Should be a good crowd this weekend with everyone getting ready for next weekend, if the weather holds out this should be the biggest crowd we've ever had. Also looks like we might have some people running Pro Stock, that would be awesome we'll set some new records. See everyone Sunday

I have an older ADX car. I think it was there first design slider car. Basicly an L3 conversion. It has a pod you can run centered or offset. Still kind of new to the oval thing. I have only run about a half dozen times at Lakes Region RC.

Here is a rough setup, everyone is more than willing to help while you are here but, green or white rears, blue and green front, 30 wt oil, silver springs in your side shocks 80 wt oil in your center shock, light springs in your frontend, rollout around 190. That's a good start point and you can tweak it from there. Hope that helps. See you Sunday

Thanks Bob that should help get me started. Should I be running the pod offset?

RTOURANGEAU

The track is not scheduled to be open on saturday but, there might be people up there practicing.
I would run the pod centered not offset but that's me.

That is too cool Brandon. Looking forward to meeting you. Where are you from anyway? Never mind after I asked the question I realized it is right on the screen in front of me. Make sure you introduce yourself to me I will be the guy upstairs with the parts cabinet. We have plenty of room for at least 75 drivers. We are expecting around 70. We will set up more tables and chairs on Saturday if we see we are running out of room. Not a problem.
And Keith, by the way you wish you could drive as well as I do  When you come back Cameron will give you some driving lessons. He is driving in 4 cell stock now. The kid is amazing, for 8 years old I have never seen so much natural talent. He must have gotten it from me

LOL I always knew cameron would be better than you!! LOL, As for him beating me...well that might have to go on hold for quite a while. I don't see myself racing anything in the near future. I would have to buy batteries, and motors, plus i have always wanted another chassis, and then you tack on school loans, and hopefully a NEW truck payment when i graduate. But I could always do a rent-a-ride.???? Someday little man, brian, not cameron. Hes gotta be taller than you by now???

Bob T,

I have a question about the March Meltdown. What are legal motors in 19T and what are the height/weight rules? Thanks!

I am thinking about going. I don't know, I got invited because we are season ticket holders. You would think we could get in for free. I think it would be cool to watch. We may go, I will let you know if we go.

This is for Brandon, who posted some time ago. Brandon, don't change too much on your car just yet for the Barre race. While the Barre track is a little tighter than LRRCS, the banking will make up the difference from your current set-up. We've raced there before and only had to make minor adjustments to the front end to get hooked up. E-mail me if you get the chance. sgtrags03249@yahoo.com

Just got back from cleaning and setting up the track. If anyone has extra extension cords we could use a couple to run power to the extra tables. We are all set up for 50 spots upstairs and 30 downstairs. Expecting a full house, should be a great weekend of racing. Please try to use the area in front of the doors for loading and unloading only. As soon as you get your stuff inside, move your car out back please. We need to keep the road open for guys to get their stuff inside. If we run low on parking I made room in the field for another dozen cars.FOUR WHEEL DRIVES ONLY It is going to get muddy on Saturday but hopefully will freeze up for Sunday. Be careful in the mud and remember to wipe your feet :p

I plan on heading up Sunday for the trophy race. I just tried to get on the site for directions to the track. Just my luck the web site is down for some reason. Any one have some directions to the track? I will try again later I guess.

rags902
03-06-2004, 10:27 PM
Brandon,

Take I-89 all the way to Barre. Take Exit 6 and there will be a flashing yellow light in about 2 miles (it's on a steep downhill). Take a left and in 1/10 of a mile, turn left on Sherman Rd. At that point, you won't miss all the cars.

You may have to wait for tomorrow for the results to be posted. we never finished until almost 8:30. I think the total number was 85 drivers . Awesome day of racing. Record crowd but no track records in 4 cell stock. They did bump up the record in 19 turn though. Thanks to everyone for coming. I hope a great time was had by all.
