jimmie 12-03-2003, 04:55 PM With the low availability of foam tires it's hard making the switch.. Anyone with foam tires are you really getting more laps compared to when you were driving with rubber tires?

Dustin 08-11-2004, 11:20 AM same here but i use word, if im not in a hurry, that is what dustin is talking about i type faster than him so i tend to mess up a wee bit more.
Dude you lie to much,
I have a typing award here on my wall now and when I am at your house you have to look at the keyboard and besides you type slower than my dad. :jest:
Also when you first typed in your T4 at buy and sell it took you for ever and you kept misspelling things so I had to do it. Ask your brother!
Dustin 08-11-2004, 11:24 AM Ive never broke anything on my t4,You must hit to much stuff. My t4 is ready to rock!
Don't get me wrong the T4 is a great truck but everywhere I have been the #1 part that breaks all the time is the A arms. My friend has already gone through at least 6 in one season not including the summer.
jimmie 08-11-2004, 11:24 AM I know I must give up the T3. Not fast enough in corners. The T4 is faster. I'm tempted to try Losi.
Dustin 08-11-2004, 11:45 AM I got your letter Jimmie! sounds great. :)
TOYMINATOR 08-12-2004, 11:58 PM I know I must give up the T3. Not fast enough in corners. The T4 is faster. I'm tempted to try Losi.

Dustin 08-23-2004, 06:56 PM I just got my october issue of RC Car Action in the mail early.....actually it is very early considering the august issue is still on the newstands. Anyway in my new issue there is I think a....... 10 page section called: T4 vs MF2. I read through it and they took 6 pro racers and had them each try each truck. They concluded that the MF2 was a great truck and the only thing on the T4 that was better than the MF2 was that the T4 landed a little more stable. When they tested them they all got better lap times with the MF2.....ect.......ect.......... But they concluded that the MF2 was the better race truck of the 2 and was best for experienced racers and the T4 is best for beginers and experienced racers. They also concluded that the MF2 was not as fragile as the T4. Overall they are all great trucks, but to my suprise 4 of the 6 racers liked the MF2 better than the T4  , and the 2 that like the T4 just liked it better because is is more simple to drive.
Overall the MF2 was the better truck. :dude:
Don't get me wrong the T4 is an excellent truck. There were a lot of good points to it in the testing.
Blueskid 08-23-2004, 07:05 PM well befor I bought my T4, I went to RnL and drove other people's cars so I could get an idea of what I liked.. I drove 3 MF2's and 2 T4's, Let's just say that I have now owned 2 T4's.. I just prefer the T4... It's just a personal preferance.. that's all it is for anyone..
Dustin 08-23-2004, 10:19 PM well befor I bought my T4, I went to RnL and drove other people's cars so I could get an idea of what I liked.. I agree with your preferance. The 2 racers that chose the T4 chose it because it just fitted their driving style. :dude:
FishRC 08-23-2004, 10:39 PM There is more to consider. I got the RCCA as well and noticed one thing about the track they were on. It was VERY smooth and was not rutted, no potholes, etc. I know around here if you race offroad you better account for that and more. Also they were not allowed to tune the trucks but had to run to box stock setup.
I'd love to see them run on a west michigan track or a MARS track. Lets see real worls tests or the kind of track most racers will see. Then lets see them run the trucks.
Still the feel to the driver is going to be key.

the thing I didnt like was they tested them box stock, they could have at least used the same tires, the stock t-4 tires suck.
jimmie 08-24-2004, 11:38 AM Hey Twitch! I'll stop by Thursday to watch you run a couple heats. I need a FM transmitter. I sold the one I had. I been searching for a good deal.

jimmie 08-24-2004, 12:59 PM Who stock Losi parts? That MF2 is so tempting.. The GLRC trophy indoor race we had this year was won by a LOSi driven by Mr. Clean. I do remember place the second winner a T3

Riders carries parts for losi vehicles more than other places like david said. But you have to keep in mind jimmie that the MF2 does not break very much. My truck is very durible and my old MF1 was obviously very duable. I put my MF1 through lots of crashes and the only thing I broke was a tie rod end. Besides have you ever seen Mr. Clean break? I have talked to lots of people and they said that the MF2 does not have many weak points. The T4 is a good truck. Actually it is a great truck. But keep in mind if you get a T4 you will have to replace arms a lot.
Also keep in mind every losi/trinity part they order comes from horizon, in witch if the part you need to order is in stock they can get it in 2 to 3 days.
It's all up to you what you want but I am very happy with my MF2.
Dustin. :dude:
Blueskid 08-24-2004, 06:47 PM I will admit I have broken a few front a-arms since I've owned the T4.. but as I get better at driveing, I like the truck more and more.. There are so many things about the truck I discover the more I drive it that can only be described as "feel".. I have only been running the truck since december, and when I started I wasn't very good at all.. but I have ran out at rider's with stock truck 6 times now.. and I have had 1st place in the A-main every time.. Sooner or later I'm gona have to take it to a off road track and see how I fair now.. But even at first indoor I was in A-main every time.. never B.. I raced down at RnL twice, A main both times there.. I really like the T4.. It works well for me..

That race was won with motor batterys and driving,Not the truck. Mr.clean always has a good motor.
Dustin 08-25-2004, 11:28 AM actually i have seen mr.clean break quite a few times as a matter of fact also how can u say a truck dosen't break during races when u have never raced the mf2 and u raced your mf1 like a total of 3 times, and at that u weren't running half as fast as me jason or clifford, so with that i can say u haven't taken a hit half as hard as me, jason or clifford has and u probley won't in the near future so with the point that i'm trying to make is that your outlook on how good or durable a truck isn't backed by that many facts or test of trucks!. That is how i see your opinion!!
I said the MF2 doesn't break much by word and the MF1 I know doesn't break much because I raced it at least 7 times and if I wasn't racing it I was backyard bashing it ya idiot! And besides how much sleep did you get last night because you have either a serious atitude problem or a serious jealousy posting problem. And besides I was always running average speed making my notes on the truck feasable. :freak:
Dustin 08-25-2004, 11:39 AM Dude twitch, what the hell is your problem with your post. I back yard bash all the time. And the only reason you can beat me is because your mommy buys you everything and you have her credit card number so you can buy a brushless on the internet! :jest: :jest:
End of story :freak:
Dustin 08-25-2004, 11:47 AM Dude let me get somthing straught did u say the reason why i cant beat U, im sorry dude but are u serous if u are u need a reality check real bad
all i can say is WOW
:jest: :jest: WOW
No you might want to read that again. :freak:
hankster 08-25-2004, 04:06 PM twitch, unless you have something useful to add to the discussion I would suggest you take it to email. No one really wants to read this stuff. Thanks.
John Warner 08-25-2004, 06:50 PM JUST SOMEONE TRYING TO SET HANKSTER STRIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Why?? If you don't like things here, go somewhere else.
Cooter 08-25-2004, 07:36 PM Ya know what I think is you guys should stop fighting about the two trucks and put some dirt tires on em, charge some batt's and head out to west olive and throw em down in the dirt and put the two trucks and your driving skills to the test ya know as the saying goes "Put your money where your mouth is" or in this case where your fingers type, LOL. The new track is the BOMB check out the West Olive thread page #157 Post #2353 and #2354 for some pics from last weeks race it was a blast better than any indoor race hands down!!!!!!
Come on out you wont be disapointed!!!!!!!
hankster 08-25-2004, 07:46 PM Just as a note: twitch and the hanksterisgay ID that just posted is the same person. We can look up messages by IP address. Since they both are on Comcast (a cable connection) and both had the same IP address, we come to the conclusion it is the same person. Both have been banned, all of their messages have been deleted from the forum and their IP address has been banned which should prevent them (for the time being) from registering again.
DamageIncRacing 08-25-2004, 08:11 PM WOW! Miss a day and ya come back to this. SHEESH! Anyway, looks like my racing days won't start back up for a while, Johnny Boy. At least another month to month and a half. Any word on the meeting yet Warner?
Dustin 08-25-2004, 08:14 PM Yeah any word?
I am getting real anxious for this years racing season.
