonight. Jamie Hanson 08-20-2004, 05:06 PM Jake buddy......My Nextel is gone. Service switch my man. I will give you a call though. rowle1jt 08-20-2004, 07:40 PM Please do as I don't have your number anymore then......... You don't have a 517 number do you? I got a call from someone with a 517-749.... number and didn't know who it was. chuck47 08-22-2004, 12:05 AM There I was laying in bed thinking of the good time I had at the Tri-clone races this past week and I thought I thanked everyone, but NOOOO not even close. Bob for the tires he loaned me to race in the brusheless class and then I spin out in front of him and take him out (sorry) Bob!!!!!!!!! You did make the A though!!!!!! Danny the Dude and his partners for getting me a new radio from Track-Side and Scotty for giving me a deal on it, Thanks guy's!!! Then there is Novak's Charlie Suangka (who just won Reedy's International Touring Car Championship) and his dad for setting me up in the brushless class (awesome class) who also set me up with some goodies that he didn't want to pack back to California. Now I can set up a car before I get to the Clone very nicely,Thanks again hey. Dwight (team KSG)from Kentucky for setting up the new radio I knew nothing about but since have read the book(no time there). And again Dave and the track crew did a great job!!!! One other guy Monte why Monte, his music kept me awake the new stuff he's into. I'm a 50's and 60's guy and he's a 90's there's a big difference there. Was everything all roses NOOOO one fly in the ointment the first person I ever met shed a bad light on the hobby and oval racing. I won't mention his name because everyone in the Midwest knows him and even people in California knew of him so he made his own name. I guess I didn't have the finess he wanted when we were on the track together. Oh well I had a great time racing and look forward to it again. If I missed anyone, sorry it must be old age setting in for me. It was a Awesome week. Thanks Everyone!!!!!! rowle1jt 08-22-2004, 07:02 AM Well Chuck....glad you had fun at Nats, it sounds like a real hoot! JOEL let me know. kingpin 08-31-2004, 09:16 AM To Joel, Nick and JON. The earlier schedules are posted, the better for those of us who have to plan ahead. I know, I know, you think that a retired person can come and go at will. Well, with 6 grandkids and another on the way, Grandma is right now planning our schedule for the whole year. I have to get my dates on the list, so that they will get some consideration. I would hate to have to break in a new Grandma, I have been working on this one for 44 years. George Promatchracer 08-31-2004, 11:26 AM I heard Jon might be racing on the 25th of Sept If So I am going for sure Russ Get the time off just in case If He isn't racing I think we might go find a race mel 08-31-2004, 02:09 PM George Anyone who is married knows the power is in the ring on the wife's hand. It sounds to me she has you right where she wants ya. Can you say " Honey Please "! kingpin 08-31-2004, 08:12 PM You got it Mel.... I have some friends who like to show their wife who's boss. I have never found it necessary, and I bet my prescription for the little blue pill gets filled more often than theirs. Not far off for an old guy like you either. Hee Hee Hee. rowle1jt 08-31-2004, 09:01 PM my prescription for the little blue pill gets filled more often than theirs. Generation-X has a saying for when they hear things like that. Its called "Too Much Information"! :) Besides, as Mel told us down in Lansing at the race he "lets" his wife do all the bossing and "reaming"..... I guess by letting her do that, she lets him have his afternoon nap/beauty sleep. jonny 09-02-2004, 10:23 PM Ok, guys here is the schedule in Mt Pleasant as I know it at this time unless the school has some conflict after the first of next year. In that case we may have to make some changes. The first race this year is Sat. Sept. 25. Doors open at 10:00 am, sign up at 11:00 and racing starts about Noon. Same as last year.
