March 8th hey Hock. I'll mark it down on the calendar already, that was a lot of fun last year. I think I might stay overnight this year sounds like you had fun at Hooters last year after the race.

offically it's a tenative date. 98% sure of it though. Last year was fun at hooters. I needed to relax after a long hard day. Hooters (restruat) can do that with the proper amount of adult beverages:) :) :)

Hey Greg I might be interested in racing down that way. Keep us posted. I will be racing at Lansing when they get there track up and running. Mt. Pleasant races once a month on Saturdays so try and not set a race up on those dates.
To all the rest of you racers I'm still lurking out here. Keep us posted when the Soo races. Later

I can take some when I go up there for their race, I am sure Casey will too. He has a digi-cam, he might have some from last year from up there. Well Casey, do ya? And no, not the one from the resteraunt of me looking like a dork! (normal?) :D
Jake

Actully if Casey and Joel want, I can do a website, with points and all if they keep me updates on the points race.... I would be more than willing to do a website! Actually, the geek in me is kicking and and getting excited about it....well how about guys?

What do you say we start a class for this in the Soo? It would be fun, same rules as TC, but you must run a certain body. That could be a blast if it caught on.......

I was discussing the soo with some guys last night at the "W" and they want to go. Some of Guys that have been to trackside are looking forward to attending the Soo races. So all we need are date to get the word out. Hopefully you guys will have 4-cell since most oval raceers in WI run 4-cell. Our 6-cell Class is almost gone. Only 2 or 3 hard core guys left.

Hey Jake did you get my e-mail?
what was that link for, it didn't work
Hock if you can gaurantee me 5 guys to run 4-cell i'll even get trophy's for a four cell class. I tried the 4-cell thing last year but nobody around here wanted to do it so we went back to 6 cell.
I will be more than happy to accomadate the 4-cell boys if the want to come.

Joel, I got your e-mail, but there was no attachment and nothing about dates. I can do a PDF no problem for you as long as I get dates and such. What did you think of website? You like idea or are you thinking it would be too much work? LMK
Jake

PS re-send the e-mail and put the dates in this time!!!

"W" is short for VFW. Officaily, But for guys in the know. It stands for Wreck. Some race nights on the tight oval can get quite rough. Ususally the Stampede trucks:wave:

Where is the Soo Site. I'd like to add the Link to our club site.

Hi Joel We need some dates. Thanks

After seeing those things go at ROAR Reg 5 at the Tri-Clone.
All I can say is Wholey !@#$. Those things fly. Chuck will vouch
for that. It was like watch a colored streak go by. I've been out of the Mod game for two long. I've been considering 19 turn since the begining of summer. But decided to wait on WHICH motor TO USE. Trackside in Milwaukee are going to run the arcor motor I guess. And I believe they will run those at the Reg 5 event at trackside, So for 19t I'd give a definate maybe. :)

Mod pan car......"whoa"...... I can barely control my pan car with undergeared overused stock motor with low end cells..... I can't wait to see this. :D

If Casey races this class, I'm bringing my softball mit......

Jake

Joel/Casey, get me those dates!

Mod. would be cool this time cuz there will be no inside borders to hit.

Hock, we don't have a site yet, well as least not until jake makes us one....hint hint, thanks for the offer jake and I accept, it won't be a whole lot of work for me all i have to do is e-mail you the points.

thanks, Joel

Hey Wigman you have a start with taking down the inside barriers that's great it'll be more and better racing in my books. On the 4-cell mod I'd say they would give six cell a good run for the checkered flag there fast for sure. I think 19t would be nice to race in, and that arcor motor I'v heard about sure sounds like a good motor with less maintenance:eek:

rowle1jt
09-19-2002, 06:37 PM
Joel, correct me if I'm wrong, but the inside pipes WILL be there on the dates that roadcourse is run right? Only at the warm up and the Trophy race will there be no inside barrier? Thanks for the clarification.

Four cell mod might be a tad faster than six cell stock. Maybe we can talk Greg and Keith into some nineteen turn for the Soo.
Hey Jake get that flyer up for the Soo. For a computer guy like yourself it should only take a couple of minutes.
Looking forward to racing at the Soo. Going to Traverse City with Greg and Keith to race Sat. Later Guys

WIGMAN
09-19-2002, 09:44 PM
Just to clarify, the only races that will not have inside barriers are the warm-up race for the oval trophy race and the oval trophy race itself. all other races we will be running roadcourse and oval. the inside barriers will be in place for the roadcourse.
As much as I would love to go to racing oval only(setting the track up would be way easier every race) we have too many people racing touring cars and trucks that like doing roadcourses. myself being one of them but this year I have decided to concentrate on oval this year.

Jake will be posting the flyer tommorrow.
hope to see you all soon, good luck to everyone that is going to traverse city, wish I could go but my bachelor party is sat. night

4 cell 19t is just a tad faster than 6 cell stock. 4 cell mod is insane. These guys running 8 and 9 turn motors are just as fast as when 6 cell ran 10 and 11 singles. They only used to only run that low of a wind for drag racing.

I'm keeping plenty of distance between me and 4 cell mod. Not to mention I don't have the money, motors or batteries to play that game.
You guys might already have them from off-road or TC but I can't justify buying motor's that I can't use in the whole state of Wisconsin.:hat:

I ran four cell mod at the Indy Velodrome and you are right on. I ran a Fantom T1 nine single. It was fun and fast. Six cell mod guys ran ten and eleven turn singles. Now that was insanley fast.
Jake please send me a flyer for the Soo. Later

Don't get me wrong I love speed. Been to the velodrome myself a couple times. I didn't get to go this year. Like I said I'd bring them up there and then I'd never get to use them again.

The "EUPR/C" website is up and running. :) There is much more to come for content on it.

Joel after each race you will need to e-mail the results..... That's your duty. :D

Give me some ideas for content, I was going to put in a links section for different links and pics when I get some. Obviously points and stuff. Anything else you guys can think of?

Later,
Jake

PS It is PLAIN PLAIN PLAIN right now, don't worry it will look better later!

Howdey boys. Winter racing is starting to come back and I am ready to go. This past Saturday there was racing in Traverse City. Kieth, Greg, and Mel were all there. It was a 4 cell stock day, and turned out to be a lot of fun. What is this about a race in the Soo. I didn;t get to go last year because of other obligations but this year I would love to plan on making it up. Just let me know the details. Mount Pleasant should be fun again this year as well. I am not sure of the dates yet but Jon said he would e-mail the dates when he gets them. Last year he mentioned running more races on the BIG oval in the gym again because it was such a great turnout last year. I have to run. I will keep in touch. Have fun ya'll and stay fast.

rowle1jt

It would be nice to run in the GYM again. Besides for him, better turn out = more $$$. For us, better turn out = better racing... :D
