Sonny B 02-14-2006, 08:26 PM After talking with several racers this weekend this sounds like a fun event, and I would like to attend and race with my Florida pals again. The only thing holding me back is the battery rule. I do not see IP3800's on the flyer. Since this is now an accepted ROAR legal cell will it be legal to run at this event? David Butts 02-14-2006, 09:26 PM Do you have any idea how many gas racers are coming and what class they are running in? I always have gas, Not much class though. Echeconnee 02-14-2006, 09:37 PM Bean said no to the red cells, I wish he would reconsider, but I am sure he has his reasons. They weren't legal @ the Snowbirds either Echeconnee 02-14-2006, 09:38 PM No pooting upwind BUTTS!I always have gas, Not much class though. Sonny B 02-14-2006, 11:38 PM I know Mr. Bean wants to continue our 1/12 scale battle from the birds. Think they could have thrown a blanket over us for the last 2 minutes. LOL Think the Snowbirds deal was in part related to timing of the entry form release. I have a feeling a sponsor conflict also had something to do with it as well. Anyway I hope Mike will re-consider because i would really like to come down. Echeconnee 02-15-2006, 09:31 AM I will see if Bean will reconsider, but in the meantime, don't let batteries hold you up, pack your bags and you can use some of my new one's to race. OK yer out of excuses. lol. Didn't you run blue one's @ the Birds?I know Mr. Donnie_99 02-15-2006, 11:10 AM no battery changes its already printed on the flyer!!!!! mmccoy 02-15-2006, 01:16 PM Sonny, blanket it was more like a washcloth. Great racing I know Mike would love to see ya down here. Like Cliff said we will get you batteries. Come on down. Bruce rc4less is bringing some extra leg braces. I plan on running brushless and 1/12th. Echeconnee 02-15-2006, 02:06 PM I talked to MB this morning, there will be no change to the battery rule. They gotta be blue IB 3800's and his reasoning for this is as follows: The IP are deemed to be far superior cells than the IB's and The majority of racers that are expected to attend the Speedway race have already bought blue batteries as a result of the Snowbirds battery rule. So that's it in a nutshell. I hope that is not going to deter anyone from attending this awesome annual event. See you guys @ the Beach!! Echeconnee 02-15-2006, 02:09 PM Mel, brushless? You too! Bean said he was running it as well, this is going to be one tough competitive class!!! I am bringing the 43 and 5800 so if bean get's too far ahead I will just switch motors, lol or get him back in Nitro! Bruce will probably be wearing the braces he shows up with. Like Flair, he's getting a little over the hill! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, cough, hack, spit, oooooooooooooooSonny, blanket it was more like a washcloth. Great racing I know Mike would love to see ya down here. Like Cliff said we will get you batteries. Come on down. Bruce rc4less is bringing some extra leg braces.
