Not sure why? Maybe it's those rims hehehe. Anyways thanks for the help and i will try out that gear ratio thingie...Ohh yea is that for a XXX-S? Hey Jake you going to sell me 1 of those bad dog cyclones? hehehe Talk to you laters Everyone. VROOOOMMMMMMMMMMM! kingpin 12-31-2002, 09:41 AM I take it back Mr. Hank. We do need spell check. Russ: There are 13 m's in vroooommmmmmmmmmmmm! Not 11. :p rowle1jt 12-31-2002, 12:31 PM George, Nice of you to drop in and say hi to all your old racing buddies. It's nice to know that your not too good for us anymore! :D LoL George you gonna make it to the Lansing Snowbirds warmup race with me? I think it is on a satruday, the 17h maybe? Let me know, it will be a good race and I want the oval practice, when you race with people who are faster than you, you get faster. :) Jake rowle1jt 12-31-2002, 12:33 PM Just looked at dates, friday night the 17th there is a club race and saturday the 18th is the "warmup race", doors open at 9am on saturday, right now I am thinking we will just hit the satruday race. LMK  Jake kingpin 12-31-2002, 02:02 PM Hey!! Will they be racing legends at a warmup for the bigtime?? I have a pancar, but that does not seem like a good time to have a novice on the track. All that being said, I would like to go at least once in January. Now for your euphemism (I can hear Russ running for the dictionary), about getting better when you race faster people. I have been racing Kevin for 15 years, and guess what, one week I am close the next I am in the tank. Promatchracer 12-31-2002, 03:24 PM Hey Guys whats UP Anybody ever going to come and race with us up here in teh great white (Ok the great brown)North I dare any body to come and try to beat me in any class I run If you do I will pay the winner of the races entrance fee Frank Ulbrik 12-31-2002, 03:37 PM So,..... What classes do you guys run?:D NTwigs 12-31-2002, 03:51 PM At the Snowbirds warm-up, we'll be running our normal classes: Stock Truck, 19T Truck, Legends, 4C Stock, 4C 19T pan, 4C Modified Pan, 6C Stock. If we get 3 entries we'll run any other class. metrodog 12-31-2002, 03:57 PM Promatcher one of my trips up there I may take you up on that! I live in fl but from the midwest. It will have to be a warm weather trip though. What you guy stick your cars in the microwave on defrost before you run them. LOL Great to see oval racing alive and well in the midwest! Let me know ok dude. Hey Jake....I need some help with touring car, i need a blocker hehehe Joel is running touring. Get yur butt up here and make my motors go faster lol. Laters everyone. Vroooooooooommmmmmmmmmmmm Promatchracer 01-01-2003, 11:50 AM Russ I have 1 3PJS radio left I have traded off all the others but could haev one like Robs and Jakes on it way if you need one The 3 PJS has all the bells and whistles Just shoot me an E-mail and well talk or Call me As for the Diff rebuild I will get some with my next order Everything was messed up becasue of the Holidays for shipping Promatchracer 01-01-2003, 11:53 AM Happy New Year everybody May this year bring you more A-mains than before From the Promatch Family and The Brake Family chuck47 01-01-2003, 03:04 PM Happy New Year and good luck to all you racers out there both here and on the track that we all love so much!!!!!!!  Promatchracer 01-01-2003, 03:14 PM Originally posted by Frank Ulbrik So,..... What classes do you guys run?:D Hey Frank I might have some real good # packs for you if you are interested Up here in the Soo we run Stock everything 4 cell pan TC truck and Emaxx We also run Novice but I think you might not qualify for that We will run anything else aslong as there are 3 PPL to run it We preffer 4 because of marshalling but will do 3 LMK if you are thinking about coming up anytime soon Also are you going to the Nats in April I have special stuff coming for that race Talk to you later Casey rowle1jt 01-02-2003, 11:39 AM Man, it sucks being back at work, except that now I have read all sections of the boards here.....and it ain't 11AM yet. Gonna be a long day....... Jake rowle1jt 01-02-2003, 12:35 PM Apparently Hock doesn't want to talk to me.... :( And I haven't seen Howler in here all day??? LoL :D Jake hock 01-02-2003, 12:49 PM been on the gp-cells not legal thread  Perry Must be up nort rowle1jt 01-02-2003, 12:54 PM Yeah, I jumped in there too, I noticed that this time you and I are on the same side, unlike last time. :D The difference is that I LOVE my GP's and you hated yours? I dunno whats up, my car is fast FAST FAST with them, now if I could buy some "driver" in a can, I would be all set! LoL Jake hock 01-02-2003, 12:59 PM Perry also ran some and wasn't impressed. They weren't mine. Just felt flat even for 4-cell. That not why I think they should or not be legal rowle1jt 01-02-2003, 01:15 PM I think some feel that becasue they are good, or that they are cheap they should be legal, I don't think thats the case. ROAR has let other cells slip by, since they aproved the Sanyo, if they don't approve the GP I think it will hurt them. They are almost being forced into approving them. Why aren't batteries submitted for approval, once approved start selling them? I have always wondered that. Later Jake hock 01-02-2003, 01:16 PM To busy getting the jump on competitor rowle1jt 01-02-2003, 01:18 PM Unfortantly, (sp?) I think there is more truth to that then we know...... kingpin 01-02-2003, 03:08 PM Hi Jake. You wouldn't happen to have an older 4 or 6 cell pack of decent batt's that I could borrow at next MP do you? Kevin and Rick want to run an outlaw legend class, and I think that I will just put one of my good stock motors and a better battery in it. My best batt's are three year old 2,000's. Every time that I go nuts with a set up for the "mod legend" race, I do less laps than with my stock legend. I think that I will keep it simple this time: bearings, hot motor, good batt and a nice wing. Oh, and a great bumper, fore and aft, (maybe a wrap around). I just got in two more legends and a bunch of parts, so going nuts is not the problem, the number of laps is.:D George Have you been keeping up with this thread? Some good stuff. http://www.hobbytalk.com/bbs1/showthread.php?threadid=37859&perpage=20&pagenumber=1 rowle1jt 01-02-2003, 03:48 PM Yeah, I'm keeping up with the thread. I'll let you borrow a battery pack if I can borrow a legend to run in that class. I'll hook you up with a real good battery, I'll hook you up with a battery even if you won't let me borrow a Legend, I'm that nice of a guy. :D Is my sprinter legal to run in the Outlaw Legend class? I'll put a different body on it and say that I "stretched" the chassis. That sounds like a better idea than borrowing a legend. Tell me Kevin, will you allow it??? :) Later Jake kingpin 01-02-2003, 06:04 PM Hey. If you get to run a Sprinter with a Legend body, I am going to run a Legend with a Sprinter body!!! I will check my fleet, and let you use the worst one that I can find. I guess we better get Kevin to post some rules. "RULES?? WE DON'T NEED NO STINKING RULES". Sorry, couldn't help myself. Always before, the car chassis and body had to be a Legend at some time in the past. I am painting today. If they turn out good I will post a pic. kevinm 01-02-2003, 07:58 PM Is it an oxymoron to talk about outlaw rules? Well, here we go anyway. Basically, what we've done in the past is pretty much what George said. It has to be a Legends body, and have a fair amount of Legends parts in the chassis. Choose either 4-cell mod or 6-cell stock (6-cell mod was tried once. It wasn't pretty.) Pretty much anything else goes. My car has a floating rear pod with 2 shocks, sort of a cross between a Trinity pan car and the old Bolink pan cars. Rick's car looks like the result of a high speed crash between a legends and an old 10L, with a T-bar and pan chassis grafted onto the Legends chassis. Do any of these work better than a standard Legends? The jury is still out..... Jake - I don't think you can fit a Legends body on a sprinter due to the wheelbase difference. Unless you want to reeeealy hack up the body. rowle1jt 01-02-2003, 08:01 PM Oh well, I guess I will just run what ever George can find for me, thanks George, I appreciate it! :) Jake Promatchracer 01-02-2003, 08:59 PM Jake you get my e-mail I need to know ASAP rowle1jt 01-02-2003, 09:27 PM Yup. :D Where you been latley? You been working more or overtime? Later Jake  1Metric Ton 01-02-2003, 11:56 PM Jake what happened to practice practice practice? I have been burning up my touring car on the track because of it. My truck is another matter. I am still working on it though. Don't worry i am going to try a few more things....been reading that book again hehehe. I just need to get a few things taken care of and then..... Vrrrroooooooommmmmmmmmmmmm!! laters. God i love the look of that red car. Thanks again Jake. rowle1jt 01-03-2003, 12:35 AM Russ, you really should change your avatar, it doesn't look like or have anything to do with your Samuri. I shouldn't even comment on the "vroooomm" thing, but the Samuri doesn't have much of that does it? LoL :D Thats right keep working on your truck, and MAYBE you'll beat me in the MARS series this year. Since I can't afford a XXX-4 I will be running MOD truck and MOD 2wd buggy. Yeah, running with you and Casey.......... Can't wait to school both of you in off road as well... LoL :) Jake 1Metric Ton 01-03-2003, 01:39 AM Jake....we shall see....:p rowle1jt 01-03-2003, 01:41 AM Russell, turn on Yahoo! and talk to me, you meanie. :) Jake rowle1jt 01-03-2003, 01:55 AM Man, I just did something that I shouldn't have. I went throught the www.snowbirdnationals.com website, that was a mistake! I want to go so bad I can taste it!!! I honestly don't even care if I raced (althought it would be neat to get my ass handed to me in 4-cell stock, becasue then I would be there!). Racing would be fun, I but I think I would have almost as much fun just going, taking pictures, meeting cool people and chilling........ Man oh man..... maybe next year, when I'm out of school and in the real [read: married] world. "No really Chris, I DO want to go to Florida for vacation, you go see Mickey or shop or do whatever........" Ohhhhh I really shouldn't have looked at the site.... :( Howler 01-03-2003, 11:34 AM Wheew, I'm back. :p Hock was right guys, I was in da north woods. Still not enough snow for the machine. :( After a bunch of bad beer and playin GTA3 Vice, I'm ready to go racing again. A two week break is just too long. hock 01-03-2003, 11:37 AM At least I can get a raceday in before I head from the land of cheese to the land of Tacos:roll: Howler 01-03-2003, 11:38 AM Bring me back a sombrero Hombre :dude: rowle1jt 01-03-2003, 12:05 PM One just got back from the north, the other one is going south, are you guys ever home? LoL Either of you two going to the 'birds? Jake hock 01-03-2003, 12:08 PM I had planned on it but this Mexico trip the wife want to go on takes a chunk of cash and with Nationals in our backyard is not in the budget this year. I want to go next year:cool: rowle1jt 01-03-2003, 12:10 PM Yeah, I think it would be SWEET to go, its kinda of like a "who's who" in RC racing. LoL All depends on work and wife for me since I will be married and out of college next year! SCARY!!! Jake Howler 01-03-2003, 01:14 PM I was ready to go. Untill Hock backed out. LOL I was willing to make a deal with him. I'd get the Tickets to the 500 in DAYTONA, and he'd stay the extra week. Maybe next year. rowle1jt 01-03-2003, 01:22 PM We should get a group of us together and go down, then we could all get annoyed with each other and never like each other again. LoL No really, it would be really fun to go down there. :) Jake Howler 01-03-2003, 01:43 PM Belive me, I would love to go. Unfortunately, we will be moving into our new dealership within the next month. Talk about a logisitics nightmare. The networking of all the systems is a headache. Not to mention all of the hoists, tools, office equipment, and cars. I'm going to need another vactaion after all that, lol. :p chuck47 01-03-2003, 02:15 PM Hey Howler where did you go when you went sledding? vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2012, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
