There was a 4 cell stocck class last time as well.. I don;t remember if there was 5 cell stock or not.

George even ran pan car this weekend! Between Kevin and I we got it going pretty good. OK mostly Kevin, but he made the comment "if pan cars are supposed to be this easy to drive, then I would do it more often." A little bit more adjustability in the pod would have been an advantage too. :)

Ray - A definite YES to wings. Most guys are using white dot rear tires (or possibly aqua on the right side), with either a purple or black dot on the right front. Left front could be practically anything, depending on who you ask. :confused:
Track opens at 10:00, racing starts at 12:00. The track is also available for practice friday night from around 6:30 to 9:00. 4-cell 19-turn usually has the most entries, followed by 6-cell stock and 4-cell stock. You don't need a table or chair, but bring a towel to put down on the table, since the Rotten Little Kids eat off of them during the week.

Kevin. I have a feeling that I may have failed to thank you for your help yesterday. I certainly appreciate the time that you took to make the repair to my car. I like to tease people that I have been learning from you for more than 10 years, but my skills don't do much for your credibility as a teacher.

Oh yes, there was another person there who contributed to my exemplary first attempt at pans. Thanks to Jake for the 3300 pack and the P2K2. Jake kept me from having to use one of my "special" STOCK motors.

I won't tell anyone what chassis I was using, because it was so old and in such a state of disrepair, that anyone who did not beat me by many laps, would be ashamed. Let's put it this way, If it were a claiming race for $25, I would have gone home happy.

By the way, how much does a 19 turn cost, and how long will four GOOD cells last? I wonder how much I could get for my Sprinter?? Hmmmm, now how do you do a search on ebay??........:p

Got a question for ya all.What can i use as a sub for diff lube?I cant get any at our LHS and i am out and in dire need of something before the Soo this weekend.What would you suggest?I thought of vaseline but im not sure if it would work.

Valvoline Bearing packing grease works to some extent. Get the red stuff.

Lubriplate and lighter fluid works real smooth and slick. But you have to have a lot of balls so that you can replace them every race.:p

Or you could buy unmatched GP 3300 batterys from the battery station for $4.75 a peice... Some indications that these cells are making pretty nice packs for like $20... can't beat the price...

I've gone Greens on the left side... gray right front, White right rear...

I think if you ask about tires, each person will tell you something differnt... Seems it depends on many variables, and there is no one perfect setup... ($35 to $40 for a set of tires too).

I am always ready for another legend. I have built 3 in the past two months, planning to have a new one to replace my old one, but every time I get one built, someone makes me an offer I can't refuse. I took an extra one to Lansing last week to use as a back up, but I got an offer on it before the racing started. But if it weren't for buying, trading, swapping, selling, cleaning, building, tuning, racing, repairing and painting legends, I wouldn't have anything to do. (Sure hope my wife doesn't see this):eek:
