hock 12-05-2002, 01:41 PM NOT A PROB GLAD WE COULD HELP:thumbsup:   rowle1jt 12-05-2002, 02:33 PM Originally posted by Howler Jake, sorry to hear that you can't make it. Yeah it really sucks! I want to go bad I can taste it, but family things are more important in the end. Do you ever feel like your life is completely out of control and you can do nothing about what is going on in it? Honestly, right now the only thing keeping me sane is my fiance. I think with out her I would have gone insane by now, my stack of homework is taller than a building, and the stack of time is about 18 inches tall and lets not mention family stuff and sleeping. 3 to 4 hours of sleep everynight is getting old REAL QUICK................... If no one hears from me by sunday, please send a rescue squad. George and Russell both know where I live. Jake hock 12-05-2002, 02:51 PM Fiance? Don't do it man:lol: Your amount of available money for racing will be cut in half. LOL Told the wife if she leaves me she can have everything. (house, car, furniture) But I want my car stuff:lol: kingpin 12-05-2002, 03:02 PM Hey Mel. I took a ride through that new sub you mentioned off wildwood. That is a great looking area, lots of evergreens. It snowed here three days ago and not since, so three days worth of varmint tracks were visible. Believe me, you would not be lonesome there. They still have 8 parcels available, but they seem a bit pricey - 65,900 to 119,900. I got in there and drove around a couple of the lots with my 93 Aerostar. That is saying something, because I have been stuck in front of my garage a couple of times:lol: Anyway, they have a web site with a virtual tour that I will email you if you want it. George t3rc1 12-05-2002, 06:20 PM Thats exactly what i got in my divorce Hock,ALL MY R/C STUFF AND MY CLOTHES,,,,,,,,,,I guess what more could a guy want hey:D   Scott(t3rc1) WIGMAN 12-05-2002, 06:45 PM Hey Scott, Tell Ben to bring his sorry butt over here and race. By the way, does he race off-road trucks? I don't mean R/C trucks , I mean the real ones like they race in Bark river. I was watching a race the other day and a guy named Ben Wandasega was racing and doing quite well. He was in the lead for a while but spun out, I was hoping they would interview him so I could see if it was him or not, They only talked to the winner though. I just can't imagine that there would be two people with that last name both named Ben. See some of you guys tommorow and the rest of you guys on saturday. Hey Hock and Howler, If you guys get into town early give me a call, i don't work tomorrow. My # is 906-635-3698 Later, Joel Oh yeah, turnout, well if everybody comes that still says they are coming we should have no less than 10 pancars, probably more. triclone-dave 12-05-2002, 06:46 PM  Yes Howler I will be leaving my apt after 6 and will be their at 8 . Will all are junk fit in your truck because it is not a 2 ton truck holding 3 racers . Rember rc people bring everything and the kitchen sink .  Howler 12-05-2002, 09:56 PM It's all good Dave. We can always dump payload on the way, lol. t3rc1 12-06-2002, 12:25 AM By the way, does he race off-road trucks? I don't mean R/C trucks , I mean the real ones like they race in Bark river. I was watching a race the other day and a guy named Ben Wandasega was racing and doing quite well. Yes Joel,That is Ben.He has been doing that for a few years and recently started running the pro circuit, thats why he hasn't been racing much.If you ever see the starting of the speedworld show ,that is ben and his yellow truck doing barrel rolls down the straight away.He ruptured the blood vessels in his eyes and they turned bright red.He said that it was quite a ride.See ya Saturday Scott(t3rc1) rowle1jt 12-06-2002, 09:28 AM Hope you guys have fun tonight and tommorow........ Man I wish I was there. :( Jake mel 12-06-2002, 11:59 AM Won't be long and we will be on our way to the Soo. To the ones that unfortunatley can't make it all I can say is Na Na Na Na Na Na. Jake chuck47 12-06-2002, 01:31 PM Yeh Jake I'm with you I can't make it either:( I'm sure they will all have a good time all we can hope for is that they give us some feed back on what happened there saturday. I plan on going to the spring race by that time I'll have more off time available to me. chuck47 12-06-2002, 02:16 PM Hock Or Howler if you get this before you leave for the Soo Howler send me the pod plates and the stickers for my car and I'll send you the money in a money order. Gonna be a boring weekend for us hey, I'm working midnights this next six days since I have one in already. kingpin 12-06-2002, 06:33 PM I was just outside and I could hear this whining noise. It wasn't a coyote, and it was coming from the southwest. Oh! I know, its Jake crying about not getting to go racing. Sure am glad that I live 60 miles away. It must be an awful noise if you live closer:lol: kingpin 12-06-2002, 08:51 PM I tried to send you the info to your email in my address book, but it came back. You will have to email me so that I get your new addy. kingpin@ejourney.com rowle1jt 12-06-2002, 10:34 PM Originally posted by kingpin Oh! I know, its Jake crying about not getting to go racing. But this time a cheesehead decided to kick our butts too. Hope everyone had a good time and made it home safe. I think our long distance award goes to Mike Bitter who made the trek alll the way from Madison Wisconsin to Race with us, He even gave the leader of the wise men a run for his money ion the A main for a while. Later, Joel t3rc1 12-08-2002, 03:44 PM TTT..........No second page for us UP,ers LOL:wave:   Jamie Hanson 12-08-2002, 05:34 PM sounds like you all had a good time. Whats up with the 4 cell stock. I figured the guys would run 19 turn. WAY TO GO MEL!!!!!!!!! kicked Deanos butt. I wish I could have been there. I ended up racing with Doug and Ed in Lansing on friday and we had a great time. THen on Saturday we raced in Grand Rapids. They have the new track all set up. EZ to get to as well. It is exit 91 off of 131. THe track is RIGHT next door to Wendys. It is a hair smaller than the one from before but still a great place to race. So lets see some pictures from the SOO. I would love to see what I missed. Mel, let me know where you all are racing this comming weekend. Sparks is going to be doing the family Xmas thing so I will be going solo wherever we may end up. chuck47 12-08-2002, 08:47 PM Looks like you had a nice turnout for the races Joel wish I could have made it. I see Howler took top in Touring car, way to go Howler, I told you your car was fast last Wednesday!!!!!! Howler 12-09-2002, 12:32 PM Yeah, the old Schumacher was quick. Unfortunately, I was stuck under the pipes in the main for a while. I know that I could have hit that 53 lapper, possible a 54. Maybe next time, lol. Oh yeah, I did it without the MONSTER STOCK in the car, lol. :D hock 12-09-2002, 12:36 PM After the dyno fire. You should be named "FireBall" instead of Howler. Howler 12-09-2002, 12:47 PM IXNAY on the BIREFALL AEY!   Oh yeah, did I mention that if you flambey the motors, they gain at least 3 more powerpoints, lol. rowle1jt 12-09-2002, 12:50 PM Someone roached a dyno??? Come on, you gotta give us more info! Jake Howler 12-09-2002, 12:54 PM The Dyno is all good. It just had an ora around it for a little while, lol. An ora about the size of a softball, and it glowed in nice colors like red, yellow, orange and blue. hock 12-09-2002, 12:55 PM Never spray Motor cleaner into a motor while it's turning on the dyno. It makes a nice size fireball about the size of a large softball:lol: Howler could have lost his Eyebrow(s) but the important thing is the dyno still works. rowle1jt 12-09-2002, 12:55 PM Did you fry a motor or what? If you had blue goin' on in there, then it was a hot fire for sure.... Jake Howler 12-09-2002, 12:57 PM Just a little too much motor spray. 1st time that happened to me in my 16 yrs of racing. Jake YGM. rowle1jt 12-09-2002, 01:01 PM I see, thanks I got it. On a side note for everyone, I won't be around too often for the next couple of days. This is crunch week for me and I'm done with exams thrusday afternoon. I'll probably be around on thurs night or friday morning. So if you need something: jakerowley@yahoo.com for those of you that don't have it. Jake kingpin 12-09-2002, 01:46 PM I remember the good old days (cough, cough). About 40 years ago, when slot car tracks were a dime a dozen in the Detroit area. There was this young fireman who raced 32nd scale at the local track. We had a habit of using white lube on the bearings and bushings, and just before we set the car down to race, we would spray the white lube with lighter fluid. This would make some super slippery stuff. Well as in all things racey, sometimes you might be a little late for the start and a little spray of lighter fluid became a hurried squeeze of the can, (enough to keep a chain smokers butts lit for a week). Next it was set it on the track and when the call came to "Go", what magical sights you beheld. Needless to say, the young fireman would hide his union jacket that day. hock 12-09-2002, 01:49 PM  come on baby light my fire, Try to set life on Fiiirrreeee. yeah Howler 12-09-2002, 02:06 PM Where is BEVIS when you need him, lol. Next time, I'll bring some hot dogs to the track and we can have an R/C BBQ. Bobby Flack 12-09-2002, 03:13 PM Originally posted by Jamie Hanson sounds like you all had a good time. Jamie, it's Ted. Let me know where you guys are going this weekend, I have a brand new ADX and some SMC/JACO batteries and tires to try out. We have a race at Toledo this weekend but I might blow it off to have some oval fun. My e-mail is TFlack1215@aol.com. Ted Frank Ulbrik 12-09-2002, 03:20 PM Anyone racing in lansing this Fri.???? rowle1jt 12-09-2002, 04:22 PM Originally posted by Frank Ulbrik Anyone racing in lansing this Fri.???? Considering it, but no promisises......... :D Jake chuck47 12-09-2002, 07:30 PM Sounds like the racing wasn't the only hot and heavy thing going on at the races hey. Boy at the cost of dynos it's good it didn't blow also:eek: Promatchracer 12-09-2002, 07:37 PM Originally posted by Frank Ulbrik Anyone racing in lansing this Fri.???? Frank This is Casey I might race Lansing Friday but I need more info on it Like the rules What they are running LMK ASAP Casey kcbrake@portup.com chuck47 12-09-2002, 08:34 PM Hey Casey did you pick up that Fantom dyno you were looking at on the swap thread? Casey with a dyno this is getting scary:eek: Promatchracer 12-09-2002, 09:01 PM Nope he was looking for just cash I am looking to just trade So if anybody knows some one that wants to trade for one I will make them a hell of a deal in trade Just think If I just get preparred for a race I would be scary Later Casey kevinm 12-09-2002, 09:16 PM Casey - So far the pan car racing in Lansing has mostly been 4-cell 19-turn, with a few occasions of 6-cell stock or 4-cell stock. From what we've seen so far, the 4-cell 19-turns run about the same number of laps as 6-cell stock. (We probably could put them in the same class.) There are a few guys who want to run 4-cell stock, but lately we never seem to have more than 1 or 2 of them on the same night. 4-cell 19-turn is kinda tricky, with many people having trouble with traction rolls. Hope this info helps .... Kevin NTwigs 12-09-2002, 09:54 PM We're running 4C 19T pan, 6C stock Pan, Legends, 19T Truck, Stock Truck. Those classes seem to be the most popular. 3 cars make a class, so Casey, if you want to run E-Maxxes on the oval you'll have bring extra!!! :D Hey guys, Walt wants to run 4C Modified. Who up for it??? rowle1jt 12-09-2002, 10:23 PM Originally posted by NTwigs Hey guys, Walt wants to run 4C Modified. Who up for it??? George got practice in the real mans class in MP last year..... He was running 6-cell mod. :D Jake kingpin 12-09-2002, 10:43 PM Yeah, I did real good and real smooth, until someone else wanted to run on the track. Of course when they saw me running fast, they new something was up:eek: I was a real man once... Now I race legends. If you don't like it, take it up with Grandma. I think that they should give us seniors an edge. When we can't go straight, we should be allowed to go very fast.:D After all we have to go a lot further on each lap, considering we make the straights look like esses. I hope that no one who runs a track reads this, because they won't want to see me coming there way. rowle1jt 12-09-2002, 11:09 PM George, it doesn't matter what I'm doing (homework) or what mood I'm in (pissed at instructor) you always seem to post something that makes me smile. :) So thanks, no really, I mean it this time! Jake Jamie Hanson 12-10-2002, 01:00 AM THat would be cool if we ended up with a bunch of guys in Lansing on friday to run 19 turn. I will call deano and see if he and keith are going to show as well as mel. I hope they do. Casey you should race in lansing on friday night then go to jackson on sat to practice for sunday. Make a weekend out of it. Promatchracer 12-10-2002, 01:43 AM I would preffer to run 4 cell stock but if I have to I will run 6 cell stock I a no where good enough to run Mod and I wont run 4 cell 19t unless somebody Gives me a motor I still need more info Like where are you guys at do I need to bring table and chair ext cord time to get there Stuff like that Jamie are you going to Lansing Friday I can,t make it to Jackson this weekend because I will be in Lapeer for In-Laws Christmas They are already going to be mad that I am skipping out Friday night for racing but they understand that I can see them more than I can race downstate. They know stuff like that is important to me and won't make me do something I don't want to do and miss a race (like some PPL ) I hope to see you guys there Just LMK some more info SOON I need to plan on what I am running and I still have to fix my car from this weekend Later Casey vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2012, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
