I sure hope everyone is ready to have fun tomorrow! If someone has never been here, U are missing out. this is the most racer freindly track I have ever raced at " I been to alot of tracks in 11 YEARS! I would really like to see some Ft Wayne guys here. Now many of our local guys ran there in 2002 and 2003 season and we had a blast! I also plan to make many trips to Ultra to also share one heck of a good time with U guys. Sure hope to see U guys 10/3/03 at 5 to 7 racing and it all starts at 8. Believe me once you check it out you will agree its a heck of a time.

I just thought I would let everyone know that Summit R/C Raceway in Fort Wayne, IN is going to hold a Oval trophy race Sunday, October 12th. This race was originally scheduled for the Schoolyard R/C track in LaGrange, IN, but was rained out. The event has been moved to the carpet track at Summit R/C Raceway. Trophies, prizes and lots of great racing. You can call the track Tuesday, Thursday, Friday or Saturdays at 471-2722 for more information. Also look at the website
http://hometown.aol.com/sheath9831/raceway.html
The race flyer is http://pdxracing.sytes.net/schoolyard~summitflyer.html

Doors open at 8am, drivers meeting at 11:30 and racing starting at 12:00 with 3 quailifiers and a main. Entry fee is: $15.00 - $10.00 for each additional class and 3 cars make a class.

Sonny Brown was at the first race this past sat and said, " For those that haven’t made the trip, the track is smooth, fast and had pretty good bite for the first race weekend. Run line is about 145 with 12’ wide lanes. More then enough pit room and new AMB digital lap counting system. The only thing they need is for more racers to take advantage of the track."

Bring all your friends and tell anyone you know that wants to get abck on the rug. The rumor mill has it that some of the Indy crew is coming as well as a Big guy from Kentucky and some bearded guy that can wheel pretty good from Cinncy.

If you need more information or directions please feel free to contact me. I am not affliated with the track just trying to get everyone together for one hell of a race.

not my record Heater still has it she still has .01 seconds on my best time but I am trying hard to get it back... If you need help on getting it setup to jump right up there let me know. It'll be a challenge since it is a Losi  . That Flanagan power is what is gonna kill me because now I am gonna have to start doing motor work. I like it better when we all run about the same that way it is up to the driver. See you tonight

The crowd was even bigger this last friday we had 14 heats running. Smoke the stadium class is starting to grow again. Always a lot of fun racing with Mike, Heather and Mike A. Real close racing and believe it or not CLEAN racing which always makes it more fun when you can swap positions every lap with other drivers and know that the open wheels will not meet :D . CYA all this Friday.

C3 told me 6 cell is pretty big over there, but do you have any 4 cell classes on a weekly bases or would you run one if we brought a few guys.

Ruzzell
11-03-2003, 09:34 PM
We have great 4-cell action every week! 4-cell stock being our biggest class with about 9 to 12 every week. Our 19T 4-cell is probably loaded with our best talent at the track. CIII & Charlie Flanagan with Dave Hoaglin always great racing in that class. Come on over we'll save ya a spot.

Russ Belt

I ran XXXT in statium last year. If you need some help with your truck let me know. I can't drive or work on my truck due to surgery on my left arm/hand. I will be more than happy to help-you will have to turn wrenches. :) I will be at the track on the 14th. If I can get my son away from girls and big cars for about a hour to set my truck up I may try to practice during the week. ;) My truck is set up for dirt. My Son and I been running XXXT last 3 years on carpet and dirt.

I've had good success at track with whatever handout motor Paul has . Most of the time I run 47 laps each heat.

Papamerkle - Hey if you run your consistant 47 this year you are going to make the A main every week. Last Friday I ran 50 laps but that was the first time anyone has broke 48 since the beginning of the year, and the only way I did that was because there were only 2 trucks and I threw a mod in her to try and get the record. Came up one lap short  Heather wins again and she wasn't even racing.

Just to let everyone know we are going to be starting our points series for the year November 7th THIS FRIDAY.

The track will also be holding a cash money race on December 7th so mark your calenders. We will post more details later on the cash race. With a list of classes being run.

I am planning to practicing Tuesday to see how arm and hand holds up. I found a few things broke/crack when I set truck up for dirt. Maybe I can start running 48 laps each heat. ;)

I like changes made for qualifying: I can get a good lap count 1st heat and 2nd heat I can do some R&D  ;)

Charlie
I run 30 weight. Planning on running 40 weight this weekend. If you are running orange springs 60 might work. I do have extra springs and pistons if you want to try something different. I run my setups on soft side. I found a front arm broke on truck Tuesday afternoon-maybe that's part of my problem last Friday.

Hey all I scanned our flyer and when I shrink it enough to meet the max file size to attach you can not read any of the small text which is the classes that are running. So I am going to type as much as I can.

Classes Racing:
10th scale 4 & 6 cell stock
10th scale 4 cell 19 turn
Touring Car 6 cell stock
Flat Truck 6 cell Stock
Stadium Racing
12years and under 10th scale 4 cell stock

Racing Starts at 1pm the doors will open at 9am and registration closes at 12 noon

The track will be open Saturday (12/6/03) from 9am to 9pm for practice after which the track will be locked and secured so you can leave your equipment up there for the next days racing.

Registration is $15.00 for the first car and $10.00 each additional car.
Junior Class will be $10.00 per car.

This is a 125 foot tri oval carpet track with electronic scoring and we can handle personal transponders. The rules for each class are posted at the track in the main hallway. We are located in Van Wert, OH for a map or any other info check out our website http://www.geocities.com/vanwertraceway/main TIME TO GO RACING.
