View Full Version : For H.G. Wells' Martian fans!
modelnut 09-22-2003, 02:16 PM
I bought this book on a whim because I am an H.G. Wells' Martian fan and I thoroughly enjoyed it! It is sort of "War of the Worlds - Part II" by H.G. and George Orwell. Some good scratchbulding ideas in here!

Check your local comic store or order online! True fans should enjoy it as much as I did.

Lloyd Collins 01-23-2005, 11:51 PM I really like Jeff Wayne's "War of the Worlds", with Richard Burton.
Griffworks 01-24-2005, 02:49 AM There's a really kewel book that's a collection of stories set in the "War of the Worlds" universe. Each of the stories takes place in different parts of the world, with one story dealing with Teddy Roosevelt in Puerto Rico fighting Martians, another with Chruchill I think it was in South Africa, one involving Jules Verne (IIRC) in France and another on how a town in West Texas dealt with the Martians in their own unique way. I highly recommend the book, tho don't recall the title. It's at home and if someone doesn't beat me to the punch I'll try and remember to look it up and post the name when I get home later this morning.
