I found some great Kingpin lube. It is very thick. It comes in the HPI micro fornt end tuning kit, I found it in my box, and it seems it is going to work well. What does everybody else use?

Extreme Pressure Lube, $34 a tube. I just "borrow" it from work though. This stuff is right, its sticky and it doesnt seem to get alot of dirt build up either. I also use it on the diff.

1/8 scale off-road diff lube. Comes in different weights, starting at 1000 and going up to 150000. Works really well and it's very easy to change the amount of dampening needed for each track, just by changing the weight you use.

SPEED GOOP, is GREAT stuff...Thick and slick (not sticky), I find that 1/8 scale lube is to sticky...besides 1/8 scale lube take to much motor spray to break down (motor spray isn't cheap! LOL). Steve.

I must say I have never used any type of front kingpin lube/dampening fluid. I would think that it would mostly attract dirt. So what are the benifits to using the lube/dampening fluid on the front end?

Big John, This is some slimy stuff. look forward to see how it does on carpet.

I would say that's it's imperative that you use some form of lube on the front king pins it makes the front end work so much smoother and keeps it from binding up,get some of john's goop and you will know what I mean immediately.

ballxblazer, the lube is also use for slowing the rate the spring works. if u use a really thick lube the spring will seem to react slower. if u use thin it will react faster.

Has anyone tried finishline diff lube on kingpins? Wondering how it would work or if it is to thick. Does not most all lubes mention attract dirt?

Slider,
If you dont really want much dampening I think it would work as more of just a lube (every now and then if i dont want the dampening i will just use some associated silicon grease to make it smooth)

For banked tracks I use Zubak's stuff, works good for me.

Associated makes some nice stuff, Silicon Diff Fluid, comes in 30K, 60K, 100K and 300K. Master Ziggy uses this stuff I have seen.

The Zubaks is smooth but it doesn't seem to last long. You can also try the Bandit cactus juice, but it tends to be on the heavy side and makes the front end lazy and gives you a pushy feel.

SPEED GOOP from Zuback

is the stuff to buy and use

This stuff does last and if your cleaning and polishing your king pins atleast once a month anyway then why would it have to last longer than that.

great stuff and try out some of his other products
SPEED LUBE for your bearings also very good

Big John Zuback
you going to Roar Nats ?
if so can you bring some of the SPEED GOOP
to the track ?

later
