Had a great time racing at traverse city yesterday.
Made the "A" with the ADX car, Finally got it working now I'm switching to the Terminator.

There were 12 pancars there we ran 3 heats of 4
tq (jamie hanson) got 61 in qualifying then there were 5 or 6 of us at 59 laps, i squeked into the "A" by 1 second.

In the main I fished 4th right where I started.
Di 59 laps again and Jamie won it in his last ride in a woods car with 62 laps.

In the main there was Jamie, driving a woods car, John Sparks , Driving a wwods car, Calvin Vernes, Driving an associated, and me driving the new ADX car. Next time we race together all but calvin will be driving a terminator pro.

Along with Sparks' traveling partner Mark Ceiciek(sp) all together there will be 4 new Terminators running next weekend.

See some of you this weekend and the rest on the 7th

Hey Scott, You gonna make the trip over this weekend?

See Ya, Joel

Since them Woods cars are obsolete they can't be worth much. Anyone looking to part with them can contact me. Now remember they are old news so they must be pretty cheap. Bring them to the Soo Dec.7 and I will be there to take them old relics off your hands.

Hey Mel,
You don't want Jamies, He's so rough on his car he broke the front of the chassis.

lol

I don't think the other 2 will be coming to the soo, ya never know though, Jamie might be able to talk Sparks into coming up.

Glad to here you are stil planing on coming up.

Have you been to any of the Jackson Races this year?
Just wondering how they are going and what kind of turnout they are getting.

See ya, Joel

Hey joel, it is kind of cool how a car works when you free up the front and and get rid of binding kingpins. :-). Joel was being picked on most of the day by the track owners wife but we are all proud of him. THe boy was fast. Man did he have some smoke. I hope to have the Terminator Pro running for mount P. It all depends on if I can get a right sidde bulkhead and maybe a different center shock.

Hey Jamie, The way this center shocks mounts your woods shoulf fit right on, I have to do a couple modifications to get my associated one on there.
Wish he would have sent instructions on where some of the standoffs and stuff were supposed to go. Oh well, I finally figure it out now all I have to do is get it workin as well as my adx was last sat.

If I had smoke what did you have? You were like WWWAAAAYYYYYYY faster than everyone else.

Later, Joel

I wasn't there, but Keith said that the pan car drivers got together and decided to run 6-cell stock and 4-cell 19 turn classes. This way, everyone will know what to set up for before they come. The turnout was apparently very low at the first race, partly because all the road course racers were at the CRL race. It probably didn't help that the schedule came together at the last minute and alot of people didn't know about it. I've also heard that Ed Wasserman will be there at this weekends race selling lots of misc. parts CHEAP!

Joel Sounds like you are having the problem I had which is the mount rubs the front of the T-plate. I solved it by raising the mount with washers 1/8 " I also mount the T-Plate to the right for carpet. I'll offset it for racing with cap tires.

This ia a small room with passages to the east and south and a forbiding hole leading west. Bloodstains and deep scratches (perhaps made by an axe) mar the walls.
A nasty-looking troll, Brandishing a bloody axe, blocks all passages out of the room.

Your Sword begins to glow very brightly.

Suddenly you are attacked by a yelow touring car rim and you and the mighty sword are in for the fight of your life,The only escape is to incapacitate the yellow rim and get out thru the forbidding hole guarded by the troll:eek: Who will for some good old U.P venison, let you thru and also tell you the way to the rejuvinating fountains that lay at the foot of the cascading mountains....tee hee,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

As enter the forbiding hole to the west, Everything goes black.

Black:
You stand there in the black. There is nothing to describe it except Void of everything. You then remember the lamp you are carring in you tool box. You retrive it and turn the switch on. A bright a brilliant glow arises form the center of the lamp. It pushes the black away from you and disappears in the distance. You look around trying to find out exactly where you are.

Land of Hell:
As you Look around you notice that there is nothing but a slate of hard ground colored black stretching from North to south disapearing into the black in each direction. Except for the few yellow and white marking on the hard ground everytihng is completely void of color. As you cross the hard ground you come across a sign. The sign says M-28 Sault Ste marie 59 Miles.

LoL Good one Hock.

Quick question for you. What are the different wheelbases on the TP chassis? Which on will be the best to use if I don't want to change them? I don't have enough bodies to have all three wheel bases, so which one will I use the most often?

The very front
The Middle
The very back

Thanks Hock! Perry and Mel your input is appreciated as well!
Jake

hock
11-19-2002, 04:49 PM
Right now I've found the center is handleing really well. Not only will shorting your chassis of lengthing it make your car handle difernetly. but due to the shock mount position it will also increase or decrease the pressure on the front end acroding to wheel base

11-19-2002, 05:14 PM

Boy has this thread deteriorated.

It used to be filled with pearls of wisdom and gilt edged philosophy.

Now its "yellow rims" and "black halls"

I guess that Mel, KevinM and I will have to do more posting.

Gosh Jake, don't you wish that you could spell deteirriXXX - detreiiXXX - detterriiiattid???

By the way, sure wish you would send along the pic of Russ's car. The paint is going on pretty quick. It is hard to mask after the third coat.

rowle1jt
11-19-2002, 05:22 PM
George, YGM. Hard to mask after the third coat huh? I wonder why? LoL :)

Hock, we got a pretty good debate going on in the battery thread on the main page... :) It's so easy to stir people up on this message board! I love it! :) You do know its in good fun right? :D

I was going to ask the same thing. WHy is eveyone running the 10 inch wheelbase over the 9-3/8ths I have been running my woods car short and I knowit loosens the car up but why is everyone I see running the middle holes?

hock
11-20-2002, 10:58 AM
So far thre middle holes seems to feel the best for me. I have the car drilled for short but haven't needed to shorten it

Howler
11-20-2002, 11:04 AM
Jamie, right now, I have the short holes on my T-pro. However, the IRS blocks and Kimbrough axle carriers allow me to run the longer or shorter setup depending on track conditions. The car feels less squirly when running hard through the corners, when I run the longer setup. My wheelbase is actually inbetween the 10" and the 9 3/8ths.
