Hey guys/girls we will be starting a new class 5-2-04,7.0 Breakout.
If you are unfamiliar with 7.0 Breakout it is fairly simple, you can not have a lap time under 7.000,if you go under, that lap will be taken.

Example: You run 45 laps, but 10 are in the 6 second lap times,6.98,6.99,6.54,you will have 10 deducted laps which will give you 35.

Kevin,

I am assuming the breakout class is any chassis, motor, battery, tire combo. Let me know.

gary51

The 7.0 break out class will be 4 cell stock class, any chassis. and any tire combo you would like to run.

rcovalracer
04-24-2004, 10:20 PM
Yes that is pretty much it.Run what you brung kinda class, except no touring bods, got to have a Nascar style body,(BL) brushless sytems allowed also.
And don't go faster than the 7.0 breakout...

Gary it will be any cell also,it really don't matter...http://thercedge.com/forums/images/smiles/annienein.gif

Just can't break the 7.0 lap time, battery, motor, speed control is out the window..

Outstanding! Now I can bring my son racing with me!

rcovalracer
04-25-2004, 06:22 PM
I have no clue as to what is going on,the drivers have talked about it,but the track owners says a http://thercedge.com/forums/images/smiles/icon_eek.gif 7.50 breakout..

So if you want the correct answer I would contact Scott at
scottshobbies@alltel.net

I talked to him yesterday and Scott said yea on a 7.0 breakout, today it was said a 7.50  Now everyone is confuzzeled...

Hope to see some new drivers in Nastruck
Went and practiced today and it was fast..

Donnie_99
04-26-2004, 05:32 PM
7.0 would be a great break out speed for that track

rcovalracer
04-26-2004, 06:51 PM
Tell that to Mr.Scott.. scottshobbies@alltel.net

He says it is too fast, but the guys/gals that wanted to run it have changed their minds about it(7.50 ???),some are even parking their rides, bummer.

Hey guys Its Chris. I am currently running in the breakout class up here at Echeconnee and its great for the beginning racer or for anyone on a budget.

If I may offer up a suggestion here, on a weekend before a race have a test session and run, say, 4 races. Then break them up by running the 1st and 2nd races at 7.5 breakout, then for the 3rd and 4th races run it at a 7.0 breakout and see who like what. That will give everyone a ballpark feel for it.

Hope to make down there to race with y'all soon.

Yea imagine telling Scott that one....
He won't go for that one...

rowdyrj
04-27-2004, 05:44 PM
I think that would work it would give some of the drivers who can not run as fast a class to learn in.

Are any of the guys running the SEE PRO2 using a rear steer plate to run Branford ,and if so which one . I don,t know if i am scrubbing off speed by running one, I have read they should only be used with mods. Thanks alot Gary

parrott88
04-29-2004, 09:17 PM
YES, almost everyone is running atleast the 1/4 degree bottom plate.

Gary, the last time I looked at your car( from what I remember ) you need to check your side springs for side to side movement, and your front end for binding.

gary51
04-29-2004, 09:37 PM
Thanks Jerry i have been running 1/2 lately and have rebuilt front end and it had been binding and fixed that will recheck side shocks annd change back to 1/4 steer plate thanks alot and good luck in Macon this weekend show them how it,s done Gary

What's the weather like for Sunday. We got rained out here on Friday need to get my rush for racing for the week.

rcovalracer
05-01-2004, 03:52 PM
Right now 40% chance of rain,I just got back from Branford RC Speedway and it was mostly cloudy, suppose to be 20% scattered showers,I didn't see any, seen the sun coming through the clouds some..

Remember that we usually have 2 blowers and the track dries pretty fast,so if we do get a scattered shower it should pass over and we can get it dry and ready to race...

Check the weather channel (http://beta.weather.com/weather/local/USFL0051?lswe=branford%2Cflorida&lswa=WeatherLocalUndeclared&whatprefs=)for Branford, not always correct as the case yesterday for J-Ville,the radar was showing rain moving off the coast, the radar is a little behind time.. Kevin

If there's a chance to race, I'll wait it out. Alittle upset how early the race at hw was canceled. WE WERE RACING AT 8:00, WITH HARDLY ANY TRACK WORK. Did'nt see the first sprincle in the air, and was there until 11:00. Had fun anyway racing the true diehard racers that showed up. Off to macon tomorrow morning for some 19t action. I know we will race there if there's even alittle chance.
