MB racing and all that the name encompasses knocked one out of the proverbial park with this years event. The track was smooth as glass, The traction was THERE, and the pitting inside the actual Nextel cup garages was none other than awesome. How many other r/c racers in this country can lay claim to that? I dont know what Mike Bean had to do to secure that nor am I sure that I want too but it was worth what ever he had to do. Hope it didnt hurt too much Mike. ClutchRC 03-26-2006, 08:31 PM Just got home after a Good Steak and a Cold Brew (Thanks Mr. Bean!!). On behalf of All the MB Racing Crew THANK YOU to everyone that came to The Speedway Spectacular 2006 edition and made the race what it is. Thanks to Kenny (Scarecrow) Holmes for calling the races and moving the show along!!!!! We hope everyone had a good FUN time with us this weekend and enjoyed themselves. CYA at the next ONE!!!!!! ClutchRC 03-26-2006, 08:34 PM Looks like an awesome turnout. Almost 130 cars. It will defiantly be on my schedule for next year. Sony that woulkd be GREAT, maybe you can bring some other Freezing racers to the Sunshine state with you? It was a blast as usual!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! hurricaneracing 03-26-2006, 08:58 PM Huge thanks to Bean and the gang. You ran one heck of a show, I think everyone had a great time. Looking foward to next year. Jeremy wade 03-26-2006, 09:57 PM Great racing!!!!!! MB racing does it again. Great show as always. I put this one on the calendar every year. It is SPECTACULAR!!!!!!!! Echeconnee 03-27-2006, 09:52 AM Hey, don't they have 2 car shows a year @ the Speedway?:D Just like everyone has already said, THIS WAS ONE HELL OF AN EVENT!! Kudo's go out to MB Racing for putting on this great event and Ken (Scarecrow) Holmes for calling and running the races, smooth as silk, as always. As nice a track as Strickland park is, I hope this event will always be @ the Speedway, no matter what it costs! Even if Curt is there next year we will still come and race:eek:! On another note, my son Eric turned 10 the day we ran the mains and did really well for his first "big race" and only second time on asphalt. Plus his repair bill was under 15 bucks! That would make any crew cheif happy! Again, this was a SPECTACULAR event, The 19t drivers put on a great show as did the Nitro guys, stock was nothing less than exiting as were the trucks. 12th scale, well what can I say, those are always a thrill to watch and King Bean master of the 12th scale class was dethroned by the Oval Master Himself, Mike Boylan who took TQ and the win. The Brushless class was a blast and there was a lot of telent there as well, yea, the fast guys are still fast but everyone else was not far behind and everyone but my buddy Donnie had a good time in the class:tongue:. I can't wait for next year! See y'all @ some of the FOCAR races in brushless. Donnie_99 03-27-2006, 10:13 AM Great Race best one yet. Thanks to MB Racing for putting it on every year . had a great time . Really enjoyed the new location of it . Donnie amusicwiz 03-27-2006, 12:35 PM Thanks for a great race! (Mike, Curt and Mel et al) We had a great time and enjoyed the great competition. We got a lot to learn about racing "on-the-flat" but still had a great time and learned more with every trip out to the track. A great bunch of racers enjoying a hobby that we are all passionate about! Looking forward to next year! Hope we can get the rest of the Lauderdale crew up there next year! Bob Fl Flash 03-27-2006, 01:23 PM It was a SPECTACULAR weekend of racing :) Lottsa Fun Too! Thanks to Mike and the crew!!! Lee  rowdyrj 03-27-2006, 03:26 PM File this one away in the memory book because it was a great weekend of racing. Had fun with the truck drivers and my brushless racers. There was a good mix of people that normally run on caps with the guys that run on foams. oval racer 2 03-27-2006, 03:48 PM What A Great Show!!! I Had A Blast. I Let The .09 Race Slip Away, But Thats Racing. Congrats Andy Thompson On The Win. Man If I Could Have Only Heard The Pa System On The Stand. I Did Not Know I Had Got Bach To 1st After The Earlier Incident, So I Was Trying To "lay It Down" To Get Back To The Front, But That Got Me In Trouble, Oh Well. Like I Told Andy, That's Why We Run The Races And Not Just Qualify. Congrats To Kevin Andrews On His Win In .12 Nitro. I Got My Car Better On Sunday, But Still Just A Tick Off. Thanks To Mb Racing For Improving This Race. The New Surface Was Awesome. I Only Used One Set On My .09 Car For The Whole Weekend. I Started At 2.35 And They Were 2.30 After Running All Weekend And The Mains. I Also Only Used 5 Tires Total On The .12 Car. Now I Have Alot Of Foams That I Will Not Use Until Next Year. Congrats To All The Other Winners!! Cant Wait Till Next Year. Later Echeconnee 03-27-2006, 04:40 PM It's a fact, James had a BAD A$$ .09 car! One thing i think mike bean and curt and mel do better than anyone else does is track prep. the track was awesome...traction was kick azz all weekend long and the surface was just like stricklands. pitting in the garage was great and i think getting something inside to let us hear the PA system would make it even better. kenny holmes did a fine job as usual and it was nice to have a tech area to put your car on. very nice raffle and i thank all the sponsors who provided the goodies for us to win! i have won a few races from time to time but finishing 4th and on the same lap as pedano, salvas and boylan is at the top of my list. the A main in 19 turn was awesome and i will be talking about this race for a long while. thank you mike bean for taking on the tough job of running a killer race for us. RCThunder 03-27-2006, 07:52 PM I am glad to see racing alive and well. We have Troy Merideth, Ernie Bucci, Fuller, now Jason Alderman all racing again. These are the good 'ol days! Despite my Nitro car giving me a hard time I had a great time. My only complaint was the wind tunnel I pitted in. :drunk: Maybe next year you guys can call the GOVT. and order some warmer weather. But the fact I was in the NEXTEL cup garage with my RC cars made me forget it was cold. Kevin & James thanks for the help with the Nitro car. I wished I could race more with you guys I had a blast. And a huge thanks to anyone who helpes me with my .12 car it was greatly appreciated.  ps.
