As you guys know we bring the PS2 along (and if room is avaiable on the table at nats) for those long times bettween races. On the nights (when you get tired of having adult beverages :drunk: ) you don't feel like going out. We've always had some type of Hockey tournement on PS2. We all throw in bit of cash and have a single Elimination tourment, Winner take all. No cheat codes or all world teams are allowed.

The last time we did this Howler and I went into double overtime and I won with a goal with about 5 seconds left.

Only prob is it usually goes into the wee hours of the morning

those long times bettween races
What, don't you ever work on your car? LoL :)

hock
04-10-2003, 10:19 AM
But it don't take 1.5 to 2 hours to adjust the car. ruff guess at 16 heatsx 6 Minutes (4 for racing and 2 til next start) comes out to 1.5 hours. otherwise we just place at the hotel.

I won't be in MP at all. I know that for sure now. If someone can get the magnet zapper to Jon, I will make sure it gets to Joel. I don't know if I will even be able to stop by or if I will be in town. :(

syphon, that would be great, it is at the track.
what time do the races get over in mt. pleasant. I was planning on racing but due to some unfortunate circumstances I don't think I will be making it in time to race.

I am sorry to say that Big Rob Mcmurphy's Mom had a bad episode on wednesday morning, he took her to the hospital and they said that a blood vessel in the back of her brain burst and that there was nothing they could do for her, I was down at cheboygan with Rob, Casey and Russell last night till 1 a.m., she was still holding on but they said when I left that she wouldn't last much longer, If anyone has any deals going with Casey he might not be online for a while as Rob and he are best friends and Rob's mom was like a second mom to casey and he isn't taking this real well. I haven't heard yet this morning if she made it through the night, all I can say is that she was resting peacefully last night while I was there and that she was in no pain, thank god for that.

Needless to say Casey most likely won't be going to Mt. Pleasant this weekend, I was going down with him that's why I won't be racing, I will be coming down with the wife later in the day as a friend of hers lives in Mt. Pleasant so I will stop by the track and see everyone.

I just have one questions, what is the name of the school and where is it?
I have been there once but that was over a year ago and I need a refresher on how to get there.
Thanks guys, Joel

So Mr. Rowley.... I hope that your reason for missing the last race day and also season trophy day is not an unfortunate one also.

I will have your Legend with me. Sure hope that I don't accidently sell it.

What would you like me to do with all of your season trophies after I receive them on your behalf???

Well the reason I won't be in MP is not a good one either. :( Chris's grandfather is at Bay Medical in Bay City, and very ill. Early signs pointed to heart problems, that was ruled out monday. Unfortunatly, its begining to look worse, possible cancer in the liver or lungs. Or both. Not good any way you look at it. I ask that you keep him in your prayers, I appreciate it.

I talked to Casey a couple times last night, from the sounds of it Rob is taking it like expected, sounds like he is doing better than I would if it were my mother. Casey is taking a little rough as well, those two are like brothers, and Casey always talked of Rob's mom being his second mother. I had just met Rob's mom in February, she is a very neat lady.

rowle1jt
04-17-2003, 09:58 AM
Just talked Casey, and I don't have good news. Rob's mom passed away peacefully this morning about 3AM. Casey tells me she was surrouned by her family and friends, and that she was in no pain. This all happened very quickly, Casey said she was at the hospital less than 24 hours.

Rob's at home now, and finally getting some much needed sleep. Casey is their with Rob now, and if anyone wants to talk to them I have a couple #'s to get in contact with them. E-mail or call me and I will get them to you ASAP. If I am in class, I will get back to you as quick as I can.
