Mike, Mel, is it going to happen this year? Will there be enough time to get in a 100 lap main for the Nitro pan cars?

I know it's in March, Some people have to plan ahead.......... I need to know what the exact dates are so I can plan ahead, I run a track of my own and don't want to have a conflicting schedule.

The daily race schedule last year was GREAT. Lots of practice, no rushing thru the heats, Of course M/B Racing always puts on a good show.
On-road this year??

Since Brushless is getting bigger and bigger, what are the brushless rules going to be for the spectacular this year? Will there be a 4300 stock brushless and a 5800 19t brushless class. Who is running .12 Gas this year?

Just thought Id break in and mention that the 2006 Daytona Speedway Spectacular will also serve as the second SouthEast regional qualifying race for the 2005-2006 United States Pan Car Championships. The top 3 finishers in 10th scale Stock, Modified and 19T as well as 12th scale Stock and modified will all qualify for the national finals to be held at a site TBD in mid 2006

I notice brushless and Nitro was not included. That's one less thing I have to think about. This is my favorite race of the year and has been for the past few years. I hope it doesn't change much with this new development.Just thought Id break in and mention that the 2006 Daytona Speedway Spectacular will also serve as the second SouthEast regional qualifying race for the 2005-2006 United States Pan Car Championships. Nitro and Brushless are optional non-championship classes. It won't change whether or not those are run

When are you going to include them in a Championship class and what happen to 19t Nastruck?

Honestly, with Brushless that will probably be a championship class for 06/07. Nitro oval...I can't really say. 19T Nastruck...that may be the 19T class for next year, but that will be decided once we get into 06. The Speedway Spectacular is still going to run all teh classes that Mike Bean intends to run for this year. The reason that 10th stock 19T NASCAR and Modified as well as 12th stock and modified is for simplicity's sake. We are still trying to establish the USPCC and if we have too many classes that may water down the potential entry numbers both at the regional level and at the finals as well. All of this I am taking under consideration for next yeat but for this year the championship classes are as I outlined.

uspancarchamps
12-11-2005, 03:29 PM
I will say though that even with that in mind, the class listings at the Daytona Speedway Spectacular will remain unaffected. Whatever classes Mike wants to run, they will be run. The only difference is that the top 3 in the particular classes I listed (10th stock, 19t, and modified, 12th stock and modified) will be qualify for and be invited to the US Pan Car Championships finals.

katf1sh

there isn't a modified class at the speedway race. noone in florida runs flat asphault open mod. stock and 19 turn is it.

I probably should have put it like this though:

Those racing in 10th scale stock, modified, and 19T as well as 12th scale stock and modified will have a chance to qualify for the US Pan Car Championships. Top 3 in those classes qualify

any word on classes for this year in nitro? .09 or .12 or both?

brushless, which system and what mode?

also, has anyone noticed that the roar carpet oval nats are on the same date? will this hurt turn out this year?

i had a blast last year, and penciled this race in for this year, as soon as i got home. it's well worth the 10hr. trip. maybe us "northern" carolina boys can make some more noise this year!! lol

Echeconnee
01-03-2006, 11:04 AM
Hope you Carolina boys do make it again this year, maybe you can qualify on the same lap this year! lol. I had to say that, I never do that well. Hope to see y'all again this year. I really don't think the carpet nat's will hurt the race at all, as most of the drivers are from the deep south and run asphalt.

stock, 19t purple motors. Brushless not sure if 4300 or 5800 but it has been 5800 in the past. Nitro .12 engines, 12th scale 19t and 19t truck and it would not surprise me if there was a sprint car class.

bigdon18
01-06-2006, 02:28 PM
sprint class is what i was looking for,,lol.. i know the ideal has been talked about.
