We are heading south this morning with our sleigh full of toys, so I will say it now. To Kevin and Jake, Jamie and Jim, Russ, Joel and Casey, Mel and all his cohorts, Rick and all the others who creep these halls without saying much.

MERRY CHRISTMAS

This is what the typical vehicle will look like heading south on I-75 today, including ours. Won't the Grandsons be glad to see us!!!

Jamie, there was a 19t class last week, I am sure some more guys will be there for 19t this week. Bobby and I have not decided what we are running at the Snowbirds, one of us will probably run 19t though.

Frank, same with us as far as deciding what to run. Bobby wants to run road course, oval, and anything else they have. Gotta decide soon, they are putting a limit on entry's this year.

No T/C/ for me on Saturday. I have to work at 1:00. But friday night in Lansing for sure. I will most likely end up running 19 turn because I don;t have the motors to hang with those fast guys.

Not to start the battery debate again, but I guess I won't be running nats.... :( (I was thinking about it and now that I don't have any batts that are "legal" to run I guess don't have to think about it any more......

One time that ROAR could actually do something GOOD for the hobby and they have missed the boat so far........

Jake, that does not mean that they won't be by the time nats rolls around. Besides, I have packs you can use. It's not worth missing something that is unusually close( as far as carpet nats go). There's a lot of stuff to be learned at these races.

motor question to everyone.....when a can heats up it loses effeciency well does it ruin the can also? Is it better to just get a new motor or just an arm? motors are great but i can't run cool and be fast....Only Perry can do that....Grrrrr.. Any help would be cool. thanks Ya'll.

Russ, TC's are heavy complex beasts. They will always heat up a motor, if they don't then the you aren't running a big enough pinion.

Wanted to let everyone know that Lansing was a ball! George you should know that the Legend class was pretty big. Rick even showed up!

Sam Sprng, Mel, Greg Smith, Rick Radabaugh (sp?) and myself ran 4-cell stock. I had a very fast car if I say so myself! :) I was even going fast enough and driving well enough that I showed Mel a wheel (once!) and drafted about 6 inches behind him all the way down the back straight! Man was that cool, a fast car is more fun, imagine that! I was even able to hold Greg Smith up for about 5 or 6 laps. We all finished with 45 laps in 4 minutes and Mel had 47. What a surprise, Mel won. LoL :) It was a good fun race that we all could have one, we were all pretty close in speed. I was even fast enough that I pulled a holeshot. Mel asked me "where the hell that came from, I wasn't supposed to do that!" :D

Thanks to Jamie, Mel and Greg for all their help on my car! Also a HUGE thanks to Ted Flack, he handed me a BAG full of old Jaco foams that I can re-use the rims from. If that wasn't enough, he was cool enough to turn around and sell me 2 Cyclones for $50! Thanks Ted, I appreciate it!!!

Russ, over time, it can weaken the magnets. But you have to really cook it. (hey Jake, My car was fast and I barely cleared 109 deg, lol). Russ, I've started by gearing low, and then higher as needed. Iv'e run my car anywhere from a 6.8 to 8.1 final. I think that It worked best at 7.5 overall.
