View Full Version : Carpet Racing in Northern Michigan
kingpin 11-12-2002, 03:23 PM Gosh, A junior in college and you didn't know why they call them puzzle cars. I can't even spell Kolluj and I knew that:lol:
I have a guy wanting to buy my TC3, and I can't remember putting it up for sale anywhere. Do you remember???
rowle1jt 11-12-2002, 04:41 PM Thanks George, atleast now I know for sure I'm wasting my money on college. :p
If you put your car up for sale I don't know where? It wasn't here, did you say something to someone at the MP race about it? Either way tell them no way! You got a whole lot of Touring Car Racing to do with me this winter to sell it!
Oh yeah, went by Jon's today. I have in my posession a "Kingpin Kare Package".... LoL Got the tires, springs are on order and will be here Fri. :)
Jake
Casey, YGM.
rowle1jt 11-12-2002, 04:47 PM I guess in response to you ribbing me:
How would I know if you put your car up sale, it's your wife's duty to remember for you what you did. :D
Later
Jake
rowle1jt 11-13-2002, 10:18 AM There you go again Hock....professing your love for the Upper Peninsula again. :)
I had quite the conversation with Dave from Leading Edge yesterday. Hell of a nice guy, and full of information. Said he appreciated you guys pushing the car up there in the GB area. Now if only Casey and can start pimpin' it Michigan..... Of course we don't have the results to back it up like you guys..... :D
Jake
I will say they are working great. At regionals There was so MUCH traction (much more than we were used to) That we were casing the setup all day trying to get corner scrub out of it. Even though we quaiified a lap off the pace the car was getting faster all the time.
One more quailifiers and I think would have been enough. I got the GB setup in and ready for tonight. If things go Good I'll wrap up the first season of points and perry should take 2nd. The White season is going to be great. We had 5 or six new racers who are strong join us after the season started. So it will be very close
rowle1jt 11-13-2002, 10:31 AM Ok, I have NEVER seen a Term Pro for sale on the Swap and sell boards here. You look through them now and there are 3 for sale! Whats up with that?
Jake
Don't care. I know this car is great. There is always someone selling something no matter how good it is. :D
rowle1jt 11-13-2002, 10:41 AM Yeah, I realize that. I just found it odd that it went from none ever to three all at once....
Dave and I talked for while, discussed many different things and between the two of us, we have some AWESOME ideas for the website. I will say this, and leave it at this. No hype, but when it is done, I see NO REASON why it won't be the best oval car website on the internet....... :)
Jake
rowle1jt 11-13-2002, 11:17 AM Hock, YGM
 Jake me e-mail pops up auto when it's sent so you don;t need to ygm me:D I also get my work mail at home. it's cool:wave:
rowle1jt 11-13-2002, 11:25 AM Fine, I won't tell you then. :D Thanks for your help!
Jake
rowle1jt 11-13-2002, 08:22 PM Russell are you still alive??? Looking forward to this weekend, are you as excited as I am yet??? :)
Jake
rowle1jt 11-13-2002, 11:17 PM All right WIGMAN, I have been looking at this crap that says "Pickford, MI" for months. Will you PLEASE update your profile! LoL :)
Jake
James Hanson 11-13-2002, 11:25 PM Casey, Joel, Jake, someone tell me about this car. I basiclly broke my x15 chassie a couple weeks ago and am looking at a new car. I was thinking adx or maybe proparts but you guys seem to like this car and I know I can maybe get one from Casey. Help me out. give me some info. $$$$$, and why do you like this car so much. I would love to run it and maybe call this dave guy myself and talk about setup. I want a few weeks with this car before Nationals. My woods car worked well at the Regionals but I want a change. One of you guys talk to me.
Promatchracer 11-14-2002, 12:01 AM Jamie
I posted and e-mailed you a couple of times

1Metric Ton 11-14-2002, 12:45 AM Hey guys i'm still alive....a little. Took a few days off from board reading, no time is all. Working 2 jobs sucks. I am trying to stay current on stuff. Thanks for the props on the YELLOW RIMS. I've been reading my manual again. * more speed secrets* also for my controller *i'm getting faster yet* and i think i have it down. I think i have my steering "issue" down now. All i have to do is remember to adjust the thingie... Yea i am super pumped up for the race this weekend Jake. Was wondering what was on the agenda for sat. night? Movie? show girls? Not sure why it shows me as bein on in the day time? I havn't been online Jake? Who knows with this computer though LoL. Just wait until i get that body figured out on the touring car. If i drop the body a bit i should get even faster. My back end isn't exactly hugging the ground like other touring cars are, it's like an inch to an inch and a half up off the ground LoL, BUT the car is handling like a dream. So does your car to Jake for a shaft car hehehe.
Ohh yea i've been thinking about that whole shaft thingie..and it seems to me that people how have a shaft car are saying 1 thing...they are making up for something that they don't have.... know what i mean? hehehe chat laters Y'all.

Alrright Hock and Casey: Here is our chance to sell the Terminator Pro to Jamie! Sliding battery tray, adjustable rear steer, transponder mount on the 4-cell battery tray, EASIER TO GET THAN AN ADX. If you go ADX, all I have to say is good luck.... :) You can get one from Casey, I'm sure he'll make you a "fast guy" deal, the owner Dave. Yes do call him, he is one of the nicest guys on earth! He has a website, I am currently re-doing the website, and my Terminator Pro is on the way..... :)
Current Website (http://hometown.aol.com/wrewin/page1.html)
There you go, hock and Casey, please feel free to jump and sell Jamie a car. :)
I will let everyone know when the new Leading Edge Site is up and running!
Jake

Jake
Howler 11-14-2002, 11:52 AM Thanks for the props. I'd like to congratulate my teammate on a 1st place finsh in DA points. You held off the wolfpack just long enough. Your right about one thing, next season is going to be hella-close in the points. Chuck, I hope that you have your spurs on because it's going to be very competative. RACE ON!
Howler 11-14-2002, 12:02 PM Hey Mr. Hanson, Here's what I really like about the Terminator. It's a strong, fairly simple design. The sweet thing is that there are two sets of holes drilled in the chassis to allow a total shift of the rear pod and t-plate assembly. There are no shock adjustments to be made to the car if you decide to try an offset pod. In less than 5 minutes, you can change from centered to offset. The other sweet part is the overall design. It's also a very clean chassis with plenty of room for electronics placement. What else you ask? Try stiff, stiff, stiff. The rigidity of this car makes my old cars chassis (mfg name exlcluded) feel like a wet noodle. For the cost, and quality in this kit, there is no wonder why people are jumping on the wagon.
Promatchracer 11-14-2002, 03:10 PM I would like to Annouce that Mr. Jamie Hanson is the proud owner of a Terminator Pro as of 1 am last night
Look out guys now he is even faster
Just the 3 Wise men to switch over and than the rest of the world (Laughs with an evil grin and smirk)

1Metric Ton 11-14-2002, 04:03 PM Hey everyone know those pictures that where took at teh last soo race? Well i am sorry to say that they all where not good. Jake
WIGMAN 11-14-2002, 06:16 PM Hock, we have only had one points race up here so far so the results of the race I posted are the points standings as of now.
Later, Joel
Howler 11-14-2002, 07:17 PM Dang, with that many Terminators around, we'll have to shoot the trilogy. DUN DUN DUN DUN DAH DUN, (in the worst Arnold voice possible) COME WITH ME IF YOU WANT TO WIN! I'm Back!
kingpin 11-14-2002, 08:24 PM Hey Jake. What spur and pinion do you have on the tc3? Had mine on the black top drive today, and it had great speed on the long run, but no quick pick up. I believe the spur is 78. The pinion is 23. What pinion would make sense if I am not willing to change the spur without a book of directions in my hand.
Also, now that you have everyone jealous of your terminator, How many legends do I have to sell to be able to afford one???
I don't remember answering your question about the deal on the rack of pinions, but I would like to do the deal.
Two more of the munchkins are here for a two day visit.
Happy is the man who quiver is full of grandsons.. I'd rather have great pan car.
James Hanson 11-14-2002, 08:31 PM Well everyone, I talked to Casey last night and joel I think you might be bringing me a care package on Saturday to Traverse CIty. Hope to see you all there.
Promatchracer 11-14-2002, 08:35 PM Hey Jamie You might need the T-bar
I thought I had some but they are all for the 1/12th I am still looking though
I found the side pods so your set there
Joel is bringing down the package for you
Also I am pretty sure I have another one turned to Term Pro
I will wait to post the name to make sure
Well got to go kid just woke up
I will be online later
Casey
rowle1jt 11-14-2002, 08:45 PM George, I think 68 is the stock spur size. Drop three teeth and see how it is, adjust accordingly. The TC3 is kinda sensitive to gearing changes, not as much as a pan car though. :) I think mine is geared 22/68 right now, don't quote me on that, but also I have VERY small foams, they are trued down to almost nothing so that will account for my pinion. Also, brand new foams will be a little bigger than the rubber you are running now. We should get there early enough that you will have time to practice, we can play with it there, just take a pack or two of practice packs already charged. :)
If your thinking about buying a Terminator Pro (which you should because you like oval racing and you can win with your "MAGIC" Reedy Stock Motor...) then we can talk more about it this weekend. It is a very durable car, I don't think even you could break it. :p
Happy is the man who quiver is full of grandsons.. I'd rather have great pan car Thats my favorite line of your whole post, it had me laughing for a long time. See you really do want a Terminator Pro! :)
Looking forward to this weekend, did you get the e-mail about me being the second driveway on the right not the third.?? LMK call if you need me to explain more, or e-mail and I wil call you. :)
Jake
Oh I thought you had two. I must have been sleeping again.
