Will this be a one time trip for them, and what kind of rules do they abide by?
They can run roadcourse or oval, it will be their choice since we don't regularly run whatever it is that they are running.

Hey Guys, Sorry I didn't get this posted yesterday, I was real busy all day.

We had another good day at the track on Sat. in the Soo, we were missing Scott and Derrick today, both of them had that ugly flubug that has been going around, hope you guys are feeling better.


For a change I actually had a good day at the track, finally got the truck figured out and had a great battle with Big ROB and Chris in the last couple of laps.

Hi Joel,
Asking Kevin how he liked the spec pan class is like asking me how to drive a mod terminator pro. :lol:
Kevin is convinced that 4 cell stock pan is beneath the dignity of a legend driver. He did however help me set up my car for the race, and continued to tweak it all day (as usual). Many of our more experienced drivers help or adopt the newbies. Kevin adopted me 13 years ago, and much to his chagrin, I haven't turned out too well.
Note to Kevin - I won't tell the above to anyone else, don't want to ruin your reputation.
Actually the spec pan started off ok for a first race. We all expect to do much better next month. At least we expect to beat our legend stats. As for Rick racing this class, he is like me. He has so much spec stuff that it would be a waste not to run.
We had 22 legend entries on one date last winter, either Feb. or Mar., and we could have more than that this year. I have averaged at least one legend sale per race date this season, so there are several new local legend drivers more than there were last year.

I won't be able to make it, We have a race that day up here, even if I wasn't already racin' I most likely wouldn't be able to come as I am laid off and Marvin doesn't pay me well enough to travel to races.
Hopefully if Nick has the State Champs again this year I will be able to go to that one.

I would like to make it to a Mt. Pleasant race this year too, was planning on it till I got laid off, now we have to wait to see how quickly Marvin gets my checks to me and see how ends are meeting.

Due to the LPGA Golf Tournament being held in Kohler Wi. the same week as are the Roar Paved Oval Nats at the Mid-West Triclone in West Bend Wi.August 13th--14th--15th Hotels are filling up fast some are full already. I was able to block 20 rooms at the West Bend Inn which is a half mile from the race track just mention the Triclone and Roar Nats for the rates. No other hotels would block rooms but do have rooms available.

I had my battery tape come undone and go under the rear tire
I pulled it over and tried to fixe it but it just wasn't my day
I am just glad that there was only 4 of us so I wont drop back to much in points But that means Joel is gaining more points on me Maybe after I go to the birds I might learn how ot go a tenth or 2 faster a lap

That mistake of mine cost me alot of points on sat.you were the benefactor of it. Instead of winning the "B" main and getting 176 points max you got into the "a" and ended up winning and getting 197 thats a 21 point swing thanks to my stupidity.

The rest of the season will be very interesting.

Hey Casey You don't need to go all the way to Florida to find a tenth. All you have to do is come to Mt. Pleasant.
Here is a tip that will help in your search for a tenth. Use four strips of tape to hold them batteries in.

To keep pace with NASCAR (and to try to win viewers away from the Spelling Bee an ESPN), we will be changing our points system to this:

Do the NASCAR type "playoff thing" in the last 2 races, have to be in the
top 5 after 5 races to qualify.
3 bonus points for leading a lap in your main.
2 bonus points for TQ.
2 bonus points if you correctly guess which lap Keith and Greg will hit each other on (1st time only).
1 bonus point for every time George hits your car while on the track.
5 bonus points if he hits you while not on the track.
500 bonus points for anyone that beats Jamie Hanson.
1000 bonus points for anyone who brings a swimsuit model to the track.
(minus 500 if it's a male model, or one from the "plus sizes" catalog.)
2347.283 bonus points for anyone who correctly guesses what drug NASCAR used the most of to dream up THEIR new system.
