Do we know how many 4300 or 5800 brushless races are going to show up. What about nastruck.

After talking with several racers this weekend this sounds like a fun event, and I would like to attend and race with my Florida pals again. The only thing holding me back is the battery rule. I do not see IP3800's on the flyer. Since this is now an accepted ROAR legal cell will it be legal to run at this event?

Do you have any idea how many gas racers are coming and what class they are running in?

Think the Snowbirds deal was in part related to timing of the entry form release. I have a feeling a sponsor conflict also had something to do with it as well. Anyway I hope Mike will re-consider because i would really like to come down.

I talked to MB this morning, there will be no change to the battery rule. They gotta be blue IB 3800's and his reasoning for this is as follows: The IP are deemed to be far superior cells than the IB's and The majority of racers that are expected to attend the Speedway race have already bought blue batteries as a result of the Snowbirds battery rule. So that's it in a nutshell. I hope that is not going to deter anyone from attending this awesome annual event. See you guys @ the Beach!!

Really! I got my GTB 5.5 Velocity motor in today, along with 2 GTB Controllere and 5 4300 motors. Hey Bean, let's have a speed run in Daytona!!!

Racer 2- don't know on the Nitro. Its an old, old, old, Chris-o-link. I just think I am outclassed by much better cars. I might be able to pull a rabbit out of the hat and run it, just not real sure right now.(it a toss between nitro and truck)

Rod- we will be taking the trailer on its maden voyage to Daytona!!!! We gotta have somewhere to pit. But the trailer needs a little work (tires, grease the bearings, fix the A/C) just have to see how the money is. :confused:

hey guys
there are 2 great track in FL to get practice in for this race. Strickland rc park in ormand beach and Hobby world in jacksonville.

Jax is a great place to practice for Daytona, yet it is much more smooth than Daytona. Geez, it's not even March yet:confused:
