If you are I have a secret weapon coming so I MAYBE (severe sarcasim) able to keep up with you guys.Lets just say this car will maybe carrying a lot of g-forces around the track.Hope to see you guys come-up. Later, Zack Joe Novak 02-20-2004, 10:14 AM Mk there was a lot of talking going on wed. nite about the track, couple guys said the track needs to go back the way it was and the dots have to go. Wonder if Allen had his ears open to any of the suggestions! zsamples 02-20-2004, 08:04 PM Here at j'ville derek thought it was a good idea to go to the dots but i absolutely hate them. I am going to try to change it back to like it was. I was told by derek that it was why the pontton guys quite comming because they like the dots but the way i've read things on here it's the other way around. Joe, i heard some talk how people have been complaning that the brushless is giving to the touring car guys that are running them. Is this true? Is it more of a fact that the people with brushless have got their car dialed to the track or has there been people that just have that much more speed? Just curious. Later -- Zack MK Race 02-21-2004, 12:16 AM Take the dots off the track and throw them as far as they can fly. The reason I quit going to Jville was we got out way too late. We ran our main at 12:30 and had a 2 hour drive home. Maybe if we could be the first main run so we could get out earlier would be better. When we can up earlier in the season, they put a class together just for us, I think they called it the "St.Louis" class. We wanted to run that with our rules and our guys would put in a little extra cash to make it interesting. zsamples 02-21-2004, 01:32 AM MK, I just got an email from Rob and He said prostock could run with wings and backs cut out! So if you and anyother pontoon guys wanna come-up we can kinda of format it to the rules you want to run! I know earlier in the season were getteing out real late and the nite was real onorganize. This finally ticked some guys off enough (inclding me) and now most of the time i rn the computer and last week we had 39 racers and and started late (due to last minute sign-ups and a little confusion because since it's midway through the season we are planning on running the races in reverse so oval classes have a chance to get out earlier but we were finished before eleven o'clock. I'm planning on running the races the day of the Payout so it will go smoother. Tommorow I'm going to try some different setups for the oval without the dots. Mike, did you mind it being all boards? I personally liked it that way. Anyway I hope you guys can come-up teach us up in j'ville a thing or two about oval. Later--Zack MK Race 02-21-2004, 01:35 AM The old boards setup was ok with me. I'm trying to get some of the guys to come up. zsamples 02-21-2004, 01:42 AM Mike you got a PM tmurray 02-21-2004, 08:38 AM Hello All, A couple of years ago back up at the old besco building, we used what they call nudo board, that is used in bathrooms. It has a Very slick surface, that we cut to shape for the inside of the corners. it was very effective. Cars would get on it the slide off till they regained traction. No flying pan cars and NO DAMAGE.... That was when we raced mainly oval, I think that we could make this work again, but we would have to make it removable. As we had it taped to the carpet. I think as thin as it is, it coupld possily be velcroed to the carpet for easy removal. I whish Allen would take them disk's out to the field were they belong, as it is, my pan car is for sale. Just my 2 cents. Tom Murray Jacksonville R/C Dirt speedway chairman and promoter. Jacksonville,IL tmurray@jlnc.net MK Race 02-21-2004, 09:16 AM Hey Tom, why not trade the pan car for a sprinter that you could then sell to me? :D tmurray 02-21-2004, 09:19 AM I think I'll wait for the new Custom Works Sprinter. Heck I'll buy 2 and give you one kelmy........Ya right.......... Later murr Joe Novak 02-21-2004, 12:31 PM Hey Zack the brushless sedans seem to be the way to go at Allens, they have won every A-main for the last 6 weeks until last wed Dave Hartman won the A against four brushless cars. So for the people who complain,I guess if you get your car set up right and get a hot motor you to could beat the brushless systems! zsamples 02-21-2004, 02:49 PM Joe, Thanks for the info! I put my brushless system in my tourning car so i could reset the car for j'ville because i changed just about everything trying to to make it handle at Allen's. And I'll tell you what in under 30 minutes with two packs i had that touring car just about perfect for J'ville. I have been running it in there everce last saturday when the rmeture came loose from the magnet and came out at least an 1/8 of an inch!So it was done. But it has been sent off to navak for repairs and im awaiting it as i type this. So i had to convert everything back to stock with six-cells. But next time i come over to Allen's i will have it in my car so hopefully i can set it up for there. Tom, I was planing on using those white slick things you were talking about tonite. I just have to find them and i think ill just stick some of it under the board so they don't move during the race. Do you think this is a good plan or not? Later -- Zack tmurray 02-22-2004, 08:32 AM Zack, Sounds like a plan... I belive the last time I bought some it was at Buchiet. Tom Ralf 02-26-2004, 09:37 PM Pontoongirly! You still out there or did you give up racin for a boyfriend? Do not have your e-mail address. Was wondering if anybody wants to buy a sprint car up there? When the season starts ask around. Brand new (built by Klyber!) with the good servo and a novak reciever, the TC shocks installed, and a brand new Novak brushless installed! NO dirt tracks around here! Not even an indoor carpet track! Couple of rel nice asphalt ovals but too cool for that yet. Anyway if you hear of anyone wanting to buy a new CW sprinter let me know. See ya'll! How did the float do this year? Ralf  pontoongirly06 02-29-2004, 02:34 PM heya ralf, eh no dad ish too busy...we won again...HEY BOB WHAT DO U WANT US TO DO WITH THESE BENCHES...THEY ARE IN OUR WAY! Bob W 02-29-2004, 09:24 PM Well Heather...If u find a place let me know. I have a lot more than 2 benches taking up a lot of space in my worlshop. Hold on to them till we get our new winter place to race in late 2004 Good thing your not looking for a place to put 240 ft of carpet? C Ya Bob Joe Novak 03-06-2004, 01:25 PM Hey Ralf what are you asking on the sprinter? Ralf 03-06-2004, 02:10 PM Have over $800 in it so would need to get at least $550. Thats is with everything including the brushless motor and all the electronics, you would just need a battery. E mail for pics. Ralf MK Race 03-08-2004, 01:04 AM Good day of racing. The track was better with the disks set out in an oval shape instead of squared off. Tough qualifying now days. Mark and Klyber both in the B-main. Good racing. Both mains were pretty clean racing too. One mistake by Mark was what cost him the B-main win. A-main was a good race too. Top 4 cars all ran 63 laps and the Jacksonville BIG MONEY winner Rob, finishing 5th with a 62. Results show Franko as a DNS because he forgot something called a transponder, but we know he finished 3rd. MK Race 03-08-2004, 01:10 AM Looks like the mud slinging, I mean dirt talk, is starting already. :D Some sprint car "Hot Shoe" is challenging a Mod Late model guy to see if he can run with him? I think this  is all he's going to see as the guy puts him another lap down. Need to repair a section of damaged fence and am going to paint several rooms in the house that is still for sale! If anyone is interested in the sprint car I could bring it along and save shipping! Ralf MK Race 05-03-2004, 11:42 PM Hey Kelm did you pick up a sprinter yet?Hey thanks to Ralf I have one coming now. That means SOMEBOTTOMS, I mean, somebody's car might be for sale before the end of the summer. Might have it ready for this Saturday. pontoongirly06 05-03-2004, 11:46 PM oh god, kelm with a klybernized car...greattttttttttttttttt thats all the world needs MURRAY I SUGGEST U RUN! MK Race 05-03-2004, 11:53 PM I know, that's the first thing I'll have to do is go through it and fix everything. tmurray 05-04-2004, 08:56 AM Mikey, About time, Glad to hear that you got one. The sprint class racing should be awesome.. Are you going to run brushless? I think that after you run one all this summer, you'll love it..(No Maintenance).. Espescially on the sprinter with the motor/endbell stuck out in direct line of the left front tire, no more dirt in the brushhoods.. Later, Tom MK Race 05-04-2004, 09:00 AM Tom, I'm going to make the sprint car my main effort this summer and might bring a hired shoe for the late model. What's a good starting point on gear ratio for the brushless at Jacksonville? I need to stock up on my 48 pitch PRS gears. Joe Novak 05-04-2004, 12:52 PM Hey MK glad to hear your O.K from the spider bite, really looking forward to getting to run with you on the dirt oval. REFLEX1/12 05-04-2004, 05:43 PM MK, Mr.Bottoms is ready I know you like the low side of the track and I hope you do well this year:) but, Just because you drive a few hours I WILL NOT let you WIN so you will come back the next week sorry...:( gear ratio for J ville is 96/50 will be good for you I mean for guy who drives like you do...I can't wait to see you ...... Kevin "1" MK Race 05-04-2004, 05:50 PM Just the way I like it.:) Good competition. Now that gear ratio, is that for the exteme outside groove? tmurray 05-04-2004, 09:34 PM Mike, Gear, Better have that guy make you some Steel 48 pitch if he can, I don't know if the Alum, ones will hold-up? Ratio, 96 or 93 spur, with anywhere from a 10, 11 or 12 tooth pinion. You'd be safe starting out with a 11/93 I like to try to get the spur up out of the dirt.. Who's the other Driver?? I was helping Allen the other day, and he said that you had been in the crash house, I hope all is going well.. I might try to run a 4 cell brushless, just to see what happens.. Later or e-mail me, Tom Murray Jacksonville,IL tmurray@jlnc.net MK Race 05-04-2004, 11:59 PM Tom, went to the doctor today and he said it's looking a lot better. He said something about a skin graft that I didn't like, but he said it's healing pretty good. Remind me to show it to you. What do you mean wear out? PRS gears are made from aircraft aluminum and have a good hard anodize on them. Picked up a 93 and a 98 spur, going with the 98 first.
