Hey RunninFree -- What size pinons are you looking for ?? We've got a fairly good stock of PRS gears -- I might be able to help you out. It's true that the PRS gears have been slow coming. I've had backorders with PRS too for the last couple months -- Tony has been doing a good job of doing what he can to expedite them, but they just can't keep up. Shoot me an e-mail: jeff@lefthander-rc.com or call me: 608-215-0380 Thx. terminator e 06-13-2004, 06:37 PM Tony had a great time racing with you guys last night, thanks for the awesome gears and i want to thank BRD for the horsepower. HOPE to see ya next week remember go low and stay low............ Billy W 06-13-2004, 06:39 PM Tony thanks for your support as well the gears worked wonderfully!!! Even after the "out of the partk move in the 3rd quailifier"......lol Billy @ Bandit Humpty 06-13-2004, 06:49 PM This is Jamie Raymer and I have to thank Tony and PRS for a great car this weekend and some awsome gears 2 records myself in one weekend it was fun and a win in stock to top it off Thanks again Tony Tornado_Racing 06-13-2004, 07:12 PM No problem guys. The most awesome thing about the PRS team guys is EVERBODY made the choice themselves. With 4 major gear manufacturers out there, they could pick what they want and ALL of them chose PRS. We appreciate all of the support from our customers, hobbyshops, and distributors. As Lefthander said we are running low on certain items but there is a batch of big pinions out to be anodized. We are selling spurs as fast as they come off the CNC's. All of our distributors will be fully stock within the next couple of weeks. Sorry for the delay guys, but product is on the way. GareySmiley 06-14-2004, 03:01 AM Eric Hutkay loaned me one of your spur gears this weekend. It was very nice to hear the car and how it moved through the corners rather than the gear noise. Where can I mail order some? My track dosen't carry them. Tornado_Racing 06-14-2004, 07:05 AM Hey Garey, I'm glad to hear you liked our products. That is another added benefit of the pro-lite gears - They are Quiet. As Garey noted above you can now listen to car in the turns for scrubbing without having to contend with the gear noise. BRDRACING 06-14-2004, 03:46 PM I would like to thank PRS (Mike, Larry and Tony) for the great gears! Tony helped out a ton this weekend to get my spec car going! My boy, Greg, and I both set new track records with the Indy cars at the Velo today . My time was .003 faster, so mine counted. :( My boy spun out at the start of the main so I won that one and also won in the Nastruck class. Any of those cars, you couldn't hear them. Nothing but a whoosh going by. The other guys without weren't even close. Good stuff, Tony. DaveW 06-19-2004, 09:41 PM Bob Great runs! Did you get a chance to run any of your new packs? Dave katf1sh 06-20-2004, 03:29 PM MONSTER CONGRATS TO ERIC ANDERSON! erick took the hard fought win with prs spurs and pinnions! victory is sweet! way to go bro! did you use the new SMC 35 amp matched packs as well? wooooooooooooooooooooooo Tornado_Racing 06-20-2004, 04:33 PM PRS would like to congratulate Eric Anderson on his performance at the Kimbrough 400. EA TQ'd 1/12th scale 19 turn by 2 laps and almost lapped the field for the win in the main. EA also ran Open Mod and qualified and finished 2nd just 2 seconds behind winner Daryl Silva. All of EA's cars were on PRS Pro-lite Spurs and Lightweight pinions. Keep in mind this was Eric's first trip to the Kimbrough 400. Thanks a bunch for representing EA! As a side note, great job Bob on the new records and thanks for choosing PRS! rockin_bob13 06-22-2004, 12:33 PM Yes Dave, I'd have to say that the car was fast as a total package. But in testing, the fresh batteries got me about 4 seconds worth of faster car. My boy Greg and I both beat my old record by that 4 second mark. So Dave, yes the new batts were nothing short of great! Thanks. :D Tornado_Racing 06-22-2004, 01:22 PM I will get the boyz from PRS to post all contact info needed. LOL jeepnyy 06-22-2004, 03:09 PM Hey Tony, Any word about PRS "stamped" spur gears? Are you guys coming to race at BMS for Firecracker Summer Spec July3-4 ???? Maybe you can bring some of your "new" cut/baby pinion gears & pro-lite (stamped, maybe) spurs. That will be awesome. Thanx Henry E. Tornado_Racing 07-03-2004, 08:12 AM PRS would like to wish the best for all of our customers and Team drivers attending the FireCracker race at BMS this weekend. BMS will also have the all new 81 tooth Blue Legends spurs and the 60 tooth Gas Car spurs. Good luck to all and full productions of stamped spurs are on the way! kevina250 07-04-2004, 11:31 PM A big thanks to PRS for the 60T Nitro spurs. TQ and Top 3 finishers were on PRS spurs in the Nitro .09 class. Great job guys! Tornado_Racing 07-14-2004, 07:43 AM Great job Kevin. Congrats to all of the winners and to all who support and run PRS Racing Gears. AAA Supply and Chatham R/C have the 60 tooth gas car gears and the blue 81 tooth Legends gears. These gears are stamped and legal for ARCOR competition. Chatham R/C now has the 58, 59, and 60 tooth pinions in stock. Man these suckers are huge but they weigh almost nothing. If you plan on attending the ROAR regionals at Chatham pick some up for you and your pals back home. Any track owner interested in these big gears can contact Dwight for pricing. Good luck to all who are attending the ROAR Regionals and see ya guys Friday! Joe Novak 07-22-2004, 05:37 PM Just wanted to say again that PRS has the best pinion on the market, just wanted to know why some of the pinions I have bought are not comming with set screws,is this normal or was there a mix up at the factory? Thanks Joe The Jet 07-22-2004, 06:37 PM Stamped spur gears I'm all for stamped spurs. That would take care of any doubt about the size ;) . Using my caliper on every gear get's old, even though I've etched the numbers on them, stamping them would avoid ANY problems. Later, Bret Tornado_Racing 07-28-2004, 04:55 PM Here is a bit of news for you guys. Brian Kinwald won on PRS pinions and spurs in 2wd Mod Buggy at the Hot Rod Hobbies Classic and in his XXXS at the Speedworld cup. BK also TQ'd both races. We are finally starting to get our gears over to the west coast! HEY JOE........send me an e-mail with your mailing addy and i'll get some set screws sent out ASAP. Stamped spurs are running through the shop. We are also going to stamp all current inventory as well. The all new PRS website should be up and going in the next few days. Make sure you guys check it out and i'll post as soon as it's up and running. tony@precisionracingsystems.com erock1331 07-28-2004, 04:57 PM Nice job BK !! Tornado_Racing 08-01-2004, 08:05 PM Just in: "PRS swept the ARCOR VA State Race" Jeff "Humpty" Helms, Steve Downs, and Jody Miller TQ and won at the State Race. Humpty won mod, Steve won 19 Open, and Jody won stock. Humpty and Jody also broke the track record. Great job guys and thanks for choosing PRS. erock1331 08-01-2004, 09:10 PM Nice work guys !!! Bobby C rockin_bob13 08-13-2004, 02:13 PM The reason I'm asking about the diameter, I'm wondering how much clearance between the gear and the ground I will end up with. Bigger gears are faster, and if these will work, I want to place an order for some. MK Race 08-13-2004, 05:04 PM rockin bob13, I think you can use this formula for outside dia. number of teeth+1 divided by the pitch = major dia 124+1=125 divided by 64 = 1.953" 128+1=129 ******** 64 = 2.015" 132+1=133 ******** 64 = 2.078" rockin_bob13 08-14-2004, 10:05 AM Thanks MK. jcovalracer 08-15-2004, 05:40 PM Hopefully, PRS "stamped" spur gears will be available soon. You won't need the equation to know which gear you have. It's been a long time coming. I hope they really will come out with stamped spur gears. rjm70 08-26-2004, 12:16 PM Tony are u going to be a Chatham this weekend. Ritchie Mac Tornado_Racing 08-26-2004, 12:22 PM I'll be there! Tornado_Racing 08-29-2004, 08:13 AM Congrats to Jeff "Humpty" Helms for the double track record last night at the ARCOR Open warm up at Chatham. Jeff added a second to the stock record and a few tenths to the Open 19 record. Jeff went on to win the main with the first ever 40 lap run in a stock A-main under the lights, but he had a bit of bad luck in 19 as Donnie Logan took the win. Great job to all and we'll see ya'll next weekend! rcavenger 08-29-2004, 08:29 AM question...when running a PRS spur and the ceramic diff balls (like the ones from RC4LESS), what kind of diff lube is best to use? I am having problems getting the diff to feel right. P.S. i am sanding the rings w/ 800 grit, if that makes a difference w/ the ceramic balls. vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2013, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
