Casey The front end is the same as what we use. The hubs will work along with the axle. All the graphite and the t-bar is different. The motor plates will work. Later

Whats the matter Casey? Get a little scared when I brought out into the open that it was a single shock car? Personally I thought it was rather deceptive the way he worded, most people would probably think IT WAS a 3 shock car. :)

No not really I didn't even relize you had mentioned it wasn't a 3 shocker.
I am just interested in the front end and tires.
See ya soon

Well Mel (that rhymed!) a little more work and my X-15 will be ready to go. The last "piece" of the puzzle is the front end from you. I ended up finding a rear pod for a VERY good price and I jumped at it. I got shock parts from BJZ he gave me a real good deal and tossed in a couple extras, so that was nice. Through my e-mails with him I got to know him a little more, he says to say hi to you three, I take that as being you, Keith and Greg, so "Hi" from Big John Zubak! I'm not is a big rush, I should be more focused on off-road now that oval is done. Maybe I'm just real early for next year!

George, Were you home this weekend? I finally found your place from the river this weekend. We got our "new to us" speed boat in the water and sat in front of what I'm 95% sure is your place hitting the horn for a minute or two Saturday......to no avail. I figured that I would have gotten a dirty or look or something.... but nothing!

Hi Jake Big John is as fast as they come in oval. Last time I seen him I think was at Jackson in Jan. He is about your size except about a foot taller. Guess that is why they call him Big John Zubak. I forgot that he was selling Delta schock parts. Let me know when you want the front end. If you are an oval racer in Michigan this is a bad time of the year for racing. The sedan guys are happy cause they get to go racing outside even though the weather hasn't been real good lately. I might go race my TC3 somewhere this weekend. Not for sure where though.
Let me know if you get that file to make them custom faceplates for the turbo 35. I would like one and we could work something out. I would even take one for my Ott lite.
Hi to all you other racers and see ya around.

Hey Jake. I was down below for the weekend. Haven't you heard, those of us who live on the river, leave on the weekends so that all of you weekenders can annoy one another.:p
Actually, I had to take the wife down to visit her children, so that she could collect her Mothers day loot.:D
Sorry that I wasn't home to give you that smug "go away" look that I like to give the noisy ones. Try again some time.

05-14-2002, 08:55 AM
Mel, I will let you know if I get the file, I could some pretty cool stuff with it......not to boast. :) Where do you get your ott-lite, some have said that you can get them at Miejer??? If so what department? We could defintly work something out, you have done enough for me!

George, you can bet your bottom dollar I will be around again! Since MP doesn't race oval in the summer I need to get my monthly George "pick on me" fix, so if I have to give you a ride in our boat to get it then I guess I will! :) It's a nice boat. Real quite, which is nice, I don't like those idiots who run the through hull. It sounds neat for about 5 seconds, and after that I just want to swim out to there boat and beat them. Runs about 43-44Mph @5000. Crusie's at 30mph@3400-3500, its the 4.3 V-6. Personally I think that it is under propped. The pitch is fine but it needs a 14 1/2 not the 14 that is on it. And let me tell you, that sucker is cold blooded! Of course it was only about 40degrees up there this weekend. When are you putting the pontoon in the water?

Hey Jake When you play around on one for me, mine is a Turbo 35 so the face plate is different. Did you check that link to skipgear they have all kinds of faceplates for the turbos and ott lites. Check in the lamp section for the ott lite at meijer's. They are fifty bucks.
I would say that the prop on your boat is for pulling skiers. Did you play with the trim to see if it would go any faster. Just another thought how many people were in the boat. You make two so start counting from there. heheheheheheh! See ya:wave:

rowle1jt
05-15-2002, 08:42 AM
Hey Mel, yeah I was adjusting the trim, we test drove the boat with a 14.5 and I hit 45Mph @4500 with 4 people (5 if I'm two!). The 14 works fine, we will probably be better off with it anyway, pulling tubers and skiiers and such. Yeah I found the ott-lite at Miejer last night. I just can't afford to spend $50 on a light that I will use a few times a month. Maybe once I am out of college.......

Yeah I can toss something together for you Mel, I have a template to a T35, so thats not a problem. Got anything in mind?
Jake

Mel the T-30 and T-35 are the same template so they will all work
Jake sorry the computer I am on will not let me see picts
Sure it is nice though
On the promatch one I don't think he will have a problem with it
Might even get to sell them to him if he likes it and go mass producing
Just think of the comissions
class is starting so I better go
See Ya
I will try and call tonight

Casey, I am talking about the "Ott Lite" that a lot racers use, it is a compact light that folds up and is flourescent so it is more durable, puts out less glare, and throws enough light from a 13 watt bulb that you would think it is 100+ incadescent light bulb. They are $49.99 here in Miejer. I was expecting maybe 40, but most likely $30. If you find one in your "shopping sprees" then let me know..... :)

Mel, Carbon Fiber sounds good, please do let me know if you see or hear of a used "ott". :) They go for $50-$60 on E-Bay too. :(

A report of a fellow racer who has 1 day of practice on the newly
resufaced track.
a

I got to play at the Tri-clone last night, along with a few other brave souls. Despite being about 50 degress, one word...Awesome!!! The new surface is great!!! We ran everything from reds to blues for tires, and they all wore smooth. I even took some torn up reds and they smoothed out within 2-3 runs!!! Side note, this was with a 9-turn in. Did one run with a 19t.....even better wear!! We're thinking roll out for 19t should be about 2.75? It looks like no one had real detailed notes!!!! For stock I recall around a 96/38 gear with full stagger??  :D
