kevin you will be disapointed when you meet me! ahahhaahhhhh

bring out them oval cars gas, solar powered or whatever. the deal is mike needs entries in order to recoup the costs the speedway charges mike. if you all dont enter it's bad for all of us. low turn out means no race next year.

oh just in case mike decides to have a 100 lap enduro or something i'm available for pit man! he he

I was disappointed when I first met you! You didn't look anything like a catfish! lol

Kevin I was massaging the gas car just this evening, I have got to get Yates back for last year! I would just be happy to finish with a car that isn't broken for once. I think I have 5 coming from here for sure so we are going to have a great time!

We got it out(the gas car potty brains) Saturday night in Jacksonville and wowed everybody with an ill handling car.

Yep I witnessed that with my own two eyes. He was clocked at some 6.4's which is very very fast for a 19t car and he was going into the corners completely out of the throttle and maybe pulling 1/4 throttle till the car would turn. I dont doubt that with a little track time and a setup for Hobby World the car would have gotten in the 5's. On that size of track thats cruising. I dont think I'd want to turnmarshall a track full of them either but it sure would look neat. Did I just say neat? There I go again.

yea, the car had a concrete set up on it and was waaaaaaay to tight for the asphalt, 5.5's would be no problem. I was running 3 pinks and a purple right front and should really have been running 3 magenta and a double purple, I don't know for sure but it's a great track to figure it out on.

well kevin, count me in for daytona. nitro .12 for me. i wil finally get a chance to run .12 again. yippee!!!

what organizations rules will be used?? gascar, arcor, focar??? need to get everything ready for the trip, asap. maybe the nc people can get together and drive down in groups instead of individually. that would save on gas for everybody. which hotel will be the the best to stay?

Those of us who have run it in the past have used the GASCAR rules basically. I ran the .170 restrictor an O.S. .12cv with the HPI pipe and a 17/60 gear and the car was fast. I think if we stick to the restrictor and the engine rules (1/2 HP) we should have a great time, the way Mike Bean has handled it in the past has basically been an honor system among ourselves. Just bring it and have fun!!

Gascar rules sounds good. As of now, Myself, James, for sure. Kevin and Stan ? From SC, Charlie, Sam, Jerry, and Brian. Roger and Brian R. ? And then 5 from Cliff's track. And a couple from Florida. Trying to get the Ala. boys to come and we will have a great time.

Hey cliff are you going to post a copy of the entry form on your website???

Echeconnee
01-19-2005, 04:15 PM
I will post one when it becomes available. I am glad to hear the brushless will be limited, don't worry they will still run around 19t speed in that setting. I ran around our track last night in the freezing cold and ran a couple of 5.9's and almost all 6.0's in a five minute race.

i agree, the limited mode will make for closer racing. the 5800 system is ballistic in open mode in a pan car, we run it w/ 6 cells at our track and they fly. i can't wait to get a good group of brushless racers together for a big event. yippeee!!!

so it is .12 nitro and brushless for me.

also will it be triple a-mains or single. i vote for triple a's, but thats just my opinion, it may not make a difference for me anyway, b/c i have to "make" the a-main first!!

will there be an onsite hobby trailer or somewhere to get parts??

sorry for all the questions, but just what to know what to expect.

Echeconnee
01-19-2005, 06:47 PM
the brushless class will be 4 cell, I am pretty sure. I will be running in NItro as well, in the past we have run 25 lap qualifiers and a 50 lap main but since it will be an oval only event this year maybe we will have time for longer races maybe even an A main with at least one fuel stop. In the past there has always been a great hobby shop on site and also a lot of guys have a bunch of stuff for sale.

The motor rule for 19t stinks, there is no motor rule in any other class. The ARCOR 19t motors should be allowed like last year. Oh well, I "was" looking forward to running 19t this year but count me out!

Man that kind of bit's;l well I guess I'm only going to run brushless. We have to deal with finding a room, traveling down there, and buying motors to run there, but it's his program so we have to play by his rules I guess. So much for running nastruck.

dont matter to me as long as everyone is running them . lol we ran the ARCOR motors last year and still got out run by a ultra bird lol.

i have 20 ultrabird 19 motors for sale and 20 stockers. 25.00 and 20.00 how many arcor 19 turns can you buy with 25.00 ???????????

same motor for everyone is awesome and cheaper! we will all have several bird motors in our boxes in a few weeks!

no more hand wound super mabuchi wrapped sideways 7 magnet motors for me!

does someone need a edge in the motor dept to go fast? he he he he

dont matter to me as long as everyone is running them . lol we ran the ARCOR motors last year and still got out run by a ultra bird lol.

that sums it all up right there!

if the bird motor is faster and cheaper why in the hell do you guys buy the 60.00 hand wound over priced and over hyped motors?

it's time for you guys to complain to the other series..arcor,roar and norcca.

tell them you dont want to pay 60.00 for a motor of the month any more! tell them track records are falling in florida using a 25.00 machine wound hand out motor! tell them you want racing to be cheaper! tell them you like the idea that everyone is running the same motor and that noone has a advantage with a suspect team hand wound motor. (18 1/2 turns)

stop buying those 60.00 sinkers and force someone to pay attention.
i have no idea why you guys keep fighting for more expensive motors?

if anyone needs a 19 turn or stock please email me or leave your name here. the first 18 names posted get the motors. i'm sure mike boylan will also have a "few" left over 19 turns from the birds as well? try it you will like it,i promise. stop buying over priced motors!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

off the soap box....see you at the birds!

There is absolutely nothing wrong with the Ultrabird motors. Odds are if you were planning to run 19T with an ARCOR 19T you'd pick up a fresh one for the race, and I know they'd be more then $25.00. So race already.

Strickland R/C Park uses the Ultrabirds in 19T, Mike Boylan uses them for his 19T events and FOCAR used them. The fast guys were still fast ..... but it didnt cost as much as if we had the other motors. Sure the ARCOR motors may make more power, BUT if everyone runs the same type of motor it comes down to tuning and that mystique of i got beat by a "special" motor so and so had built for him etc is eliminated, it gets rid of a bunch of problems. The other thing you may not have thought of is, the Ultrabird motors are very easy to tech.

Cliff, I know Mr. Bill has spoiled you with some awesome horsepower(builit motors). But, with a little tuning the ultrabird is just as fast. I will help you with whatever you need to get them up to speed, And when thay get there you will forget about the 60$ motors. All I ran at your track last sunday was the ultrabird, and you can't tell me it was'nt the fastest thing on the track.

Katfish... Send me the info on getting a couple more 19t. THANKS

guys if you want a bird motor before the speedway race i can ship them out no problem. if you just want a motor for the speedway race i'll hold the motor for you until than. katf1sh@earthlink.net if you would like them sooner, if not leave your name and i'll mark the motors for with your name for the speedway race. just let me know...again those who have been skeptical have been won over once they tried them. teching them is just so damn easy... these make life easier on the race promoter and the tech dept as well. if bean was out to make a buck on them or something like that he would be selling them ...it's just what we run here in florida..please i may even have a couple of my own motors to lend out if you can't afford one. whatever it takes to keep you guys racing........ shoot me an email and i'll see what i can do for you all.. thanks bill
