It would be a good warm-up for next weeks Mt. Pleasant race, since the track size is similar. Mel? Vince? Anybody???? chuck47 02-09-2003, 05:16 PM Yes I would be interested Casey I'll have my spare car just in case. Do you have a speed controller I could use I sent out my second one and I don't know if it will be back in time?:( RayMusser 02-09-2003, 05:44 PM What is the Date of the Mt. Pleasent race? I have been out of the loop sorry! Mel are you running 4 cell stock 19 turn? thanks Ray kingpin 02-09-2003, 06:15 PM Ray. Mt. Pleasant races this coming Saturday. Feb. 15 Hope to see you there. Jamie Hanson 02-09-2003, 08:38 PM Ray, Where ya been buddy.....I thought you wanted to get back into this stuff? But, the answer to your question is Mount P is THIS Saturday. 4 cell 19turn will more than likely be the class of choice.. There was a 4 cell stocck class last time as well.. I don;t remember if there was 5 cell stock or not. Promatchracer 02-09-2003, 08:42 PM Jamie when you going to come up here and race Or are u scared to race me LOL rowle1jt 02-09-2003, 08:43 PM Originally posted by Jamie Hanson I don;t remember if there was 5 cell stock or not. LoL You said you always post when you get home from the bar........ I guess this is only proof. :D rowle1jt 02-09-2003, 08:45 PM Originally posted by Promatchracer u scared to race me LOL None of us are too scared....... Jamie Hanson 02-09-2003, 08:48 PM Hey now, that posting had no alcohol influence what so ever. It is only 7:30 at night :-). And Casey, I want to come up but every week it has been Mount P or Lansing lately. When I do come I want to bring everyone with me. All the boys from down this way. Promatchracer 02-09-2003, 08:52 PM well all of march is no conflict so everybody come up you all know how fun it is so what you think Maybe you might even get Jake to come with you I know Mel will If not let me know and I will make him come with you Casey RayMusser 02-09-2003, 10:06 PM Jamie, I will have to put my new batteries together for Mount pleasent Saturday! Wow its been what 2-3 years since I drove anything! I am gonna SUCK. might be fun! Now what motor and brushes do I need to go and buy? Also you guys running wings on those 19 turn 4 cell cars, or just spoilers? Let me know. Anyones help is appreciated! Also what tires do I need for Mount Pleasant? Thanks Racing Ray Musser rowle1jt 02-09-2003, 10:37 PM Originally posted by Promatchracer Maybe you might even get Jake to come with you. Kingpin and I are planning on coming up for the Trophy Race. Maybe all of us "trolls" can run 19T and let you yoopers play in stock? LoL Just kidding with you, I know Joel can beat me. :D George even ran pan car this weekend! Between Kevin and I we got it going pretty good. OK mostly Kevin, but he made the comment "if pan cars are supposed to be this easy to drive, then I would do it more often." A little bit more adjustability in the pod would have been an advantage too. :) kevinm 02-09-2003, 10:50 PM Ray - A definite YES to wings. Most guys are using white dot rear tires (or possibly aqua on the right side), with either a purple or black dot on the right front. Left front could be practically anything, depending on who you ask. Track opens at 10:00, racing starts at 12:00. The track is also available for practice friday night from around 6:30 to 9:00. 4-cell 19-turn usually has the most entries, followed by 6-cell stock and 4-cell stock. You don't need a table or chair, but bring a towel to put down on the table, since the Rotten Little Kids eat off of them during the week. kingpin 02-09-2003, 11:34 PM Kevin. I have a feeling that I may have failed to thank you for your help yesterday. I certainly appreciate the time that you took to make the repair to my car. I like to tease people that I have been learning from you for more than 10 years, but my skills don't do much for your credibility as a teacher. Oh yes, there was another person there who contributed to my exemplary first attempt at pans. Thanks to Jake for the 3300 pack and the P2K2. Jake kept me from having to use one of my "special" STOCK motors. I won't tell anyone what chassis I was using, because it was so old and in such a state of disrepair, that anyone who did not beat me by many laps, would be ashamed. Let's put it this way, If it were a claiming race for $25, I would have gone home happy. By the way, how much does a 19 turn cost, and how long will four GOOD cells last? I wonder how much I could get for my Sprinter?? Hmmmm, now how do you do a search on ebay??........:p t3rc1 02-10-2003, 01:00 AM Got a question for ya all. What can i use as a sub for diff lube?I cant get any at our LHS and i am out and in dire need of something before the Soo this weekend. What would you suggest?I thought of vaseline but im not sure if it would work. Scott(t3rc1) Promatchracer 02-10-2003, 09:54 AM Scott I think I gave some to Jake last time so get a hold of him If not just wait till you see me than I will take care of you I have a huge container that I bought from Hock just bring a small jar to out some in Casey rowle1jt 02-10-2003, 10:14 AM Originally posted by Promatchracer Scott I think I gave some to Jake last time so get a hold of him You didn't give any to me last time I was there??? I have been using the real think Buds fluid for a year and a half now. I think that one bottle will last me 2+ years, and I rebuild A LOT of diffs in all my various cars. Buds #7460 (http://www.brpracing.com/brp_lube.html) Howler 02-10-2003, 10:32 AM Valvoline Bearing packing grease works to some extent. Get the red stuff. kingpin 02-10-2003, 11:59 AM Lubriplate and lighter fluid works real smooth and slick. But you have to have a lot of balls so that you can replace them every race.:p   t3rc1 02-10-2003, 02:21 PM Hey big Jake.Casey is talking about little Jake from Esky.Casey,i forgot that Jake had that so i'll hook up with him and see what he has.If not,i'll buy some from U when we get there.Thanx for the replies guys:D Scott(t3rc1) kevinm 02-10-2003, 08:10 PM GEORGE - The REAL reason you aren't telling what kind of pan car you were running is the NONE OF US CAN IDENTIFY IT!!! :D rowle1jt 02-11-2003, 02:44 PM Yeah, I'm with Kevin. I'm glad you had fun George. :) Jake DynoMoHum 02-11-2003, 03:05 PM George... $35 to $40 for a motor... same for batteries... Or you could buy unmatched GP 3300 batterys from the battery station for $4.75 a peice... Some indications that these cells are making pretty nice packs for like $20... can't beat the price... I've gone Greens on the left side... gray right front, White right rear... I think if you ask about tires, each person will tell you something differnt... Seems it depends on many variables, and there is no one perfect setup... ($35 to $40 for a set of tires too). RayMusser 02-11-2003, 10:37 PM Jamie, I am planning on making my Comeback tour At Mt. PLeasent Saturday BUT I CANT FIND A MOTOR. I dont know how I will get one before saturday. Robbys has nothing! Do you have anything? I lost Mels Email again. Maybe he has one I can buy or rent. Or maybe he can buy me one and pay him sat. DO you have anything for me? Also do I need to paint my bumper orange? I am a 4 cell 19 turn ROOKIE! GREG OR MEL EMAIL ME! thanks Ray P.S. The tires with the gray stripe on them were the GOOD ONES right? Also is the 95 Lumina still the way to go with the body? And is red Positve and black negative? kingpin 02-11-2003, 10:54 PM Ray, this thread is already full of comedians....We were hoping to get one more serious racer:lol: rowle1jt 02-11-2003, 10:58 PM I'm a serious guy. Case in point: Today at work I had a lady call and ask why her computer wasn't working, I didn't even laugh when she told me it was unplugged. :p mel 02-11-2003, 11:30 PM Ray Maybe you need to start in the Legend Class and work your way up to the fast class. When you can beat George then you move up. Hey Jake we got some new old meat coming back. If Ray comes back then we will slack off of you some and give it to Ray. Sorry but Ray can't take the smack as good as you can.  rowle1jt 02-11-2003, 11:41 PM Originally posted by mel Hey Jake we got some new old meat coming back. Sorry but Ray can't take the smack as good as you can.  I'd say that I just let it roll off my shoulders, but I can't. I don't think you can get smack high enough to reach my shoulders, unless you get help from someone taller. :D LoL Jamie Hanson 02-11-2003, 11:47 PM Originally posted by rowle1jt I'd say that I just let it roll off my shoulders, but I can't. I don't think you can get smack high enough to reach my shoulders, unless you get help from someone taller. :D LoL Hey Mel, I will be more than happy to be that tall someone. You use to beat me up when I was a wee-little boy at USA raceways, now I have your back. rowle1jt 02-12-2003, 12:21 AM Great! Now RLK Hanson is ganging up on me too! LoL See, I don't qualify for RLK status, I've never beaten Kevin in a race,(that he finished, so last friday doesn't count!). :) 1Metric Ton 02-12-2003, 12:24 AM Laughing for Jake  Jake turn on Yahooooooooooooooo! rowle1jt 02-12-2003, 09:28 AM So Jamie, you want my sprinter for this weekend? Its ready to go w/ radio and all, all you need to do is charge the battery. :) LMK If you really want to make George happy, go ahead and run Legend too. :D rowle1jt 02-12-2003, 10:42 AM <--- Look, 2000 posts. :D onefastdude 02-12-2003, 10:44 AM It's been 2000 for quite some time now!!!!!! mel 02-12-2003, 10:56 AM Hey George How much you rent them Legends for? I might be interested in an extra grin. You don't mind if I wrench on it do you? Howler 02-12-2003, 11:24 AM Not going to make it to the SOO:rolleyes: hock 02-12-2003, 11:26 AM ARE YOU GOING TO GOPHER LAND TO PLAY WITH YOUR SNUGGLY PIE:p   kingpin 02-12-2003, 11:36 AM Mel, I am never afraid to loan a legend to another old codger. I will have an extra one ready for Saturday. Do you want it legal or are you planning to do something foolish like Dougie? DynoMoHum 02-12-2003, 11:43 AM I know were I can get a Legend car in the box for $50... anyone in need of a Legend? kingpin 02-12-2003, 01:31 PM I am always ready for another legend. I have built 3 in the past two months, planning to have a new one to replace my old one, but every time I get one built, someone makes me an offer I can't refuse. I took an extra one to Lansing last week to use as a back up, but I got an offer on it before the racing started. But if it weren't for buying, trading, swapping, selling, cleaning, building, tuning, racing, repairing and painting legends, I wouldn't have anything to do. (Sure hope my wife doesn't see this) Howler 02-12-2003, 01:50 PM Nope:devil:   1Metric Ton 02-12-2003, 02:14 PM 2000 posts.....someone needs a harder "working" job type hehehe <-----is just jealous as sin  rowle1jt 02-12-2003, 02:38 PM Russ, get on yahoo. rowle1jt 02-12-2003, 03:09 PM Well the SMC3300 thread went south quick. If you want to read the interesting stuff, look at these last two pages. (http://www.hobbytalk.com/bbs1/showthread.php?s=&threadid=43783&perpage=20&pagenumber=6) Kinda reminded me of a Soap Opera that Chris watches. LoL Make sure to have an umbrella, there is a lot of mud slinging going on. LoL On to the more serious stuff now: So a horse walks into a bar and sits down, the bartender looks at him and says, "Why the long face?"..... :D 1Metric Ton 02-12-2003, 03:35 PM WoW!! That was funny to read. I needed that laugh hehehe  THanks Jake. t3rc1 02-12-2003, 07:21 PM 200 DOLLARS TO RUN A PACK? I just read the thread Jake put up for us to read and i am amazed.Someone has been sniffing my paragon again:roll: Scott(t3rc1) Promatchracer 02-12-2003, 07:37 PM He Scott I will let you run soem of my Extreme Spec packs that have the High 1.15's on them for $100 If your nice to me I might let you run them for 2 qaulifiers LOL I have your 2 packs set aside for you I also have more Code reds in stock too but they are going real fast Almost all of them are over 60 watts and Mine is a lot more than that HE HE chuck47 02-12-2003, 07:42 PM Howler to bad you can't make it saturday I'm sure it'll be fun:roll: vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2012, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
