nope, running an 0700 w/ the SSE2 chassis. yes, running the KSG swaybar. i was trying out some new things before snowbirds, but after racing at springfield, i would probably build the car up different for the next time. the track is rougher than i thought i would be, and slicker....or, so it seemed to me.

there is no question about slick and rough ! but all in all not to bad, as long as DOT deflector is in good working order. I myself would like to see them become extinct. Sure do miss the old pontoon track! :wave:

Hay guys need some help. Now that I'm living in Champaign I'm looking for some carpet oval's to race at after the birds. It seems like you guys have a few different places you run at. Where are they and what's there race day/night. Looking to run 19t or mod.

We race at Allen's RC'S in rochester Illinois on wed. nites and sunday afternoons. He does run a brushless pancar class that he might let you run a 19t in with those guys. Wed. nite doors open around 5:00 and races start around 7:00 and on sunday doors open at 10:00 races start around 1:00. There is a lot of good stock pancar racing done on sunday when the pontoon guys come up!

S brown? as in Sonny Brown? cool..this is Scott Johnson. after i get back from the birds, i would definetlt be up for some 19T racing at Allen's in Springfeild, or anywhere else close by. i moved to the peoria area about a month ago, so it looks like we are in the same boat...

Oh no, he's getting closer. What's up with you Sonny? No more track in Pontoon so we have been going to Allen's track in Springfield. Actually Rochester, but our guys would just get confused if we didn't tell them Springfield. I think Jay and some of the guys might be up for some 19t.

We might have to change the return trip eatery to Hooters, so we can watch Sonny in action.

When are the birds starting?

Just wondering what you guys think about Allen stretching out the oval? Makes for some tight racing.

Haven't raced on the new track yet. I hear the turns are narrower than before so you don't want to touch any of the dreaded dots, or it's straight into the wall.

If Allen can get the real Ozite next year and get rid of the dots, he will have one of the top tracks to race at. Period.

Passing is just a little harder with the track longer. And yeah hitting the dots is just a treacherous as before. Plastic in the turns would be nice and make passing easier. But it is what it is.. Just for any one that has not been to Allen’s track it is a very nice facility, and it's worth the trip. :thumbsup:

Mike your right!!!!!! wth the ozite and plastic that would be one of the best tracks in the midwest!!!!!! All my Sundays are tied up this year anyway ,but who knows next year :)

Hey Joe, I HATE plow disk!!!!!! No time to save a hard hit to the wall. The disks need to be layed out in an arc rather than squared off. If I'm going to hit the wall that hard, then I'm going to run my old car to keep from tearing up the good car.
Maybe he could have some plastic cut in circles that the disks could be centered in?
