kingpin 01-31-2003, 11:28 AM I think that if you are going to post a whole song, that you should have to add something to your user id.
Either your AARP membership number or the cell number to your booby hatch.

NAW I'm just bored. Not old enough for aarp #. Just like the beetles
kingpin 01-31-2003, 11:47 AM I would post some 40's tunes, but the deer are waiting for food, and the workshop has two projects waiting: Cabinet for my dear wife and a lot of car stuff to pack for the swap meet in Flint.
This is the view from my computer out the kitchen window.
Jake this is with 3x optical zoom, about 100 feet away. The Canon is likely to go back. Still get dark snapshots.
Waitng for the deer thaqt are standing guard to pull out machine guns.
Sorry, I said I was bored
Howler 01-31-2003, 01:53 PM Dang, a whole herd of CWD. Yummy. If it doesn't have CWD, I'm not gonna eat it, lol. :p Hock, I could always break out the BUSHMASTER and the AR-10M4. Never put a tracer into a deer before. You think it would cook it? lol
rowle1jt 01-31-2003, 02:35 PM 3 seconds in photoshop and its a keepable camera. :) I don't think it is too bad of a camera, I think your hard on it. :D LoL
This is my version of your picture:
chuck47 01-31-2003, 02:36 PM Well Hock if when it snows you get bored your in the right place here it snows many days in a row which tells me it's racing season which is good for me:lol: Jake I'm trying to get it to you but no luck yet hey:( It must be those pesky motel owners hanging on to the white gold for as long as they can:devil:
chuck47 01-31-2003, 02:38 PM Kingpin I take it your more than 1/4 mile of the roadway to have a backyard like that:lol:
Hey Kingpin I live near Flint. Where and when is the swap meet? Also what time?
Jake What is a good cheap digital camera?
Hi All to the rest of you! Getting ready to race in Lansing later today.
NTwigs 01-31-2003, 03:29 PM Hey Mel, I think I have flyers on it at the track.
kingpin 01-31-2003, 04:04 PM Mel
I am sending you an email with the flyer in it.
It is the Flying Aces Swap Meet
Sunday Feb. 2 9:00AM til 2:00PM
Carman Ainsworth Jr High School
1409 W. Maple 1.4 miles s. of Bristol
They told me to come down Van Slyke from Bristol. Van Slyke is supposed to be 1 mile west of I-75. It is 1 mile down to Maple, but the parking lot is off Van Slyke, just south of the school.
I understand that it is mostly planes, but there will be car people there.
It will be a Car meet now, Because Kingpin's Used Car Lot will be OPEN for business. Monkey or otherwise.:D
kingpin 01-31-2003, 04:17 PM Chuck 47
You are right, that feeder in the pic is at the end of a 1/4 mile long driveway. Our house faces the river, where we are surrounded by woods. That pic was taken yesterday afternoon out the back window. Today there is a couple of more inches of snow on the ground. You live near Ontonagon, so I am sure you see plenty of meat on the hoof. Maybe your snow is too deep to see their heads.
Now that we finally have a little snow, they are yarding up and eating me out of house and home. There were at least three buttons in the group, so we will have at least a couple of spikes next season.
George
kingpin 01-31-2003, 04:26 PM Mel, My email address for you must be old, because it bounced. Email me at kingpin@ejourney.com if you want me to resend it.
kingpin 02-01-2003, 09:54 PM For Mel or whomever might need it, here is a map showing the location of the Jr. High School in Flint where the Flying Aces swap meet will be held tomorrow, Feb. 2 from 9am til 2pm.

t3rc1 02-04-2003, 03:47 PM Got a question for ya all. What kind of batteries are you all using for 4 cell? The GP 3300'S or the HV3000?I am thinking about new batts and i am looking for input from you all cause i trust your opinions;)
Scott(t3rc1)
Oh great! Thanks for opening that wound again.
Jake is going to tell you GP-3300's
I'm going to say sanyo 3000HV.
IMHO I like the thesanyo 3000's because I thought they had more punch.
I also got back the two laps I lost with the gp's. I believe Howler with agree with me. But it's up to you to decide.
:hat:
rowle1jt 02-04-2003, 03:54 PM I use GP's, I know Casey does and I know the Mel has been using them regularly as well. So does Jamie and many others. Hock on the other hand will give you a different opinion. :)
HV's are still good cells, there is no doubt about that, but if your gonna buy new batts, why not get NEW ones instead of last years model? The HV's would probably still be more expensive [read:overpriced] than the GP's are, the HV's are still expensive even today.
Jake

I can agree to dis-agree. :)
Jamie Hanson 02-04-2003, 03:55 PM And just to confuse you even more I am going to say sanyo 3300s.
t3rc1 02-04-2003, 03:57 PM So sorry about pulling the scab off that wound:D The reason i ask is i was pricing some packs and the 3300 seems to be cheaper with better numbers(for all that matters).I just got a used 3000 from WIGMAN and i liked the way it worked but i hate to spend the money when i can get packs for cheaper according to the sites i visited.I didnt notice what Casey and Joel were running but they were fast and seemed to have pretty consistent power thru out the race.Thanx for the opinion hock and i will be awaiting others also please.
Scott
rowle1jt 02-04-2003, 03:58 PM Originally posted by Jamie Hanson And just to confuse you even more I am going to say sanyo 3300s. Yeah but you smoke crack. :dude: You probably like Tekin stuff too.... LoL I'm waiting for the day that you explode a cell, not vent or smoke, but explode! LoL You racing anywhere this weekend Jamie?
The Tekin thing is a joke between kingpin and I. :)
rowle1jt 02-04-2003, 04:00 PM Scott, I know Casey runs GP's, and I think Joel is as well. Did you get a new charger? To take care of GP's or HV's you need a pretty good charger. Of course if you bought a Dyno then you probably have a new Turbo35 Stealth right? LoL
Jake
t3rc1 02-04-2003, 04:02 PM HEY DONT BLAST TEKIN,I STILL USE A P12 SPEEDO AND A 112A CHARGER  I was going tp ask about the sanyo cells cause i saw them also on the web.Thanx guys
Scott:thumbsup:
t3rc1 02-04-2003, 04:05 PM I charged the 3000 i got from joel on my tekin cause it has the H27 software which is supposed to do nimh.I am looking for a decent charger but i dont need a turbo thirty for god sake:eek: I spent tooooooo much already. My integy doesnt do nimh but i can get it updated i guess for a price.I like the one Joel was using,It was a reedy quasar if im not mistaken.
rowle1jt 02-04-2003, 04:07 PM Don't talk to Jamie about this, he has a skewed view on batteries, and he runs Tekin stuff! LoL
Bluntly put:
Sanyo3300HV = Junk Some swear by them, most swear at them. As always, your mileage my vary.
Okay everyone, I posted the truth, flame away! LoL Honestly, I personally would stay away from from the 3300HV's. I have run them once, felt like they went a little soft in the last 30 seconds of a 4 minute 4-cell stock heat.
Just giving my opinion, and having some fun. Hope everyone knows I'm playing around.....
i know nothing about sanyo 3300's:cool:
rowle1jt 02-04-2003, 04:11 PM Yeah the Quasar is a nice charger. Used Turbo30's have dropped in price lately, and will do so again in about another month when people are buying the new Turbo35 GFX.
The Tekin should be fine, just monitor pack temps with your hand to make sure they don't get real hot. George uses a "T" charger with Ni-MH's. :) LoL Scott, when you gonna make it down to MP again?
rowle1jt 02-04-2003, 04:13 PM The only link Scott needs to buy batteries. (http://www.promatchracing.com/gp3300.htm)
Figure out what you want, and them get them from Casey, make sure he gives you a Yooper discount. I asked for the Troll discount and had 20% added to the price of my packs. LoL :)
t3rc1 02-04-2003, 04:16 PM Heres another one,any of you ever run one of Casey's PRO-MATCH code red stock motors?I just got one from him and it shows pretty decent on my dyno but i never ran it on the track.Get this..I got 3rd in the a main at the Soo using an ESP motor that i got from HOWLER when they came to Bark River two years ago.Only thing i done to it was cut the comm and change brushes.....113 on the watts and with a better driver could have won.Guess im asking all these questions cause i got the day off and im bored so why not fill my head with knowledge hey:lol:
Scott
t3rc1 02-04-2003, 04:20 PM Thanx for the link Jake.We are talking about comming there and traverse before the end but i guess the next big one we will be at is the cheeseland. We will make it down there before the end though.
Scott
rowle1jt 02-04-2003, 04:22 PM Yeah, I have a PMR Code Red. 64 watts (3.2 spool up) out of the box on the Fantom, 3 runs later it was 62 (4+ spool up), skimmed the comm, de-glazed and inspected the brushes (were still good) and it is about 61 or 62. Good yes, but not as good as when it came out of the box.
Will probably play with it some more in the next couple of weeks. Seems all the people that run them have a about 4 different opinions how to make them go fast, and 3 different opinions on gearing. I know Hock was pretty succesful with one, what did you roll out at Hock?
I have a LRP charger that works awesome. Next I'm buying a Quasar pro next for my second charger.
rowle1jt 02-04-2003, 04:44 PM You have a pulsar hock? I have heard VERY good things about that too..... :)
I'm just used to my Turbo30, and having it do everything but drive my car. If it drove my car, I might win more often than I do now! LoL
Jake
Yup, I like to call it a poor mans turbo 30. :D It runs motors and charges, also discharges but at 10 amps (I think). So For my second charger I'm going to buy a quasar pro for charging second pack and discharging:dude:
