Hey Mel. I took a ride through that new sub you mentioned off wildwood. That is a great looking area, lots of evergreens. It snowed here three days ago and not since, so three days worth of varmint tracks were visible. Believe me, you would not be lonesome there. They still have 8 parcels available, but they seem a bit pricey - 65,900 to 119,900. I got in there and drove around a couple of the lots with my 93 Aerostar. That is saying something, because I have been stuck in front of my garage a couple of times:lol:
Anyway, they have a web site with a virtual tour that I will email you if you want it.

I was watching a race the other day and a guy named Ben Wandasega was racing and doing quite well.
He was in the lead for a while but spun out, I was hoping they would interview him so I could see if it was him or not, They only talked to the winner though. I just can't imagine that there would be two people with that last name both named Ben.

Yes Joel,That is Ben.He has been doing that for a few years and recently started running the pro circuit,thats why he hasn't been racing much.If you ever see the starting of the speedworld show ,that is ben and his yellow truck doing barrel rolls down the straight away.He ruptured the blood vessels in his eyes and they turned bright red.He said that it was quite a ride.See ya Saturday

I'd Like to thank everyone that Made the trek up here to the soo.
We had a great time and once again got our butts handed to us by the 3 wise men. But this time a cheesehead decided to kick our butts too.

Hope everyone had a good time and made it home safe. I think our long distance award goes to Mike Bitter who made the trek alll the way from Madison Wisconsin to Race with us, He even gave the leader of the wise men a run for his money ion the A main for a while.

sounds like you all had a good time. Whats up with the 4 cell stock. I figured the guys would run 19 turn. WAY TO GO MEL!!!!!!!!! kicked Deanos butt. I wish I could have been there. I ended up racing with Doug and Ed in Lansing on friday and we had a great time. THen on Saturday we raced in Grand Rapids. They have the new track all set up. EZ to get to as well. It is exit 91 off of 131. THe track is RIGHT next door to Wendys. It is a hair smaller than the one from before but still a great place to race. So lets see some pictures from the SOO. I would love to see what I missed. Mel, let me know where you all are racing this comming weekend. Sparks is going to be doing the family Xmas thing so I will be going solo wherever we may end up.

Yeah, the old Schumacher was quick. Unfortunately, I was stuck under the pipes in the main for a while. I know that I could have hit that 53 lapper, possible a 54. Maybe next time,lol. Oh yeah, I did it without the MONSTER STOCK in the car, lol. :D

The Dyno is all good. It just had an ora around it for a little while, lol. An ora about the size of a softball, and it glowed in nice colors like red, yellow, orange and blue.:devil:

Never spray Motor cleaner into a motor while it's turning on the dyno. It makes a nice size fireball about the size of a large softball:lol: Howler could have lost his Eyebrow(s):eek: but the important thing is the dyno still works. :wave:

Did you fry a motor or what? If you had blue goin' on in there, then it was a hot fire for sure.... :eek:

I remember the good old days (cough, cough). About 40 years ago, when slot car tracks were a dime a dozen in the Detroit area. There was this young fireman who raced 32nd scale at the local track. We had a habit of using white lube on the bearings and bushings, and just before we set the car down to race, we would spray the white lube with lighter fluid. This would make some super slippery stuff. Well as in all things racey, sometimes you might be a little late for the start and a little spray of lighter fluid became a hurried squeeze of the can, (enough to keep a chain smokers butts lit for a week). Next it was set it on the track and when the call came to "Go", what magical sights you beheld. Needless to say, the young fireman would hide his union jacket that day. :eek:

Casey - So far the pan car racing in Lansing has mostly been 4-cell 19-turn, with a few occasions of 6-cell stock or 4-cell stock. From what we've seen so far, the 4-cell 19-turns run about the same number of laps as 6-cell stock. (We probably could put them in the same class.) There are a few guys who want to run 4-cell stock, but lately we never seem to have more than 1 or 2 of them on the same night. 4-cell 19-turn is kinda tricky, with many people having trouble with traction rolls. Hope this info helps ....

We're running 4C 19T pan, 6C stock Pan, Legends, 19T Truck, Stock Truck. Those classes seem to be the most popular. 3 cars make a class, so Casey, if you want to run E-Maxxes on the oval you'll have bring extra!!! :D

Yeah, I did real good and real smooth, until someone else wanted to run on the track. Of course when they saw me running fast, they new something was up:eek:

I was a real man once... Now I race legends. If you don't like it, take it up with Grandma.:mad:

I think that they should give us seniors an edge. When we can't go straight, we should be allowed to go very fast.:D After all we have to go a lot further on each lap, considering we make the straights look like esses.

I hope that no one who runs a track reads this, because they won't want to see me coming there way.

George, it doesn't matter what I'm doing (homework) or what mood I'm in (pissed at instructor) you always seem to post something that makes me smile. :) So thanks, no really, I mean it this time!

THat would be cool if we ended up with a bunch of guys in Lansing on friday to run 19 turn. I will call deano and see if he and keith are going to show as well as mel. I hope they do. Casey you should race in lansing on friday night then go to jackson on sat to practice for sunday. Make a weekend out of it.

I would preffer to run 4 cell stock but if I have to I will run 6 cell stock

I can,t make it to Jackson this weekend because I will be in Lapeer for In-Laws Christmas They are already going to be mad that I am skipping out Friday night for racing but they understand that I can see them more than I can race downstate. They know stuff like that is important to me and won't make me do something I don't want to do and miss a race (like some PPL )
