kingpin 03-21-2003, 08:32 AM Got any Legends bodies painted? I need to get one for a guy in Lansing.
Also, Sam wants to run Outlaw Legends this week at M.P., if you're interested (or anybody else). Dougie might bring his too, but Rick said he wouldn't be there due to some other commitment.
I will have two new bodies painted with me tomorrow, also two ready to run legends.
I might stick a mod in one of my old legends for Outlaw, but that would mean four classes, and I have trouble with two. Still hoping to break into the 4 cell pan.
Any of you out of town guys, (or anyone else), want to meet at Shoneys early and stuff ourselves on their breakfast buffet. I know their coffee is good. Nothing like having a big belly at the track, You blend right in  If you are too embarrassed to say so, I will be there by 8:30, so just waddle in. If you don't know me, just look for the guy with white hair that the waitresses are flirting with. They all say that I look just like their Grand Paw
rowle1jt 03-21-2003, 11:17 AM If you don't know me, just look for the guy with white hair that the waitresses are flirting with. I think I will be giving your wife a call tonight, so if you don't show in the morning, we all know why....... :freak: Its becasue she didn't like you flirting with other women.....
Jamie Hanson 03-21-2003, 03:08 PM Mount P will be fun this time.. I can not wait to get my butt kicked in legends LoL. Take it ez on me.....
rowle1jt 03-21-2003, 04:33 PM Well Jamie, I think you are in for a trip, Kevin and myabe GEORGE might even school you in Legend.....
kingpin 03-21-2003, 04:56 PM Wait a minute, I thought it was Jim Hanson that was going to be the legend driver.. Let him know that I will have extra ones if he wants to borrow one.
t3rc1 03-22-2003, 01:27 PM TTT  Please :D
I was informed that as of thursday. The ROAR oval nats has over 100 enteries so far
t3rc1 03-23-2003, 12:34 AM I would love to just be there to see it  But unfortunately i cant get time off from work :( One of these days i WILL get to a big event.Biggest one yet is still the Cheeseland last year  Never in my life of RC have i been in the same place with sooooooooo many people all out to do the same thing,ENJOY SOME RACING .That was a great time and one i'll never forget.
t3rc1 03-23-2003, 12:50 AM Hey Chuck.Glad to hear you got the turbo working again. Now i'll know what to do if i ever have that unfortunate :drunk: accident.
chuck47 03-23-2003, 02:08 PM Oh don't worry Scott you will get your chance to replace the fuses a time will come when you were just to busy to look if you are hooking up right
t3rc1 03-23-2003, 05:22 PM Im sure it will :jest: Last time in the Soo,i soldered my pack in backwards :drunk: .Luckily i had my tekin p12 in the car and all it did was pop the solder fuse on the speedo.Gotta love them old tekins  .
rowle1jt 03-23-2003, 05:27 PM Gotta love them old tekins. No I don't. They are Tekin, that is reason enough for me not to like them. :D LoL
Ask George how much I like Tekin stuff.....
kingpin 03-23-2003, 07:52 PM Some people have no taste.
kingpin 03-23-2003, 08:02 PM With the high rate of attacks on women in secluded parking lots, especially during evening hours, the Minneapolis City Council has established a "Women Only" parking lot at the Mall of America.
Even the parking lot attendants are exclusively female so that a comfortable and safe environment is created for patrons. Below is the first picture available of this world-first women-only parking lot in Minnesota.
rowle1jt 03-23-2003, 09:17 PM Ouch!
Not gonna touch that one...... LoL
smitty 03-23-2003, 10:19 PM Jake as you know I have used Tekin products for years and have had very few problems and what needed repairing was done so and promptly returned. If they were still in business I would continue using their products today. After having used the LRP Quantum Competition for the first time Saturday I really could not tell a difference with the exception that it weighed less and was able to mount it differently. I am sure you have told me but what did Tekin do to you?? Are you going to Lansing Friday I got some more smack to lay down? Greg
rowle1jt 03-23-2003, 11:01 PM They never did anything to piss me off but screw customers over. A lot of people never got stuff back that they sent in when Tekin went under..... the second time. :( I guess there is nothing wrong with any of it. But is getting heavy compared to todays stuff, and I have heard of many people cooking Mi-MH batteries with tekin Chargers. :(
And then I get to give crap to you and George. :D
kingpin 03-23-2003, 11:10 PM See fifth post above...ditto
triclone-dave 03-23-2003, 11:21 PM This goes to Hock from page 133 it was 67 outside at the Triclone. Dave J and I started the day off with a drink break and watch part of the race :drunk: Then we got to work on the track for a little bit then took another drink break and watched the end of the race :drunk: I am glad we are not opening untill the 2nd week of May :jest:
t3rc1 03-24-2003, 12:17 AM Hey Jake  I was charging my 3000's with my BC112A Tekin till i got my turbo 35 and i never cooked a pack. You have to watch them for excessive heat but they charge just fine.If i had any other speedo in the car when i done what i done,it would have fried it right there.I will never get rid of my Tekin stuff. If weight is a big factor to you, just take the little bit of extra from the chassis. It 's not that much more in weight that the others.I have a V6 and an LRP ICS and i still like the tekins better  Guess i have some taste hey Kingpin.
kingpin 03-24-2003, 12:34 AM Yes Scott, you have taste, class and a bit of Jake's goat.
Is anyone other than me blowing the upper 20 amp fuse on their DIS350 when discharging a 3300 4 cell pack at 20 amps?
Where is Dynomohum when you need him?
Dave J and I started the day off with a drink break and watch part of the race :drunk: Then we got to work on the track for a little bit then took another drink break and watched the end of the race :drunk:
Dave- How crooked are those new walls going to be
rowle1jt 03-24-2003, 10:01 AM LoL........ I love messing with you guys.....
Scott, as you know, weight is a big issue to me..... LoL :D I just like to get a rise out of George, he does everything in the world to buzz me up at every chance he gets, and WHO is the first person he comes to when he wants to make sure something is worth what is being asked for it? LoL Yes George, you got an a GREAT deal on that L3O!
Tekin stuff is actually to good for me, I have been told that I wouldn't know what to do with such a quality product...... LoL I'm just joking, you guys need to settle down a bit. When is the last time I was serious? Probably about 300 posts back when Casey was upset.
Greg, it doesn't look like I will be in Lansing this week. My sisters babyshower is this weekend, and apparently I need to be here the night before and the day of for some reason.....Jamie has already been working on me to come down. Let me work my magic for a couple days....and you never know, I might be down there. :)
Howler 03-24-2003, 02:07 PM Dave, If you ever need any help with fixing up the Tri-Clone, Let me know. I'd be happy to head down there for a day and help out. Maybe even Hock can come down. LOL.
Chuck, looks like da U.P. is on the Roar Reg 5 logo. Check it out on Kenny B's postings.
Two more weeks of hard running at the W. Man, I really have the itch to Hit the TRI-CLONE again.
rowle1jt 03-24-2003, 07:04 PM www.euprc.com is updated. :D
triclone-dave 03-24-2003, 07:15 PM Thanks Howler but we almost have the new walls up and to many people at break time is no good we don't have enough to go around :drunk: :jest: :D
smitty 03-24-2003, 08:41 PM Jake, I'll bet they want you there for the games, pin the tail on Jake and like me that would give them a fairly large target but keep you back turned.
I will say that you two could fill some mighty big holes. hehehehehe! It would have to be that game cause we sure wouldn't want to see Big Jake hanging like a piņata would we. Wait maybe we do. I also wonder how big of a rope you would need. I'm thinking a rope like you would climb in gym class.
Jake you Da Man!
Kingpin Had fun racing with you. You would have whipped Jake had he run with us.
I see Casey is cackling over on the T2 thread. He did good though.
Hi to the rest of you and see ya Jake.
rowle1jt 03-24-2003, 09:29 PM I haven't been getting enough sleep lately to run 4-cell stock. I would have fallen asleep for sure! LoL Smitty, the Soo will race 19T while we are there, that or I'll sign for stock and run 19T. LoL
Mel, you would need a big rope, and you wouldn't be man enough to pull it on your own....you your little bus maybe..... :D
Rick Rad 03-24-2003, 09:49 PM KevinM,
Can you post the results from Saturday to see how everyone
did?
Rick Rad
rowle1jt 03-24-2003, 11:39 PM You know Joel, your lucky. Chris has had our tickets to the Pontiac Supercross for a few weeks now, and I kept thinking it was the 12th. I have been trying to figure out for the last week and a half how I was going to tell all you guys that I wasn't going to be at the Trophy race.
Well I was on supercross.com today and looked at the schedule....and the Pontiac SX is on the 5th......... :) :D
Promatchracer 03-24-2003, 11:46 PM Hey Mel I am sorry I forget to mention it on here That I BEAT YOU FOR A RACE AND TQ'D 4 CELL STOCK
You also said I was faster than you in the main you just stayed away from Kingpin more than I did
I will take care of both of you in the Soo
t3rc1 03-25-2003, 12:04 AM Eventually Casey,That hot motor you have is going to take a crap and then you will have to take some crap yourself   All i can say is Casey found a hot motor and he found it just in time
Promatchracer 03-25-2003, 12:10 AM Hey Scott my last motor did take a little dump that is why I have a new in there LOL
I wil be dyning motors and tuning them left and right to make sure I win on Saturday I will also be practicing Saturday morning with different tires to try and get that extra edge
Later
rowle1jt 03-25-2003, 12:47 AM I will also be practicing Saturday morning
Practicing what? See how much smack you can talk in 15 seconds? It doesn't matter, The Great Mouth of the North (Rob) will always beat you! You start messing your car and your gonna forget what tires you had on it, and then your car will suck. Unless you use a Leading Edge Setup Sheet to record your current setup.
What am I thinking, I'm trying rationalize with you when you say your gonna practice. rrrrrrrrrrrrrrright............. :)
rowle1jt 03-25-2003, 12:49 AM get that extra edge The Leading Edge!
Promatchracer 03-25-2003, 01:05 AM That EDGE helps a lot Jake
just look at my racing the beginning of the year and look at it now
There is a reason it is called the Leading Edge
Thought it was time to move up to a T-2 chassis. Should have it this week. With only two weeks of carpet left (including tomorrow night) it's time to get use to one before the outdoor season starts.
kingpin 03-25-2003, 08:47 AM Geeees Casey. If anyone ever calls you humble, they will probably also think that Rob is a Quiet guy.
kingpin 03-25-2003, 08:56 AM KevinM,
Can you post the results from Saturday to see how everyone
did?
Rick Rad
HI Rick. Looks like it will take 58 to get in the A now in Legends. Before the 1600's you could make it with 54. I ran my personal best and just made the A. Now with Jamie, Doug and the fast guy from Jackson, us old fogies will be fighting for the B. :(
Or even worse if Robbie, Laura and Larry come up from Lansing.
My business is going up, but my racing is going down. Its a good thing that Legends are "just a fun racing class", or I would be gloomy
Howler 03-25-2003, 10:31 AM Dang Casey, ever hear of jerkin' with the karma. That kind of smack will come around to bite you in the arse when you least expect it, lol.
rowle1jt 03-25-2003, 10:35 AM That EDGE helps a lot JakeI know it just as well as you do! :)
I'd like to Thank Dave W. from Leading Edge, Mel Letts of "Letts Go racing" and RLK Hason for all their help this year. I can't complain about Casey either, he has even been helpful! And to Smitty as well, he's a good racing partner......except he is starting to get sore at me because I can beat him everynow and then..... :D LoL
Honestly, the car is great, my driving has improved vastly these last 5 months, and I couldn't have done it with out the help of all my friends. :)
chuck47 03-25-2003, 07:30 PM I'll check it out Howler if it's not changed in the next issue I'll have to get hold of the map maker for Roar hey. I'll be ready to race tomorrow night see you then
smitty 03-25-2003, 07:45 PM Jake, I am not mad rather glad you are doing better as it makes me push myself more. Now all we have to do is set our sights on Mel.
I think Jake is liking this speed thing. He hasn't been very timid about sticking his nose in that corner latley.
Casey is talking the smack now. I am really going to push the two minute rule at the Soo in April. That way we won't have to worry about Casey cause he won't make the start of the race.
rowle1jt 03-25-2003, 11:43 PM Yeah, I am liking the speed....and I owe it all to you guys for helping me "locate" it..... LoL
I agree on the 2 minute rule for the Soo, heck lets make it a minute or 30 seconds, all of us are ready on time..... LoL
Smitty and Mel, you might being seeing a little more of my nose in the corner, Friday night in Lansing is looking better and better........ I think it might work out.... :)
Roadsplat, you still interested in carpooling?.... :D
Roadsplat 03-26-2003, 12:18 AM Roadsplat, you still interested in carpooling?.... :D
Jake, Right now I am still planning on going. Carpooling would be great.
RC
rowle1jt 03-26-2003, 10:13 AM RC, I will try and get back you later on today. I have class from 10-12 and I will get in touch with you after that..... :D
