I have to do a little bit of tuning on the touring car but other then that i should be in great shape. =) I am going to have to read this more often heheh, i am a few pages behind LOL Ohh well doing my best. Take care everyone and see you at the races.

Wow NOT a good night for me last night. I was playing with a really differnet setup. (just for a change)I will be going back to my other setup tonight. Sorry Jake I completely forgot the pictures. I was to busy letting Perry get the points lead on me:eek: Not to mention I completey forgot the camera. I will get them though.

I hate it when Perry beats me  But he earned it:rolleyes:

11-21-2002, 11:17 AM
Yeah, I also tried a new setup. The car plowed big time. Obviously, I won't be running it next week. I made some drastic battery tray changes, and that helped for the main. However, The tray is not in the optimum "CG" for the car. On a side note, I broke another t-plate in the car. How I really need a spring steel, ARRRRG!

I have to close the points again before I play again. Although I think last nights setup will be killer at the soo race.

Here I am just two days from race day, and my sprinter has a broken wing and my legend is missing the entire rear end. Could not get to them today because the Legend Emporium was turned into Kingpins Paint Shop. Five bodies half done on Thursday afternoon.

Like a touring car racing across the top or middle of a certain website? *cough EUPRC.com* LoL have a great day and have fun hehehe. I have to work today and when i am done i will be tearing down my TC to see what is wrong with it. Talk to everyone laters. Russell.

Speaking of flash. I think a car body painted to reflect light like a mirror would be cool

I had the paint hock, but alas, I mishandeled the glass bottle and it ended up shattering on the floor. Not pretty. Looked like a Terminator 1000 was re-morphing on my floor.

Do you guys remember when Darrel Waltrip painted his nascar with chrome paint that reflected like mirror? He also wore a reflective suit that made him look like something from space. Of course most people think that he came from somewhere other than earth already. The car was great looking, and drew a few complaints. I saw a couple of cars in Lansing that had the new chrome paint as well. They were great. Can't wait to try some.

Ran it three different times and changeed stuff everytime, every time it got better too. :) Now I need to get my motor up to speed..... LoL I'm ready though, 4-cell or 6-cell, BRING IT ON! LoL Yeah, right, Mel and Kevin could beat me with a 2-cell Legend. I'll let you know how tommorow goes.

I missed you all too.Sorry i couldnt be there but my dad is in the hospital dying from cancer and i wanted to see him.I talked to jacob sat nite after the race and he had a blast, said something about a tri oval?Sounds like fun,I was going to take him but thursday all this bad stuff came down with my dad and to top it off,my blower motor on my car went foobar.109.00 for a blower motor for a lumina car:mad: I will be at the next race for sure as i will more than likely come with kevin and jacob.Glad everything went well for you all today and sounds like you all had a great time.Talk to ya all later and take care.................

Scott, Sorry to hear about your father, lost my grandmother to cancer, so I know it can be just as hard and painful on you as well as him.

As for the blower motor....at is a GM. :D LoL

Ran the Terminator Pro last night in practice, 4-cell w/MVP. It was not what you would call an "exciting" car to drive, ok ok, it was slow. LoL Worked on the car a little, and then today swapped out the MVP for a JR Racing "tuned" Green Machine 3. I'll be honest, I knew the barbeque motor was fast, but my car was now smoking! Not literally, I actually ran all day and didn't smoke a GM3, that's a record for that motor ins't it? :) Well anyway, the car sucked now that it was fast. The whole time, the car was turning on a dime, in fact, I had TOO MUCH steering, I turned the dual rates to 25% and I could have gone less! Mel helped me with it (Kevin helped me last night too, man I need a lot help, maybe some one can help me drive too.... ) either way the car got faster through the corners. I qualafied a surprising dead last in the B-Main, nothing new there. During the main it was fast, I just need to work on my driving now. I was as fast as any of the cars in my main, they just out drove me. Kevin, Mel or George, who else was in my main? LoL

I like the car, what I don't care for is the hardware that holds the slider and the tray to the car. It feels real soft, almost cheap. That is the ONLY complaint I have about the car. When I have to nit-pick that bad to find something wrong it....it must be built pretty good. Now if I could find a good driver to drive it..... :D

I must say, Casey HOOKED ME UP with some killer 4-cell packs. Had more than one person look at the battery and say something I can't repeat on Hobby Talk..... As Kevin would call him, "Rotten Little Hanson Kid" even thought they looked good. Jamie, I promise I'll have the other one built so you can run it in the Soo, I think Keith expressed some interest in trying it as well. :)

Hey Jake you should see the Batts I just got in
I was shocked when I saw them
That Hanson Kid might want to try them if he is man enough to come to the Best Damned Trophy Race in Michigan in December

It is going to be a blast Guys. I cant say it enough for those of you that are thinking about coming and don't you don't know what you will be missing
It is going to be a blast
I have picts that Joel took I just need to e-mail them to Jake

The Term Car is a blast
There will be enough of them at the Trophy race so it will be fun to see how many make it to the a main

Jake Don't worry about the slider tray.

Saw the results from saturday's race. Was it a little rough, Lap count was down a bit?

11-25-2002, 10:39 AM
I don't know why the lap count was down, I know they ran a tri-oval or a "D" shaped track. I wasn't there, I was in Mount Pleasant, turning more laps in 4-cell than a few of the 6-cell guys..... :) Mind you, not the "fast" 6-cell racers. :)

Car took a whole lot of work, but with Mel and Kevin helping me, once we got the car close it was a ROCKET SHIP! JR Racing motor didn't hurt either, and I know the batts helped.... :D

The 4-cell stock A-Main and the 6-cell stock A-Main both turned the same amount of laps this weekend in Mount Pleasant....... Just thought I would let everyone know. The 4-cell A-Main was all on the same lap and all finished with 15 feet of each other!
Jake

We are also hitting the same amount of laps as the 6-cell guys. for the same reason.

rowle1jt
11-25-2002, 11:08 AM
I was hitting the same number of laps with my 4-cell car that some of the 6-cell guys were hitting. This does not inlcude Kevin Marcy (KevinM) who, like Mel and a few others, could beat me with a 2-cell Legend. Regardless, I was happy with the way I ran, with one more heat, I could have had the car dialed.....for the main. :)

LoL George, Jamie and I were discussing it and we think that if George could book that special "whirlpool" room lke he did last april, then all three of us could crash in there. With Jamie sleeping in the tub, :) Hey we gotta do something to slow this kid down, maybe if he has a sore back...... LoL :D The part that sucks is that it is still the weekend before exams. No, I didn't give in. For roar events they should still be Illegal til ROAR stamps them approved or the rule is changed. But I don't always run at ROAR tracks. SO I will be legal then.

I just don't like people showing up saying I'm ruinning these because I own them. Kind of like if Dale Jr showed up at a NASCAR race and said screw you guys I'm running a 30 gal gas tank because I paid good money for it. While the others met the rules. if nascar said it was ok to run that at the next race. Hey then it's all good
