That just means he will be crying  when he loses the record. Bob W 12-22-2003, 11:58 PM I am not the one going to springfield in the middle of the week to get his track record backhttp://smilies.sofrayt.com/%5E/c0/biggrinroll.gif Don't forget the Dot deflector. Allen got some new dots in yesterday and they look like thishttp://smilies.sofrayt.com/%5E/c0/rofl.gif Where are we racing at this weekend? MK Race 12-23-2003, 12:07 AM I'm not going up to take the record. I don't care about stinkin records. I'm thinking about going up to Jacksonville Saturday night so Andrew can race and stay over night. Go over to Allen's on Sunday. Maybe. ROBSKI 12-23-2003, 12:27 AM are they racing at allens tuesday night?if so is anone going? me and gary are think'n about it. mike if your not going maybe we could use your batteries, motors, and last but not least your DOT DEFLECTORS MK Race 12-23-2003, 12:35 AM Hey Rob, I talked to Gary tonight and he wants to go. I'm leaving around 2:30 and should be up there around 5. I have extra batts that you can run. Wait, you already have good batts. What about the Grinch???? Can't he go farther than Wood River? Mark N 12-24-2003, 01:29 PM That Is Still Not 64 LAPS  :jest: :jest: Ralf 12-25-2003, 06:04 AM Hope you are having a Merry Christmas MK ! Am checking out a track on Swannonoa River Road this Sat.! They are supposed to be racing outside all year (weather permitting?), supposed to be in the 50's so I'll go by and see what is up. Hope to be coming into St Louis sometime in mid-late Jan.. Will let you know, maybe I can work in a road trip with you guys. Happy New Year!!! :hat: Ralf ps HEY PONTOONGIRLIE! You on the road yet? Should I be on the lookout when I drive into town? Merry Christmas!! MK Race 12-26-2003, 06:16 PM Hey Big Head, I mean Bob, Ponderosa called and said they found your ears. They put them on ice at the salad. Bad thing is, some old guy thought one was a piece of lettuce and it now has ranch dressing on it, with a few teeth marks. Don't worry, nobody will notice. Bob W 12-26-2003, 07:02 PM Good thing, I will need them to hear the start of the race. Were are we racing at this weekend?http://smileys.smileycentral.com/smiley1029.gif ROBSKI 12-26-2003, 11:09 PM had a good time at ALLENS, i give the track a  , sorry for being in the way MK, been called a lot of things but never a bobbles  , need to work on my setup i guess. MK Race 12-27-2003, 12:13 AM Bobbles????? Called you lots of things, but never a Bobble. Bobble I had was more like a brain fart. :D rcavenger 12-27-2003, 01:26 PM hey! this is Scott Johnson. just wanted to let all of you know that i have moved to peoria, and will be heading down to Springfeild sometime soon to race. any basic setup info you can send my way? i talked Tony Mitchell last night, and he said the doors open at 11:00 on Sunday, racing starts around 1:00. that works out great for me! Are there any weeknight races? MK Race 12-27-2003, 02:26 PM Hey Scott, yes they race on Wednesday nights too. The carpet isn't true Ozite, Tony said it's like the carpet in Galesburg. I'm running greens on the left side with a black rf and aqua on the right rear. I don't think you'll have a problem getting dialed in. It is a nice place to race. The guys from Pontoon have been racing there this winter. Ralf 12-28-2003, 07:24 AM MK - Hope you had a nice Christmas. Went by the local track yesterday. There were about five guys practicing, no races the weekend after X-mas, "too may guys out of town." Track itself is very nice, smooth asphalt, about 250' run line, 6 degrees banking. All the guys there had trailers! Looked like they all were running H-D's but they run 6 cell spec stock, 6-cell stock, and 4 cell mod. Have ordered a couple of 6 cell trays for the 510 chasis' I have. Hope they are as nice a bunch as I fell in with at Pontoon. Happy New year! :jest: Ralf  jake86 12-29-2003, 10:46 AM hey mk where you coming down this weekend or next. :( Joe Novak 12-29-2003, 06:17 PM Hey Mk,I thought maybe I would throw one of my brushless into my adx and let your boy run the brushless class. Hows that sound! MK Race 12-29-2003, 07:42 PM Hey that's an idea Joe. No wait, that just wouldn't be right to put him out there with those guys. What, with the speeds they are going, somebody could brake a car real bad. I 'll just set him up to run stock, that way he can race with me, Bob, and Kevin. Bob W 12-29-2003, 09:46 PM http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/23_4_52.gif And that would be different from Sunday__How? http://www.esmileys.com/mig/albums./miscellaneous/67.gif Looks like Mark will be racing a KSG come this weekendhttp://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/23_5_6.gif tmurray 12-29-2003, 10:04 PM Hello All, Just wondered who all might be coming on Tuesday to Allens R/C Speedway.. Later, Tom Murray Jacksonville,IL. tmurray@jlnc.net MK Race 12-30-2003, 12:06 AM KSG, Bob you sold your car!!! :D Can't make it this Tuesday, need to take a break. Bob W 12-30-2003, 01:10 AM No...not ready to sell it yet. I found the problem with my car. The batteries in my dot/car deflector had gone bad. I must have over worked It in the Qualifiers, because it sure didn't work in the main.http://smilies.sofrayt.com/%5E/9/biggthum.gif infrontracing 12-30-2003, 01:19 AM I heard a guy with a Kellogs car whooped super stock ass Sunday at Allen's. MK Race 12-30-2003, 01:28 AM Nothing against the Kellogs car, he didn't do anything on purpose, first time for him racing. Just thought the heats could of been setup different. NEWS FLASH: 10 year old beats touring car guys, first time out!!!!! :D infrontracing 12-30-2003, 01:49 AM Yeah ....it sucks to be the new guy. I guess you gotta start somewhere. When the class is full of experienced racers and there is one new guy you cant do much else with him though. MK Race 12-30-2003, 09:06 AM Yeah, but, at least you can look at the people racing and try to group the heats by ability. I don't mind getting bumped and losing laps, but the cars are a little expensive. When I go to race at Jacksonville, I will run my old Hyperdrive because I know who I'll be racing with. I'll pull out the old tires, no reason to tear up the good tires. Everybody wants to have fun racing and tearing up stuff isn't fun. I'll come back to race again because I like racing with you guys, but if that would happen to some other out of towners, I don't know if they would ever come back. Then they tell there buddies at home not to go to that track. I know that might not mean much to some of the racers at Allen's, but I think Allen wants to have a place where guys from other tracks want to go to. Bob W 12-30-2003, 09:18 AM Mike ..when did your boy get a touring car? Is that what he got for Christmas? :D Joe Novak 12-30-2003, 12:52 PM I think it is great you guys come up from st. louis area to race. It makes for some good a-main races to watch,I also think allen needs to seperate the more talented drivers from the new ones, like Mike says it is not fun tearing up your cars, because a new guy can not hold his line. If your car is not handling get it off the track don't take other people out. Thats just my thoughts! ROBSKI 01-01-2004, 10:00 PM FIRST OFF anyone from pontoon going to allens sunday? WHEATHER BAD = GOOD DAY TO RACE. 2nd,for a new guy sometimes it just is not EZ to move out of the way.some time they are doing their best to stay out of the way of a track record setter but it is not always so EZ for them.it took me a long time to learn to move over smoothly.maybe some people where just born PRO. hope to be rac'n sunday(be there,be there ,be there) MK Race 01-01-2004, 11:19 PM First off, we are going down to the other Springfield on Saturday. 2nd, I do respect the guys that move over in qualifying. I know most people go out there trying not to wreck others. I have also heard from others, while trying to set heats up at Pontoon, that I don't want to run with so in so because of this or that. We tried to set the heats up so they were the best for everybody. That is why I'm taking Andrew down to Gene's this Saturday so he can race with their sportsman guys that are closer to his level. Also be going to Jacksonville too so he can run with them. 3rd, forget the track record stuff. I know "some" people think that's all we race for, well it's not. It's for the fun. When we don't have fun we quit. I have seen lots of people quit because they weren't having fun. That's why I'm taking Andrew to these places to race. It's not fun getting run over or having to move over very few laps by the faster guys. It's not fun to hit somebody that just bounced off every wall and break something on your car. Cars are getting a little expensive now days. That's all I've got to say about this. ROBSKI 01-02-2004, 04:35 AM trip to genes a bit to much windshield time for me. was not pointing any fingers.just sometimes we forget  rcavenger 01-02-2004, 06:42 PM well, i am thinking about making the trip down to Springfield this sunday. i went to the website, but there was no Jan. schedule posted. i am assuming that there is a race sunday? Also, i need some track info. 1) is paragon allowed? 2) what compound of tires seem to be working in stock class? 3) what is the track footage, length and width of the outside? 4) is the track smooth, rough, somewhere in between? 5) are u allowing the trinity 4 mag motors in stock? 6) what is the min weight there? min ride height rule, etc.? 7) are u setup to use personal transponders? any info is greatly appreciated! i have been totally revamping my car, have some *interesting* setup ideas...;) MK Race 01-02-2004, 07:43 PM Hey Scott, here's some answers. 1)No, just TQ stuff, has it in stock. 2)Track has good bite, not as good as Ozite though. Green LF, Black RF, Green LR, Aqua RR 3)Just a guess, 36x70 outside, maybe 120 line. 4)in between. 5)not much has been said, we have run them. 6)weight? min height 1/4" 7)yes 8)rollout around 2.00+-.2 *interesting* setup? oh no!! Track record is 64@4:02 We won't be there this weekend, should be back next week. Ok, now we're even from the help you gave me up at the Nats. :D Tell Allen you know me and not that Mitchell guy. He'll take good care of you. Is Ron calling it quits. Hope not. rcavenger 01-03-2004, 12:54 AM thanks Mike! too bad i won't see u there sunday. will anyone else from the pontoon gang be there? yeah, its true. last i talked to Duley he was getting out. i bought his comm lathe from him. rcavenger 01-03-2004, 01:20 AM oh, forgot to ask...are there tables and chairs already there, or do i need to bring my own? JBRACER2 01-03-2004, 01:28 AM Dont need table or chairs they have some. rcavenger 01-03-2004, 11:31 AM Great! Jay, are u going to be there? rcavenger 01-03-2004, 12:40 PM i was just measuring my car, and 1/4" seemed like alot of ride height. went to the ROAR website, and the min. there is 3/16" pre-race. Is 1/4" just a track specified rule? infrontracing 01-03-2004, 09:57 PM Ride height at Allens has not been enforced yet. Im not sure if they will check after points start or not. Usually not an issue though. ROBSKI 01-03-2004, 11:06 PM rcavenger i don't know of anyone from pontoon mak'n the trip (seem's most are heading west other than north) ALLENS track is nice and worth the trip, first time there may need a little DOT setup.make the trip and be ready for the next time.not a lot of time to work on setup between rounds!!! so it will take a trip or 2. it will be worth the time if you go back. good luck at GENES boys, make the trip rcavenger, good place to race and we'll see you there soon ski rcavenger 01-04-2004, 01:08 AM sounds good , Robski. i will be down there tommorrow, provided we don't get a blizzard between now and then  track opens at 11 AM? MK Race 01-05-2004, 02:05 AM So Scott, what you think? rcavenger 01-05-2004, 09:00 AM had a good time! car was BAD when i got there, but it came around...64-4:03.?? in the main.
