Barooose 09-19-2003, 11:57 AM Yeah, Burby, H.T. new building is awesome. First class. 2 carpet tracks and a slot car track all in one location. Oh yeah, I almost forgot they are also building an indoor dirt track. 4 tracks in one building. That must be a record. Next year they plan on moving the whole Hobby Town store in downstairs. That will be handy, break a part, run downstairs and get a new one. We will be putting down some more rubber tuesday night, then next friday they will start working on the bumps. They have put a ton of work into this building and they are not going to stop working until it's right. I am really looking forward to this.
burbs 09-22-2003, 05:24 PM Hey brude are they still going to have a practice night on tuesday? i plan on going up just need to know if u all will be there lata man

triclone-dave 09-23-2003, 11:44 PM Burbs give me a call about going to region 5 race Corey and Jeff is leaving at 5:00pm I am going to be leaving at 8:00am
Barooose 09-25-2003, 09:42 AM Well we practiced tuesday and the track is getting faster. Bill tore up a section of carpet and ground the bump down and the carpet is supposed to be replaced today. Yipeee. Racing starts tuesday the 30th and some of us are planning on running 19 turn. We want to run Arcor motors so we can run them other places as well, but are going to leave it open for any 19 turn for a month approximately so everyone can get the right motors without rushing around like a Hilpert with it's head cut off. heehee. Hope to see you there.
burbs 09-25-2003, 10:42 AM Brude, you are lucky you are so fast :freak: otherwise your digs would be unacceptable. Only the fast guys can talk smack, thats why i dont lol  I sure had a much better time runing your super speed 19 turn on tuesday. I think i drive better tham in stock. the car actually does the work, and i dont have to think. u know how little i think to lol lata peeps

Barooose 10-01-2003, 06:39 PM Yeah, Dave, every 5 laps when I come up to lap you. Hahhaha.
Bob, I will get that e-mail for you. I hope your previous sentence doesn't have anything to do with Cory.
Bob Wright 10-01-2003, 08:13 PM Does he have a sister???????
Hefty 10-01-2003, 11:47 PM Bob, the address is hefty@team1rc.com. Ouch Bruce! That's one trip to the fence for you!
schmelme 10-02-2003, 12:28 AM Track is great to run on. Good size and challenging. See ya guys thursday. Bruce i'll have my own motor to spank you with next week LOL thanks
schmelme lives!!! haven't heard from you in a while
schmelme 10-02-2003, 07:25 PM Oh yeah i've been out and about. Ran VFW the first wed. they ran and now i am going to run oshkosh for the season and GB when i feel like it.
When are you coming out of retirement.
Barooose 10-02-2003, 08:01 PM Karl, It won't matter what motor you bring next week as you get to be the designated pinball next tuesday. I was this week and I didn't especially enjoy it. L.O.L.
triclone-dave 10-03-2003, 08:08 AM I have my radios back so watch out Barooose . See you next Tuesday
Schmelme
Last football game is on the 11th going to reg 5 on the 17th-19th
then I should be back
triclone-dave 10-05-2003, 07:23 PM What is a good tire setup for the track. I am real good at pinball what color is the pinball this week? :o  :o
Barooose 10-06-2003, 10:08 PM Dave as far as tires, you should be able to run the same as Scotty's. 2 White rears and a white or green left front with a gray right front or possibly another green or even a soft blue.
I am planning on opening the track early tomorrow also. Probably around 4:00.
Barooose 10-10-2003, 02:55 PM What do you guys think we should be running? Stock only, 19 turn only or a mix or stock and 19? Is the track big enough for a bunch running 19 turn? I just want to see alot of people having fun and not being pushed into something they're not comfortable with. I also don't want people buying new 19 turn motors if they're not going to be used. Hock has spoken, how about the rest of you guys?
Bob Wright 10-10-2003, 08:33 PM I would be willing to run 19T on any Saturday or Sunday.Work sucks!!!
schmelme 10-11-2003, 03:43 AM There would have been 4 in stock tuesday but i think everyone just assumed there was no one else ,i know some of the GB crew want to stick to stock. Just offer the class people will run it. Personally i like 19t and am starting to figure it out but whatever the majority is i'll run. I consider this my home track now so i'll do whatever to help the cause.
Barooose 10-15-2003, 02:42 PM Tuesday night turnout is still a bit light but it usually is until the weather turns crummy and all the yard work etc is done for the summer. Ten cars turned out and all ran 19 turn. The track is getting much better and it seems the groove is also getting wider. 1 by 1 people are getting their cars sorted out too, which helps alot.
Makus pulled a 56 flat for the pole while Cory did 55.01 and Wood finally got a good run and did a 55.02. Jay Pagel and OX also got 55’s to get in the show. Dave Hitz did a 54.01 for the B pole with Tony a lap back and Buddy a second further back. Ted and Ed rounded out the B. Tony won the B and did the bump-up. .
The A main started with Cory "Neutron Heft" and Makus leaning on each other for a bunch of laps while Wood followed anticipating the hayhem that was sure to break loose at any moment. It never happened. Lap 3 and Tony and Jay got together which gave OX some breathing room. Once Makus and Cory got in line they started to pull away from Wood while OX was creeping forward. About midway OX did the pass on Wood and Jay also got by a few laps later, though not for position. The leaders soon passed Wood then OX. The only incident of the whole race was on lap 3, otherwise it was very nice, clean and fast. Makus took the win with a 56.01 with Cory a bit more than 1 second back, OX took a very well deserved 3rd ( thanks in part to his wrench) while Wood got 4th, Jay 5th and Tony 6th.
It should be a much better turnout once the regionals are over. Hope everybody has good luck and great racing this weekend.
Should Be Ther This Comming Tuesday
Barooose 10-17-2003, 11:51 PM Hey, Let's see how many stockers we can get to turn out. Makus and I will be running both classes this week. Come and show us the way...
schmelme 10-18-2003, 01:20 AM HMMMM thinking about it
Barooose 10-18-2003, 11:21 PM It looks like the Wisconsin boys are doing pretty good except for Dave. Wonder why he's got 3 DNS's?????
Barooose 10-22-2003, 02:35 PM Great runs for Ed and Karl last Night. Ed chased down Makus but couldn't quite get by in the stock A and Karl had the same sitiuation in 19 turn. They both finsihed 3rd but ran very well. Good going guys.
Barooose 10-22-2003, 10:08 PM It seems everyone agrees that 45 minutes per round is a bit to harried. In talking to Bill today he has no problem making it 60 minutes per round, provided we are packed up and out of the building before 11:00 P.M. That will still allow 3 qualifiers and the mains on the hour. Sounds good to me. What does everyone else think??? Any other ideas???
Cleared it with the wife to play at Trackside this friday night
triclone-dave 10-27-2003, 10:18 AM  maybe
Got hung up in meetings friday. It ended up going through dinner.
Barooose 10-27-2003, 02:27 PM Just an FYI for everyone. It appears Oshkosh will be taking a week off, courtesy of the building inspector, to finish up a few projects that need to be addressed. Nothing major, just a few details that need to be taken care of before we can occupy the building for racing. Hock, could you let Buddy,Ed and anyone else up there know about this, that doesn't get on here. Thanks.
Barooose 10-27-2003, 02:28 PM P.S. maybe some of us will come down and terrorize West Bend Wednesday.
Barooose 10-29-2003, 02:23 PM It looks like Hobbytown will be back up and running on this thursday, but call ahead to be sure. But tonight it's West Bend. yeeehaaaaa.
triclone-dave 10-29-2003, 03:19 PM Barooose are you ready for some new donuts
Barooose 10-29-2003, 04:42 PM Mmmm. Donuts.
Barooose 10-30-2003, 02:57 PM Hey we had a very “interesting” time last night at West Bend. Big & Little Hays showed up along with Dave H, and Dave J . Bob B was also there for his very first race along with Eric A and some others who I am not familiar with. 10 cars showed up and qualifying was very interesting to say the least until the resort. Little Hays had the early TQ but Wood got lucky on the final round and took it away with a 60,4:01 with little Hays a couple seconds back followed by Big Hays, Hilpert and Jansen. The A Main was very clean, thankfully, and oddly enough everyone finished in the order they started with almost exactly the same laps. Good people, great sloppy Joes and R.C. racing, does it get any better?
Where was Burbs????
burbs 10-30-2003, 03:38 PM well burbs has some stuff to take care of lol. I spent a bunch of money i didnt have to go to regionals. so now i have to fina a job, pay some people back, and get battery packs and stuff.
