Cool stuff jake

Here is some good news from another site.

Hi Guys, Hope everyone's having a great summer. The ROAR Region 5 Carpet Oval Championships WILL be at Trackside November 8-10. Start making your travel plans. We also put the application in for the Nationals next year. The new carpet has been ordered, and we hope to have it down by the middle of Sept. Should be a great season of oval racing. Looking forward to seeing everyone on Friday nights again. Ken

Hey Jake I will take a Gray large t-shirt with the Woods Northern logo. I guess I should ask if I can get one since I don't live in the North.
Casey did you ever get hooked up with ADX?

Hock, I had a great time and want to come back again, now that is racing at it's finest for sure!!!!!!! And as always I learned something, man those Wisconsin guys are hard to beat, or even to keep up too. Thanks for all the help from Perry and Hock, it made it easier to get competive as I could be! I hope you get the Nationals for next year just not on Labor Day weekend as I have plans to go to Minnesota to a biker rally. We'll definately see and race with you again on that track. Great time if you weren't there you missed a lot of fun racing!!!!!!!!

Scotty, I was telling Hock about your new job and why you couldn't come to the race. We understand just being hired and all we've all been there at one time ourselves. WEELLL now Scotty to make it easier for you to cxome and race next year we figured you should buy out the dealership and run it your own way and take the time off you want when you want it that will solve the whole problem. Not a bad idea hey, just trying out where we can Scotty. Chuck:thumbsup:

Hey all:D .Good to hear you had a great time at the velo.Sure wish i could have been there. If we keep working the hours we are i will soon own the dealership:lol: .Minimum of 52 hours a week.We do have the weekends off but thursdays are 12 hour minimum.I love it though, great bunch of guys i work with, they are dying to see my pancar go but i wont run it on the blacktop in the parking lot,too many little stones and i dont need the dammage:lol: ,Not sure about esky racing this year.As far a i know we have no building:( .Someone also run into our drivers stand at the offroad track and destroyed it.They hit it with a fourwheel drive by the looks of it.Some poeple have nothing better to do i guess.Looks like we will be traveling to race this year as i dont see us having a track.Hope to see you all soon and please let me know dates and times when carpet starts.I can already smell the PARAGON.Take care all and KEEP ON RACING

This year To help keep the club racing on time we have made a rule

You can't use the same car for two different classes. If you run back to back it then takes to lone to switch a motor, batteries or both. So make sure if you run two classes have two cars.

not too far from Larry's current trackn at the corner of 18 1/2 Mile and Mound, on Mound. from what Larry has said, the track is going to be a little shorter and a bit wider. should be great for oval.... I have to talk to Larry and Nick, maybe we can get a series going in MI for oval linda like the MARS, MORL, and CRL series are for on and off road. Gee, wouldn't that be nice!!!!

I talked to Larry last night over food at HOOTERS for a good while and just wanted to let everybody know what's up. As for racing, next Friday, Sept. 20th will be the season opener at the CURRENT building. Here's some info:

Sign in Closes at 7:15

Racing Starts at 7:30 SHARP

Classes:

1/12th stock
sedan stock (foam)
novice sedan (4-cell 19-turn)

any and all other classes as long as there are 4 people, such as rubber tire stk sedan, mod anything or 19turn sedan.

Give the guys at the shop a call at (586) 997-4840 if you need any more info, or would like to sign in early.

ok, now an update about the new track... Larry hopes to have it open for business and racing at the new building by the first of October. For those of you who don't know, Larry's Performance R/C's is moving to a new location on Mound Road, just north of 18 1/2 Mile Rd. on the east hand side. It's the current LogoWorks building for those of you who know the area. Now, I know this has been of some concern to some of you, the carpet. Larry informed myself, and Dave and Mac, that he will be getting genuine CRC OZITE, and that Calandra assured Larry that the carpeting that he will be getting will be from the same batch as the carpeting that is going to be used at Cleveland this year. Larry has also stated that he probably won't be glueing down this new carpet untill probably after Cleveland, possibly not until next year.
