I was hoping to make it tomorrow, but there's just too much wrenching to do on this slow car of mine.

Hopefully I can make next month's race - good luck to all!

An extension cord maybe...but no tables and chairs. There is plenty of pit space.

Thanks to everyone at aj's, had a great time, a personal best and I have to apologize to Guy for the mean take out at the drivers stand, I think we got locked together and I couldn't turn the car either way, it looked like your car was on the 31 degree banking at Daytona, LOL.

It was good to see some new people there as well, including but not limited to MK race and his group.

Thanks again to Curt12, for all his support and helping get this series going and keeping us up to date. Also thanks to Phil of the Race Factory, Chris S. for the use of his motor in the main and Kenny D. for chassis advice.

I can't make the last race so good luck to all and I hope the series continues next year.

Hey AJ, don't worry about it! I think we must've been hooked together too.I thought it was pretty cool when I saw the roof numbers on my car facing us instead of up! It's a shame you won't be able to make the last race.I talked to the "other" AJ and he said he will have another series next fall.

Just curious what the motor rules are for 19T? Are you going with ARCOR motors only? Or any 19T?

Curt12
02-14-2004, 02:11 PM
marig, We are using ARCOR rules adjustable 19T. Hope to see you there. I am working on a second car to get started in 19T, let me know. I'll run 19T with ya.

OK one week to the last race & 19T 1st place is still up for grabs.
I don't know about you guys, but after all the reading i have done lately about the snowbirds I am ITCHIN to get on the track!!

I hope to see the everyone from Iowa, Central Il, Sothern Il ,Wisconsin & Nebraska(phil). It will be a great day of racing!!!

02-16-2004, 12:07 AM
Well, it's looking doubtful right now - too much work still left to do in the dyno room at the Team RoadRunner shops. :) Just tired of getting left behind all race long, and I'm really working hard to get competitive in the motor department.

Not sure if I'll be free this Saturday as it is - will know in the next few days.

I guess that makes me a definite maybe.

Congrats to all the main winners TJ, Terry & Kameren.
TJ & Terry had the new Trinity cars dialed!!!

And can't forget the big points winner in stock, PHIL B.
As far as 19T its a best 3 out of 4 series, Bill was the only one to run two races, thus no awards were given.

I hope everyone had as much fun as I did with this oval series. AJ is talking about doing it again next year

Next stop for me is Vinton IA. March 20 & 21. Danny B & the gang put on a first rate show. See Ya there!!

Hey guys just a thought. Wanted to get some feedback on an idea I had for next year.

How about two 2day races instead of four one day races.

And a hotel rate discount near the track.

AJS, Sorry I missed Vinton it sounded better than last year.
Congrats on the big turn out!!

Sorry you couldn't make it, we had a great time, my racing in the mains just pretty much sucked, but had a good time anyway.

Personally, the Saturday race worked for me, I usually run every Sunday at 2 of our local tracks, but that is just my opinion, I would like to see what others think as well. It is such a nice place to race, it is just a same that the turnout was so low.

Good Luck on getting something going.

PS: Let me know if you are going to try and run Storm Steel this summer, you would have a great time. Keep watching the IROAR website for dates etc.

Later AJ

I think the 2 day races are a GREAT idea. I think it would draw more cars and a lot of guys like to get away for a couple of days and it would give us time for a little more practice. We don't get a chance to run on bigger tracks and are kind of in the hole on car set up. We are running the mains by the time we get the set up and gearing figured out. Dave

AJ's Raceway '04 - '05 Oval Season.

Dates are set.
Sat Oct 30th
Sat Dec 4th
Sat Jan 8th
Sat Feb 12th

I'm Shure Stock & 19T are the main classes.

Other classes would depend on number of guys.

I think 19T 0deg. would be a good class for that size track.

I will post more details as soon as I can get them.

Fire away if anyone has any questions.

I have just been coordinating schedules for the winter, Charlie and I will not be able to make the 1st race, there is a 2-day race in Omaha that weekend and at this point our plans are to head out there.

I'll keep you posted on how the rest of the dates work for the guys around here.

Hope to race with you soon.

Also, are the quad magnet stock motors legal for this years series? they werent last time...

Curt12
10-25-2004, 08:36 AM
rcavenger,

19T is open timing.

If I am reading ROAR rules correctly quad mag for stock is NOT legal. But it IS for 19T.

I wanted to try 19T 0 deg but don't think it will happen for the first race.

I talked with a couple more people this weekend that are planning to get to AJ's for the December 4 race.

Hope there is a good turn out, it's always lots of fun there.

See you then.

PS: Curt try and get AJ to let us run 19-0, there are maybe more guys that would be interested in coming over and running.
