He seemed so young and full of life. Does any one know who is getting his gear???? I could use some parts.:) rowle1jt 06-05-2002, 08:22 AM   Nice George, what a thing to say so someone in Casey's situation! Who gets the battery box? I need some batteries..... :D He may pass me in "Posts per day" or in the number of posts, but I think we all remember who made it to "Elder Statesman" first. George you gonna be home this weekend? I will have the truck and if you want we can toss the pontoon into the river. Or I guess I could just be a nice guy and give you a ride in my parents boat. ;) Laters, Jake hock 06-05-2002, 11:37 AM PROMACTHER There are lots of other weekends to attend. No I was not home today. Had to go to the epidermiologist to have a couple of spots checked. In Mt. Pleasant no less... He liked the spots so much he kept a couple. Really, he did a couple of biopsies, to check for the big C. I don't know if you can call it the big C if it is on the skin.:) I have had them before with good results, and am not too worried. Funny, I always thought that I would die at the hands of a jealous husband:devil: See ya. rowle1jt 06-08-2002, 10:23 PM George, hopeully everything is good. Let me know if you want to do it. Stop by or call me. You know the exchange 3823... :) Jake Hockrc10l3 06-09-2002, 08:15 PM We had a very good Saturday turn out, thank you mother nature. We had 18 drivers, three new drivers. Everyone ran the stock class, Corey Heft put down a new track record in the first round and then broke his own record in the next two rounds, he finally TQ'd at 34-4:05.28. Corey went on to win the A-main followed by Bill Sullivan, Kenny B,Paul Schwambeck,Pat Hockers and Danny D.Ken Pepe won the B-main followed Lloyd Davis and Scott Cramer a new driver from Crystal Lake Il. In the C-main Neil Hicks picked up his first win at the Triclone{his first time here} followed by Andy Koback and Dave J. The third new driver at the track was Jim Londo, Jim raced 1/4 scale before and I,m sure it won't take him too long to catch on to this deal. Thanks to all for your support, talk to you latter, :D The Triclone needs to thank Hurricane Motors and Paul Schwanbeck for providing some prizes for the racers on Saturday. Jim Londo won a new stock motor, I'm sure this will come in real handy seeing as how he is just getting into electric oval racing. Paul also left some more merchandise at the track to give out to the racers. Andy Koback and Lloyd Davis also won prizes on Saturday. On Saturday June 22 we will have our 1st Saturdy night race, the track will open at 8am and racing will start at 7pm. We will be encouraging all of our new drivers to come out and race and get in a good day of practice, hopefully there will be some veteran drivers there to give them some tips and help them get around the Triclone. I'm sure you all realize how important these people are to our sport/hobby. Thanks again for your support. The Mid-West Triclone :dude:  Promatchracer 06-09-2002, 10:45 PM Saw Mel today racing in Flint Mel I don't remeber saying thanks for the tires don't know what they will do for me but most likely I will put them with a TC to add to the value Thanks How did you do today My batts still holding up T T Y L Casey rowle1jt 06-10-2002, 09:33 AM Was Mel racing Touring Car and turning RIGHT??? Classes? hock 06-11-2002, 09:46 AM :) Track pictures at WWW.triclone.com. A paved Tri-Oval track with 3 different angles of banking for some great racing. A covered pit area with table and plenty of power. Smooth, clean and very fast. This track has Held ROAR nationals in 1996 and in 2000. also held many region 5 oval events. Infact this year there are again hosting the Roar Region 5 paved oval race in august. It will be aug 31 a one day race This is a definate track to try if you love oval:thumbsup: t3rc1 06-11-2002, 09:52 AM Hey Hock. That link wont work.Take my word though guys, the clone will be one awesome time.Cant wait to get there and try it.A big hello to all my buds out there.Take care and keep on racing:wave: Scott(t3rc1) hock 06-11-2002, 09:56 AM lets try this http://www.triclone.com/:confused: hock 06-11-2002, 09:57 AM aaaarrrggggghhhhh:mad: try it again http://www.triclone.com/ rowle1jt 06-11-2002, 02:55 PM George, you take that 'toon down to Secord yet??? Once you get it all sorted out let me know what it was. You running something like a 50 Evinrude or something right? LMK Once you get it in the water you have to figure out which place is ours, I figured yours out! (with a little help :( ) Since Photopoint closed, I opened up a Yahoo! Photo's account, there are some racing and car pics there but mostly just stuff from my Cabin, and a few MARS pics. Nice pictures taken by Jake! (http://photos.yahoo.com/jakerowley) Later, Jake jakerowley@yahoo.com t3rc1 06-11-2002, 05:08 PM Hey all.Remember back a while ago i was looking for a story called remember when.Well i found it and i wanted to share it with the senior members here cause it brings back some sweet memories. REMEMBER WHEN? Close your eyes.....And go back in time.... Before the Internet or the Mac, Before semi automatics and crack. Before SEGA or Super Nintendo... Way back........ I'm talking about hide and seek at dusk. Red light, green light. The corner store. Hopscotch, butterscotch, double dutch, jacks, kickball, dodgeball. Mother May I? Hula Hoops. Running through the sprinkler. The smell of the sun and licking salty lips. Wax lips and moustaches. An ice cream cone on a warm summer night Chocolate or vanilla or strawberry or maybe butter pecan. Wait...... Watching Saturday Morning cartoons...short commercials, FatAlbert, Road Runner, He-Man, The Three Stooges, and Bugs, or staying up for Gunsmoke. When around the corner seemed far away. And going downtown seemed like going somewhere. A million mosquito bites. Sticky fingers. Cops and Robbers, Cowboys and Indians, Zorro. Climbing trees. Building igloos out of snow banks. Walking to school, no matter what the weather. Running till you were out of breath. Laughing so hard that your stomach hurt. Jumping on the bed. Pillow fights. Spinning around, getting dizzy and falling down was cause for giggles. Being tired from playing.... Remember that? The worst embarrassment was being picked last for a team. War was a card game. Water balloons were the ultimate weapon. Baseball cards in the spokes transformed any bike into a motorcycle. I'm not finished just yet... Eating Kool-aid powder. It wasn't odd to have two or three best friends. When nobody owned a purebred dog. When a quarter was a decent allowance, and another quarter a miracle. When you'd reach into a muddy gutter for a penny. When nearly everyone's mom was at home when the kids got there. It was magic when dad would remove his thumb. When it was considered a great privilege to be taken out to dinner at a real restaurant with your parents. When girls neither dated nor kissed until late high school, if then. When any parent could discipline any kid, or feed him or use him to carry groceries, and nobody, not even the kid, thought a thing of it. When they threatened to keep kids back a grade if they failed...and did! When being sent to the principal's office was nothing compared to the fate that awaited a misbehaving student at home. Basically, we were in fear for our lives but it wasn't because of drive-by shootings, drugs, gangs, etc. Our parents and grandparents were a much bigger threat! ...and some of us are still afraid of them!!! Doesn't it feel good.. just to go back and say, Yeah, I remember that! Remember when........... Decisions were made by going eeny-meeny-miney-mo. Mistakes were corrected by simply exclaiming, "Do over!" Race meant arguing about who ran the fastest. Money issues were handled by whoever was the banker in Monopoly. The worst thing you could catch from the opposite sex was cooties. It was unbelievable that dodge ball wasn't an Olympic event. Having a weapon in school meant being caught with a slingshot. Nobody was prettier than Mom. Scrapes and bruises were kissed and made better. Taking drugs meant orange-flavored chewable aspirin. Ice cream was considered a basic food group. Getting a foot of snow was a dream come true. Abilities were discovered because of a double-dog-dare. Older siblings were the worst tormentors, but also the fiercest protectors. If you can remember most or all of these, then you have LIVED!!!! Pass this on to anyone who may need a break from their grownup life... This is what i was talking about It helps me to feel YOUNG again:lol: I know that this is the oval racing forum but i wanted my buds to see it and this is where they all hang out.You all take care and hopefully i will see ya all soon. Scott(t3rc1) rowle1jt 06-11-2002, 05:37 PM Originally posted by mel Hey guys I qualified eight out of sixteen and in the main a tire came off. Wow! I cannot bieleve this happened. I was unaware that Mel know what "bad luck" was. I thought your cars were always perfect! LoL :D Jake Promatchracer 06-11-2002, 07:34 PM Scott I still have that one in my outlook from you I just resent it to you might be at your old address though. It was back in 2/24/01 T T Y L Casey mel 06-11-2002, 09:31 PM Thanks Scott That did bring back memories and it is true. As I look back all I can say is "life was simple compared to now". Jake Yeah I wasn't very happy about that. I went and put on some light weight lock nuts and the threads barely got into the plastic locks. They are comming off. Later All t3rc1 06-12-2002, 12:02 AM Your welcome Mel.I knew you would remember most of this stuff.I showed this to my girlfriends kids (17 and 15)and they didnt know what half of the stuff mentioned here was.Kind of makes me feel old but i now know i have lived.Casey, that was at my old addy so i didnt get it,Thanx for trying anyway. Here's another one for you all. Read each of the following lines out loud. This is this cat This is is cat This is how cat This is to cat This is keep cat This is an old cat This is idiot cat This is busy cat This is for cat This is forty cat This is seconds cat Now, go back and read the THIRD word in each line, starting at the top. HA HA HA HA  .Just having a little fun.Take care all and Mel,Glue them babys on next time:lol: Scott(t3rc1) rowle1jt 06-12-2002, 08:26 AM Scott, I would say that I remember about 90% of them. Some of them don't apply to me, but for the most part they do. :) I know one things, I wouldn't want to be in Elementary or junionr high school anymore.... Jake hock 06-12-2002, 08:28 AM From: Kenny B Date: 6/12/2002 1:14:00 AM Eastern what's up with this weather! I leave the Clone at 11:30 pm and it is 78 degrees, about 150% humidity and a plague of bugs. I drive home (12:30 am) and it 56 degrees! Great action tonight. Some tough action also. Perry had some really bad luck tonight in by having car have a radio hit and drive full throttle into Turn 3, AND had a bottle of CA explode in his hand! Perry is okay...but tough night. Bruce "Viagra Wood" went limp and splintered! Didn't even run the show. I look forward to Saturday!   :hat: kingpin 06-12-2002, 08:46 AM Getting worried about Scott.... My 60 year old wife belongs to several quilt groups who have "discussion" boards, and they seem to like to pass along the same kind of "cute" stories as he does. You're not starting to quilt also, are you Scott? All in good fun. Actually I can remember every item you mentioned in the "remember this" post. One of my quests when I get to heaven will be to find out how many dollars worth of baseball cards (1945-52) were chewed up by the spokes on my American Flyer. chuck47 06-12-2002, 09:25 AM Scotty I remember a lot of the things in your way back when, I guess I can say I was there way back when. Give-err hey. chuck47 06-12-2002, 09:33 AM Promatcher I don't know what it was but I was registered a long time ago but couldn't post for some reason. But now I;m on so this is nice. chuck47 06-12-2002, 09:39 AM Scotty I'm glad the track is working out good for you. I don't dnow when or if I can make it there for off-raod I'm busy with my motorcycle safety classes fro the summer and I have to get the outside of my garage done. One busy summer as always, I want to go to the Tri-clone too. But who knows maybe I'll make it to your track I'll keep it in mind. :D rowle1jt 06-12-2002, 11:20 AM Mel, I got my 15 mostly put together. One question though. What servo did you use? All I have are standards and I think you might have used one of them high dollar servos? The mounts are to narrow, so now I gotta drill the chassis. :( Oh well, I just wondered waht servo it was so I could see how much they were or if I could find a used or comparble one. thanks Jake rowle1jt 06-12-2002, 11:23 AM If it is a Futaba or a Hitec then I can get it from Servo City (www.servocity.com) for a pretty good price. Their prices beat Tower on most servos and the have FREE priority shipping! Didn't know if you guys knew about this website or not, it is a pretty good website. Jake www.servocity.com mel 06-12-2002, 06:38 PM Jake It is drilled for a Futaba 3002. Tower price around $60.00 A 9601 will work also but they don't make it anymore. Maybe a 132h not for sure. For the racing that you do a Hitec 525 would work good or just redrill it for your servo. rowle1jt 06-13-2002, 09:45 AM So your saying I'm not as good as you huh? I think we all knew that. I will look into a 525, and the 3002 thanks Mel! George, I think you and I both know how much there is to do in Scotts area of the UP, he just might have started quilting......maybe even knitting....... Jake t3rc1 06-13-2002, 12:41 PM What do you mean i may have started quilting and knitting?I've been doing those things all my life:lol: .Actually there is lots to do here but no one to do it with. Some people........Never seem to be able to come up this way ahem ahem......We changed our track layout again to make it better for the new people we have racing. This year we are only racing every other sunday so it is a little easier on Kevin and I.Looking at the number of posts that Jake has been putting up,I'd say there is not much to do where he is either,Dude,I can let you borrow some knitting needles if ya need them or some fabric to do a quilt, with the way the weather gets around here,I'd say there is nothing better than a warm hand made quilt:lol: Take care all and keep on quilting:wave: Scott(t3rc1) rowle1jt 06-13-2002, 05:36 PM No, actully I post when I am at work. :D I get a few mins here and there and check the boards. I am logged into most of the day. :P Jake Promatchracer 06-13-2002, 10:30 PM Yea you just set there and do nothing I know it Jake At least Scott is productive and make mittens and pot holders :D Promatchracer 06-13-2002, 10:35 PM Jake call me or E-mail me about racing MARS Okay Casey Promatchracer 06-13-2002, 10:39 PM When is your next race I will try and see about getting the time off to go Also what time does it start and what time does it normally get over Thanks Casey t3rc63 06-13-2002, 11:06 PM Sup Casey.Next race is next sunday and we usually start at noon. This will actually be our second race of the year. It's been hard with Kevin working two jobs and last week was the first time we actually worked on the track. There is no more wooden jumps on the track and we changed some other things.I'm sure anyone who comes will be happy with the layout now.Things usually wrap up around 4pm but we are working on getting things to move quicker.Thanx for the credit about beiing productive:lol: Unlike Jake,i actually work when i'm at work and i save the knitting and puter stuff for my own time:lol: Just kidding Jake,i know that if they would let you knit at work you would:lol: Hope to see you all soon and take care.Hey Casey,How's junior doing?I wish you and your wife have as much joy and happiness with your new baby as i have with my two:thumbsup: Scott(t3rc1)and KEEP ON KNITTING:lol: t3rc1 06-13-2002, 11:13 PM WOW.I guess i logged in under my alias. Now i will never make the elder ranks like the PMR AND RJT  Promatchracer 06-13-2002, 11:20 PM Hey Scott JR doing just fine Thanks for asking He is laughing outloud and just being a whole bunch of fun wieghs about 15 lbs Doc says he is in the 90th percentile of babies his age. He is going to be a big boy maybe even bigger than his old man Next Sunday I have to work but I will try and get out of it to go race Maybe even talk Jakey into it but that is a lot of LOSING for him in one weekend  Casey kingpin 06-14-2002, 12:54 AM Hey Jake. Still don't have the 'toon in the water. Supposed to rain tomorrow again, but I remember getting snowed on one year when we launched it. Haven't had any summer visitors yet so we really haven't missed it much. I was able to get a copy of the assembly intructions for the bolink chassis. Now I need to find all the screws, nuts, etc. Scott... Sorry to have started the quiltin', knittin' stuff:) Man that track in Wisconsin must be something. Almost worth a two day trip just to see it. We have been a little busy here in Amish country lately, sniffing out a terrorist. Haven't found him yet, but a picture showed up in the local paper that has everyone suspiscious. See Y'all later Promatchracer 06-14-2002, 01:01 AM cute on Kingpin :D Promatchracer 06-14-2002, 01:03 AM I meant cute one sometimes my brain forgets to tell my fingers to hit the buttons kingpin 06-14-2002, 01:34 AM Hi Casey. Yes, I am still up at 1:30AM. Now I know how you and Jake have so many posts. You could have edited your spelling rather than replying.:) I am disapointed though, I thought that it was worth more than just a "cute" :( See ya. Promatchracer 06-14-2002, 01:42 AM      rowle1jt 06-14-2002, 09:42 AM George, that was AWESOME! See thats better than a "cute" isn't it....... :) Actually I do knit, it is a big net, so that when Casey decides to throw one of his cars again, I can catch it! hahahaha! Jake rowle1jt 06-14-2002, 09:43 AM Hey look, Casey past me, but he cheats.  Jake t3rc1 06-14-2002, 10:08 AM Ok George,THAT WAS A SWEET PIC,Thought i seen that vehicle heading north of me to the Marquette area with a ford emblem on it:lol: I think that it is the new ford focus:lol: No problem on the knitting thing as i like to crochet and i do macramae sometimes.I think it is a blast to watch the other two whammys try to out do each other in posting, I guess i better get off here and finish my latest doiley.Talk to ya all later................ Scott(t3rc1) hock 06-14-2002, 10:10 AM Besides the soo and Escanaba. Is there any other places to race up in DA UP. Some people in green bay vacation somewhere up there and thought I knew  Told them i don't but knew where to find out:wave: t3rc1 06-14-2002, 11:52 AM Hey Hock,There is no place to race up here but Escanaba and the Soo and i think the Soo is done for the summer(carpet oval only)as far as i know. The track in Sands shut down and the one in Newberry is no more.Joel had one in Kinross but it got too much to keep up with all the BMXers using it for their bikes.:( There isn't much for tracks unless you go to Wisconsin or below the bridge, thats why Kevin and i built the one here in Esky.Hope this helps you out.See ya at the Tri Clone, soon.
