Hey Jake I didn't know you owned any tires that were worth saving until the next racing season. Sorry couldn't resist. hehe! I don't.....but who says I will have a decent job this fall so I can buy new ones?....... :(

How is the cabin going. Is the garage up?Good, garage is on, shingled, doors and windows are in. All the builder has to finish is the exterior siding on the garage and the cedar shake facing the river WWWAAAYYYYYY up top. And then all the fun REALLY starts for us inside.... :)

Jake - hey you guys should come down to Lansing on August 22 for the Paved Oval Championship Race. We will race any class - Pan cars , touring, Truck , Legends. The setup you run indoors is fine. The track is huge, hope to see some of you that race Mt. Pleasant in the winter.

Dunno.....since the battery from my stock main in the soo is still in my car, it is unlikely that I will have my car ready to go in that amount of time..... Even if I was willing to run it on pavemeant...... (might scratch it!)

MKingsley
07-28-2004, 10:11 AM
With the overwhelming amount of driving skill that you have I can't imagine that your car could get scratched. But remember that most of the track has no walls - you just run off into the grass.

Jake - Let me know if you can get anyone to come. Dave & I are trying really hard to get a good show out there. Dave is getting with Nick about trophies so hopefully it goes well. Foam tires should work fine, I am still using the same batteries that I had last fall.

Hmmmm that sounds like fun. My touring car has rubber tires. Won't know about my pan car though? My batteries are still good. If you are going to go Jake then i can see if i can get the day off and go down too? Let me know what you think?

Casey, nice to see that you are alive and well. The Lansing outdoor oval race in a couple weeks (August 22nd) should be a "must do". The track is just a little west of Lansing just off the highway. It is a really cool banked oval that kinda reminds me of the old banked-oval track in Grand Rapids that is not there anymore. I'm told that the Lansing track used to be a part of an old gokart track. It is now primarily used by 1/4 scale guys during the summer--otherwise I quess that it just sets there unused--WHAT A WASTE. Dave Z. and Mike K. having been trying to jen up interest all summer, but not a lot of guys have made the trip yet. Jamie has been down there 2 or 3 times and has had a really good time. Spary, Butch, Mark, and some of the Lansing guys have also been there. Jamie plans to be there on the 22nd unless his work schedule gets changed again.
Casey, the race is just a one day (Sunday) thing I think; although I would think that if wanted to get on the track earlier in the week to play you probably could. Jamie has run capped tires when he has been there but I would sure think that foams should work just fine also. It is an outdoor race, so you would need to bring your outdoor stuff, but If you make the trip once, I will guarantee you that you will want to do it again. Oldguy

If I go I owuld only be able to go the one day and would need some help with set up
So that way I wouldn't be spending the whole race day tying ot ge it setup just to win the b main I would rathe rget setup close right off the bat and loss in the A

I will think about it and if Russ wants to go and go with me I will really htink about it

Casey

Try and get down to the Tri-clone to watch next weekend You will learn alot about setup and cap tires in one day. I would rather run caps than foams any day. Caps maybe more expesive up front but I still been more than competitive with 3yrs caps tires. Use Cameo lquid tire buffer for supper traction. Talk to Chuck M he has the info on what to run. I'm at work and don't have it handy

More than $3 dollars and I won't have any money left for lunch..... LoL

Anyone got a used set of caps that I can snag for the day? I'd appreicate it.

Jake- I don't think that power will be any issue. We will probably be out there at 8 am or so, not Nick time. Dave & I run 19 turn, as stock is bad slow. Somebody should have some tires for you, and entry I thick is going to be $20, but that is Nick's call, he is supposed to have a flier ready but???? Give me a call if you have any questions.

The race is the Sunday the 22 - the track will open at 8 am. It is in Grand Ledge, if you come from the North take 127 to 69 to 96 and get off at the Grand Ledge exit, go west I guess about 3 miles and it is at Funtyme miniture golf which is on the north side of the road.

Ohh yea forgot to ask because i am not staying up todate with batteries, are those 3600 roar legal?

Promatchracer
08-13-2004, 11:19 PM
Hey Russ I told you when I seen you about the 3600's but I will post here too so everybody will know
The 3600 aren't roar legal and aren't worth a anything either.
The runtime is close to the same as the GP 3300 just a little more
The volts is nothing near the GP's have lots more than the 3600's
I just hope everybody remembers just because trinty says pay it don't go out and do it
Any more ? just ask
