Noon would be even better. Guess it would help those who have to travel 3 hours to get there...to be able to get home at a reasonable hour.

If he does the noon time, I may just have to show up once or twice.

Curt 12, I'm sure Charlie, Ken and I will come loaded for both 19 and stock and just see how it plays out. We have been running a lot of 19 turn at 0 degrees and it has been very competitive, but very easy on the motors, and very close to the open 19, we'll just have to see how it shakes out.

See you Friday,

AJS

I too had a great time at AJ's even though my results were not the best. Great place to race and AJ always does a good job of organizing and running the races and ususally has most the of the racers requirement, parts, supplies and refreshment on site.

Great racing, I don't think I heard a cross word all weekend.

My only dissappointment was the lack of attendance, hope that next time more people are able to attend.

Thanks again.

Nice update Curt. It looks like Phil B. needs a couple ounce handicap added to his car. Just like in the real sedan races. You win-you get a weight penalty. L.O.L. Hopefully I and several others from up in Cheeseland can make it down for the next two races. I have only been to A.J.s once, but I had a blast. Nice run too Cory.

Looks like 6 of us coming from St. Louis. Looking forward to racing with Phil B and the Iowa guys again.

How late will people be there Friday night and could we leave our stuff there overnight?

Curt12
01-20-2004, 02:41 PM
rcavenger, I talked to AJ today, he said the binary or quad mag stock motors are NOT legal for this series.

MK Race, The first race of the series we had about 10 guys on friday night, we ran 2 quals & the mains. I am shure if he has that many again he will stick to that program. Depending on the turn out for fri we might get out of there around 11:00. Yes leaving you're stuff there is OK I have done it several times along with other people, & I have never heard of any problems.

So far it looks like there is going to be a big turn out this sat!

Curt :D

Hey Curt, what about the 40 ounce rule? Will he tech the cars with the new weight, or still at 38 ounces?

Cory

Curt12

Cory,
Good question, I'll check & get back ASAP. Is that a new ROAR rule?

MK Race
01-20-2004, 06:18 PM
Thanks Curt, we are leaving St. Louis around 7pm and should be up there around 11:00 - 11:30 Ihope.

AJS, are you guys going up Friday night? If so where are you guys staying?

Curt12
01-20-2004, 09:13 PM
Well if I would have looked in my ROAR newsletter, it's in black & white on page two about the car weight

Just talked to AJ. Since we are almost 3 races into the series he is not going to mess with the rules. He wants to keep everything the same as the last two races.

Car weight: 38oz

In regards to the new roar rule 3-28 about having two side dams on the rear wing, not going to enforce it.

One side dam on the rear wing IS legal.

Curt

i agree the weight shouldbe 38 still.. all of the tracks i race at in state, and the ones outof statei have been to this year, everyone is keeping it 38...... they wont change till the start of the 2004 carpet season.. seeing records and such would have to reset... and also points... good call see u boys sat.. should be a few wisconsin guys comming down to

MK Race, I don't think our group is going to make an appearance until Saturday morning, it's only about 2.5 hours from my house. Just trying to save a little money so we can buy more RC parts. LOL.

See you Saturday.

Of course I will be running my "avenger jr" wing! What is up with two side dams anyway? or two more ounces of weight? Looks like a great race day is shaping up!

rcavenger
01-22-2004, 06:23 PM
LOL...Phil B, did u here about my Avenger wing? i called it that on the CAD file i sent to Dusty K. and Danny M....but it is the KB version...as in 'Kenny Burgschultz legal', so it has 2 side dams. one side is a LITTLE smaller than the other.... :dude: LOL

hmmm...may have to make that right side even smaller...is 1/8" too tall????
