For those of you who weren't there, Bob T's chassis died on Sunday. May she rest in peace Bob. Or in pieces as the case may be. I've never seen it before, but Bob broke his chassis completely into two pieces. It could actually be folded in half. It is hard to tell from the picture, it just doesn't do it justice, but if you go to our website you can see a picture of the bottom of his chassis. It's not pretty. :( www.barrerc.com

I'm sorry But I'm so New at this .I'm trying to Get my car to where it Handles Very Nice and easy to Drive. I know it is alot harder Then Just Saying. But Bob gave me a decent setup to start off with and work from there. Going to be early again on Sunday. and see if I can get things to come together. I will not rest until I get it to Handle the way I would like it to Handle. No matter what it takes . I Just go Frustrated .Whick is Not good. But I was Much Happier yesterday , My stuff came in from RC4LESS yesterday from Bruce Tripllett . My face Plates for my 35 and My new Hat .That should Help LOL . But anyway I have to Buy some Blue Springs for the Side Shocks . Bob has the Silva Center springs. So That is all I need to do Now. But I'm going to go Thru The front end of the car . And make some Spring changes and not what I had before the changes in case it don't work. But I will Not reast until I get it figured out. I have a Keyboard and a Mouse and a Power cord for you on that PC. Have a great day . And also I hope Bobs Chasis Rests in Peace. That was the worst I have ever seen. TTYL Thanks for the Advice and it is Taken Trust me . The right Rear tire Where it connects to the hub was snapped Bad. So there was my handling Problem. But anyway have a good one

I tried to respond to your post on Tony's site Bob, but I am on aol and got the usual message. You are probably one of the few who dont have problems on there. Thats because you are not on aol. We will just have to stick with hobby talk and hope they dont make it any more confusing.

Hey guys. I am in California on vaca, but saw that you are talking about a points series starting next week. Not sure if it was mentioned, but next week is the Daytona 500. I would think that it would be a small crowd. (I will be sitting infront of the TV :p )Maybe the series should start the following week?

just a suggestion

Shawn

The fact that next week is the Daytona 500 was mentioned. That is a big part of the reason we are starting next week. We still need to support the track every week. I will be taping the 500 and watching it Sunday night in half the time by forwarding the commercials. I will be supporting my local track on Sunday as I do EVERY Sunday. However if you decide you just can't wait to watch the race you wont be out of the points because we are going to allow 2 throw aways.
Please make every effort to come race on a weekly basis. The numbers were down this week for no particular reason. We can't allow our numbers to slip, we are barely getting by now. Please make every effort to come out on a weekly basis and we will reward that effort by putting the points winners name on a permanent plaque or Stanley cup style trophy at the track.

Cudos to you for supporting your local track Brian! But I don't think a post like that will make me want to support the local track more. I know that I am not there all the time. 3 out of the last 4 weeks I have been out of town. Also I am not always around with family stuff etc. Things like the 5 min/100 lap doesn't help that either. After I dropped off Chris I didn't get home until after 7:30. I know that you were trying something different, so I didn't say much, but that sucks. I have an hour ride home. I know others travel so I am not whinning. But adding to the time kills me. By the time I get all off my crap out of the truck back in the the house, shower(man paragon stinks :jest: ) and eat dinner, it was like 9 and I still had stuff I had to do before Monday.

I wish I knew a way to get attendence up, but I really don't. The tracks that I have gone to out of the area(CT etc) seem to get more of a crowd because they are a hobby shop as well. I know this isn't possible with Barre. So getting attendence up is definately challenging.

Also, don't get me wrong, You guys do an awesome job on running the track! I never here anything but good things about the track. When I was at the winterblast I heard a lot of good things spoken about the track. And I really don't do anything to help so I am not complaining or criticizing! If I was closer I would gladly help out other then sundays to clean up etc. But it just isn't possible. If there is something I can do to help let me know and I will try.

I think That we are doing the right thing , We need to make every Effort to Make this work. I have Not Only spent alot of money to Get into this , But Every Place that I race I support in one way or Others . I Usually try to get other People involved as Well . As Rick Gillian Did for me. And I have Never been Happier with what I have done. Racing is a Big Part of my Enjoyment. I think Now is the Time to ask Everyone What would Make People be more attracted to the Track or the Facilities? What do we have to do ? Hobby shop is Nice , But What more do we need . We Have things from Silva , And Rays Misc Parts Etc Bob Great Job on Bodies , We have the X2 Stuff, Plus Beefy Products . Normally if you make a Big $ Purchase Like a Kit you can call Ray if he Carries what you would Like Be more then Glad to send it to your House or Maybe Brian Might even Deliever it . I Met Ray Just once But he seems Like a Great Fair Price Guy That Loves the Hobby , That Likes to Support it . I can Guarantee you this He's Not retiring early from his Business. But I guess that is that . The Only thing that was strange was Sunday I finally Made it to the A Main , And All of a sudden My car Got a Bad glitch Was going on all it's Own Thanks Brain for Trying to the Different Crystals , I went Up stairs and it Did not Glitch one the Whole Race , That really Brought me Down Quite a bit . I made it and Did not even Make a Lap . That Hurt Pretty bad . I have tried it here at Home and Again Not a Glitch. So Anyone have a Answer to What Happened . I have Not had any Problems at all . Since I got rid of that HyperDrive. Love that Silva Rear Steer. And the Small Adjustments thanks to Rick and Bob . I appreciate the Track it is a great Atmosphere and My Daughter Holly is going to Have a car this week . She Got a Racetech G Force . That I bought I think his Name is Dan Thanks for th great deal. And Look foward to Many more Weeks Of Fun and Enjoyment Thanks again Guys you are doing a great Job. And Bob is doing a Great Job on the website and I appreciate all Bob and Ducky and all the Truck Guys and all that do the Work on the Track and the Up keep on the Track . Thanks again Wey

My apologies to Shawn if it sounded like I was coming off with an attitude. That was not my intention. I read back through my post after and I could see how it could sound that way. Sorry to anyone offended.
We REALLY do appreciate you coming on the weeks you are able to attend. Sorry about the long day when we did the 5 minute heats and the 100 lapper. We just wanted to try something different. I think we all had fun, but I think we all agree it just takes too long. I wouldn't want to do it again unless we cut back to just 2 heats or something to save time. All we need to do is boost our weekly numbers. We want to give something back to thank everyone for making the extra effort every week. If you miss a couple weeks you wont be penalized either. We are going to allow 2 throw aways in the next 10 or 11 weeks whatever it is. We will end the points season the week before Thunder Road starts up the first of May. Then when we switch to Friday nights we will do a summer points series for those of us that race all summer. Then we will start up again in the fall for the winter series.
Our plan is to either mount a wall plaque with the points winners names posted for all to see for all eternity. (or until they close us down) Or we may get a large cup something like the Stanley cup to display at the track. Whatever we decide it is just a way to say thank you for all the extra effort.
We love you all and we miss you when you aren't there. If we could ever get everyone there at once we would have to put on an addition.

Tried hooking my tv up at the track today to try and pull in channel 5 for sunday. I can get channel 3 clear as a bell, channel 22, channel 33, but I'll be damned if I could get anything on channel 5. I had wires run everywhere trying to pull in the signal. I even ran a wire out to the roof trying to use the metal roof as an antenna, nothing. guess I'll just have to tape it and watch it sunday night. Look at the bright side, no commercials

I can't believe the March Meltdown trophy race is just 2 weeks away. Hopefully the weather will be a little better this time around so some more of our travelling friends can make the trip. REALLY hope the Mighty Midget can hop the pond this time  by the way the lake is frozen over if you want to take a more direct route  Hope to see a full house the next couple of weeks.

We will allow the four magnet cans in Barre. We haven't seen a big enough advantage to them to disallow them. After all it is a stock motor. We will be checking for stock arms as we did for the Christmas race.

Dan, guys are already running the binary motors and we don't want to make people have to buy new motors. We don't see any big advantage and roar approval is just a matter of time anyway.
Ed, I am not familiar with the handouts at the birds, I didn't go. But unless there is something different in the end bell other than the purple color, I don't see why that wouldn't be a legal stock motor. stock can + stock arm = stock motor

I agree with you Brian, but we don't want people to go out and buy the binarys just to race our race, almost everyones got monsters or green machine 3,there's only a couple of us over here that has binarys, we are still talking about racing them at the trophy race, i'll keep you posted.
