 S Brown. he told me at nats that the rules would most likely be changed. BTW, are u going to DeKalb this weekend?
01-23-2004, 09:04 AM
I think so. Waiting to here from the rest of the crew and see if we have enough to run mod.
If not enough mod, anybody planning on running 19T this weekend
01-23-2004, 09:19 AM

Burbs: cool thanks
01-23-2004, 08:35 PM
I was hoping to make it tomorrow, but there's just too much wrenching to do on this slow car of mine.
Hopefully I can make next month's race - good luck to all!
01-23-2004, 10:22 PM
do i need to bring a table/chair/ext cord?
01-23-2004, 11:52 PM
An extension cord maybe...but no tables and chairs. There is plenty of pit space.
01-24-2004, 11:57 PM
Made it home ok, hope everybody had a safe trip.
Thanks Phil  , nice racing with you guys again.
Must have been that LUCKY Race Factory sticker I put on? :D
01-25-2004, 01:17 PM
Thanks to everyone at aj's, had a great time, a personal best and I have to apologize to Guy for the mean take out at the drivers stand, I think we got locked together and I couldn't turn the car either way, it looked like your car was on the 31 degree banking at Daytona, LOL.
It was good to see some new people there as well, including but not limited to MK race and his group.
Thanks again to Curt12, for all his support and helping get this series going and keeping us up to date. Also thanks to Phil of the Race Factory, Chris S. for the use of his motor in the main and Kenny D. for chassis advice.
I can't make the last race so good luck to all and I hope the series continues next year.
AJ
01-25-2004, 10:04 PM
Hey AJ, don't worry about it! I think we must've been hooked together too.I thought it was pretty cool when I saw the roof numbers on my car facing us instead of up! It's a shame you won't be able to make the last race.I talked to the "other" AJ and he said he will have another series next fall.
01-26-2004, 06:29 AM
I believe I displayed the meanest take out, Sorry Bob. You are welcome Mike! A lot of fun even with the extra fenders.See almost all of you next time
01-26-2004, 09:03 AM

01-27-2004, 06:16 AM
Cool Bob, gotta remember that line about winning it in the first corner. If anybody were to finish ahead of me, I would want that to be Mike!
01-28-2004, 12:03 AM
Awwww, thanks Phil. If there was one person that I wanted to beat so bad it was, BOB. I would have had to listen to him brag all the way home. Had to listen to him about the TQ anyway. So what!! :D
That was some fun racing there, didn't hear anybody complaining about the racing, well maybe Bob.
Great place to race.
02-14-2004, 08:54 AM
Just curious what the motor rules are for 19T? Are you going with ARCOR motors only? Or any 19T?
02-14-2004, 02:11 PM
marig, We are using ARCOR rules adjustable 19T. Hope to see you there. I am working on a second car to get started in 19T, let me know. I'll run 19T with ya.
OK one week to the last race & 19T 1st place is still up for grabs.
I don't know about you guys, but after all the reading i have done lately about the snowbirds I am ITCHIN to get on the track!!
I hope to see the everyone from Iowa, Central Il, Sothern Il ,Wisconsin & Nebraska(phil). It will be a great day of racing!!!
02-14-2004, 11:03 PM
So marig...will Roadrunner be out in full force for the final race?
02-16-2004, 12:07 AM
Well, it's looking doubtful right now - too much work still left to do in the dyno room at the Team RoadRunner shops. :) Just tired of getting left behind all race long, and I'm really working hard to get competitive in the motor department.
Not sure if I'll be free this Saturday as it is - will know in the next few days.
I guess that makes me a definite maybe.

Congrats to all the main winners TJ, Terry & Kameren.
TJ & Terry had the new Trinity cars dialed!!!
And can't forget the big points winner in stock, PHIL B.
As far as 19T its a best 3 out of 4 series, Bill was the only one to run two races, thus no awards were given.
I hope everyone had as much fun as I did with this oval series. AJ is talking about doing it again next year
Next stop for me is Vinton IA. March 20 & 21. Danny B & the gang put on a first rate show. See Ya there!!
03-26-2004, 05:19 PM
Hey guys just a thought. Wanted to get some feedback on an idea I had for next year.
How about two 2day races instead of four one day races.
And a hotel rate discount near the track.
AJS, Sorry I missed Vinton it sounded better than last year.
Congrats on the big turn out!!
03-26-2004, 11:25 PM
Sorry you couldn't make it, we had a great time, my racing in the mains just pretty much sucked, but had a good time anyway.
Personally, the Saturday race worked for me, I usually run every Sunday at 2 of our local tracks, but that is just my opinion, I would like to see what others think as well. It is such a nice place to race, it is just a same that the turnout was so low.
Good Luck on getting something going.
PS: Let me know if you are going to try and run Storm Steel this summer, you would have a great time. Keep watching the IROAR website for dates etc.
Later AJ
03-27-2004, 08:01 AM
I think the 2 day races are a GREAT idea. I think it would draw more cars and a lot of guys like to get away for a couple of days and it would give us time for a little more practice. We don't get a chance to run on bigger tracks and are kind of in the hole on car set up. We are running the mains by the time we get the set up and gearing figured out. Dave
09-16-2004, 06:15 PM
AJ's Raceway '04 - '05 Oval Season.
Dates are set.
Sat Oct 30th
Sat Dec 4th
Sat Jan 8th
Sat Feb 12th
I'm Shure Stock & 19T are the main classes.
Other classes would depend on number of guys.
I think 19T 0deg. would be a good class for that size track.
I will post more details as soon as I can get them.
Fire away if anyone has any questions.
09-16-2004, 06:37 PM
Thanks for the infor Curt, it's time for me to start coordinating everyone's schedule and see what works. I agree that the 19-0 would work really good at AJ's.
09-16-2004, 06:57 PM
Thanks Curt.
09-16-2004, 11:51 PM
Do you think there would be any interest for a touring car class on the oval? I for one would like to run it.
So what does everyone think?
10-12-2004, 10:07 AM
Curt, you ole cap racer, how's it going?
I have just been coordinating schedules for the winter, Charlie and I will not be able to make the 1st race, there is a 2-day race in Omaha that weekend and at this point our plans are to head out there.
I'll keep you posted on how the rest of the dates work for the guys around here.
Hope to race with you soon.
10-12-2004, 11:15 AM
AJ, Thats cool, I think there will be a throw away race again this year.
I need to get to AJs this weekend & talk to him about the races.
Have fun, that looks like a sweet track.
Does this mean we are going to get a head start on Phil also?
10-18-2004, 05:04 PM
Doors open 8:00am Races start at NOON. For all four races.
Classes: 4 cell stock, 4 cell 19Turn & 6 cell brushless novak 5800ss.
On the brushless class they are going to run late model wedge type bodies.
sounds like there are 6 or 7 guys that are going to run it.
For the 4 cell classes AJ is going with ROAR rules for the series.
4 cell weight 40oz
Entry: 15.00 2nd class 5.00
It will be a best 3 of 4 races with one throw away.
10-24-2004, 03:43 PM
Is the 19 turn open timing or 0 deg? just figuring out what i should build up...
10-24-2004, 03:53 PM
Also, are the quad magnet stock motors legal for this years series? they werent last time...
10-25-2004, 08:36 AM
19T is open timing.
If I am reading ROAR rules correctly quad mag for stock is NOT legal. But it IS for 19T.
I wanted to try 19T 0 deg but don't think it will happen for the first race.
10-25-2004, 06:40 PM
This friday the 29th oval practice NOON till 9:00pm.

Hope to see everyone on Dec 4 for the next one!
11-01-2004, 06:18 AM
Sounds like you guys had fun, had a great turnout in Omaha, just can't be in two places at once!
11-01-2004, 01:01 PM
Yea that was some good racing. December 4th can't come soon enough.
11-01-2004, 06:44 PM
Phil, Congrats on the big turnout this weekend!! That place looks really cool from the pics I've seen.
AJ said he is going to do friday practice again on dec 3rd.
11-13-2004, 08:07 PM
Curt, I'm working on people from this area for the next race, most I have talked with will probably only be able to be there Saturday.
Lots of them are interest in running 19-0 if it works out.
Charlie, Phil. B., Ken, myself and others for now.
I'll keep working on getting the word out. Dubuque tormorrow and I'll spread the word.
11-13-2004, 10:29 PM
AJ I've been trying to convince several people from WI to come down on the 4th since it does n't conflict with Trackside.Hope to see the Iowa gang at the Leftover on Thanksgiving weekend.
11-17-2004, 09:59 AM
I'm not going to be able to make it to the Left-over Classic this year, family obligations in Ohio, but I know that several of the guys are going to try and make it.
I talked with a couple more people this weekend that are planning to get to AJ's for the December 4 race.
Hope there is a good turn out, it's always lots of fun there.
See you then.
PS: Curt try and get AJ to let us run 19-0, there are maybe more guys that would be interested in coming over and running.
