rowle1jt 12-22-2003, 02:48 PM Yeah, well not all of us can be Walter.
Yeah I know....
I have some Reedy motors and some Reedy based, never paid attention to winding though. I will have to look.
walterhenderson 12-22-2003, 05:02 PM Very true, BUT everything Walt has is genuine Reedy and not third party.
Walter,
What are most of your arms? Hemi or Mabuchi? Would a 10 turn Mabuchi be faster/more powerful than a Hemi wound 10? Just curious.
Everything I have is hemi except for the 19 turn stuff. A hemi should be faster, but not by alot. Walter
Ballblazer 12-22-2003, 08:53 PM Thanks guys for the info! Now I need to take a look at my motors. So if the C1 and C2 are Hemi's, that would be another reason why they would be illegal not just because of the lay down brush hoods.
VB
DynoMoHum 12-23-2003, 12:12 PM Yes your right ball blazer... The C1, C2, and virtualy all the motors that have come to be known as 19 turn 'spec' motors are hemi wound and therefore would be illegal for ROAR's 19 turn oval class, unless ROAR specificly leaves off the refferance they currently have that specifiys a Mabuchi wind.
Ted Flack 12-24-2003, 10:44 AM Hey Nick,
I am going to try and come race with the real racers Friday instead of the sissy road course guys. I am running 1/12th at the Snowbirds and was wondering if you thought I could run my 1/12th scale car in Mod or 19t...........Some of the guys are old enough (Racknor and Deano) that we can just tell them "The subject is closer than it appears".
What do you think?
Merry Christmas to everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ted
walterhenderson 12-24-2003, 04:48 PM Happy Holidays Too All!!!
Ted, I would think we could put you in somewhere. Frank has been wanting to run mod. You should think about 1/10 th 19 turn though. That class has been getting very big and very close racing!
Also if anyone is interested in a 3 month old M-8 let me know...
Walter
Ted Flack 12-24-2003, 06:49 PM I don't know about 19turn, I am bringing in a special guest from Virginia to run 19turn. His main function is to yell at Deano and Racknor, so we have to have them in the same heat along with you and Jamie. That will provide the rest of us some really good entertainment!!!!!!!!!
I guess I should go find my 1/10th scale car, haven't seen it since the Nationals. Actually I might have left it there, I didn't want that evil thing in my house.
See ya Friday.
Ted
walterhenderson 12-24-2003, 09:37 PM Ya we heard you were importing a ringer--LOL

Merry Christmas to all out in R/C land!!!
Ted,
ANy other racing plans for the weekend? At the track in Fort Wayne we are having a half off trophy race on Sunday and a club race that sat night. I knwo some of the guys form MI came down the weekend of Thanksgiving and had a blast. Kacknor and Deano said soemthing about coming down and I think some others are going to too. Anyways I am going to drive to Lansing again on friday and back to Fort Wayne like I did last week so i will see you at the track. This roundy round stuff is too much fun.
Brian
What time is the track going to be open on friday?
Also are people going to be able to practice on Thursday?
I know there's a few people that need some track time that might show up.
NTwigs 12-30-2003, 03:43 PM No, Dave, we won't be open on Thursday. We will open at 2pm on Friday. The usual program, racing at 7pm.
We are only three weeks away from the Snowbirds warm-up. Starting this week, we will be running the Snowbirds style ice. We should be within a couple of feet the the Snowbirds runline.
See everyone on Friday.
rowle1jt 12-30-2003, 09:26 PM I know there's a few people that need some track time that might show up.
So what are you saying Dave????
So what are you saying Dave????
Hmmmmmmmm.
DynoMoHum 12-31-2003, 12:34 PM Well... my daughter should be born by the 16th... Right now they are telling us they will do a C-section on the 13th or 14th, since the baby was breech at yesterday's Dr. Apointment... If my wife stays true to her word.... I hope to be back racing in time for the Snowbird warm up race... Then again... I don't know... new father on Wendsday.... off racing on Friday... We'll see.... If nothing else I'll come up and visit that weekend.

Hope you can make it.
rowle1jt 12-31-2003, 01:44 PM Glenn,
Hope everything goes ok for you and your wife. After seeing my brother in laws reaction when my nephew was born...... we'll see you in Feb as you will be to excited to go racing!
My Bro-inlaw even turned down beer!
IHAUL 12-31-2003, 10:59 PM jan 2 2004
the first oval race for the year
and 28 shopping days left
DynoMoHum 01-01-2004, 04:43 AM Thanks Dave....
Yeah Jake, I hear you... I figure I'll either not want to go because I want to play with the baby, or I'll not want to go because it's only been a day or two since wife and baby got home from hospital, or... well I figure it'll be pretty hard to predict just how things will go.... I guess my plan is to have my RC stuff ready to go, and then decide what I really want to do on the 16th and/or 17th... I am pretty sure I'll at least come up and say hay to you all.
Jamie Hanson 01-01-2004, 04:50 PM Here I sit at work wishing I was at the race track. I am not sure if I will be there Friday or not. I have to work till 7 again. If I make it I guess I will see you all there. If not, have fun.
smitty 01-01-2004, 11:54 PM Congratulations Glen, I trust mother and baby are doing well. What did you have? Greg
DynoMoHum 01-02-2004, 09:01 AM Smitty, you misunderstand... The baby is not yet born... We are at 37 weeks, expecting a C-Section delivery around the 13th of January... Baby is a Girl based on all testing...
I'm trying to figure out if I can make it to the Snowbirds Warm up race on the 16th... :) Smitty.... What do you think? Will I be able to go racing 2 days after birth, without getting a divorce, or having my Mother-in-law hit me up side the head? (now that I put it that way... I don't think I'll be there on the 16th... )
IHAUL 01-06-2004, 11:11 PM does anyone want to run 1/12 oval
Ted Flack 01-07-2004, 01:26 PM Please, please, I need to run 1/12th oval. That is what I am running at the "Birds". I assume you mean at the "Warm Up Race"
Ted
NTwigs 01-07-2004, 04:22 PM Anyone Else For 1/12 Oval
Lets Here From You So We
Can Plan A Class
rowle1jt 01-07-2004, 07:57 PM Dean-o....... I see you lurking. By the way, did you remember to turn the coffee pot off last week?
rowle1jt 01-07-2004, 07:58 PM Oh, yeah I forgot to say....
"IHAUL" You should change your name to "ISUCK"...... LoL.......
OvalTrucker 01-07-2004, 08:39 PM Can I run a Arcornite arm in a P-94 can for 19t truck? No big deal if it's not legal. I'll pony up for a legal motor if I have to. Just tryin' to save a buck or two!
What time do the doors open on Friday? This will be my first time coming to the hub. Be gentle.
Scott N
rowle1jt 01-07-2004, 09:16 PM Scott, as for motor Legality I think the combo is illegal at our track. I think Nick is trying to keep the trucks with a fixed timing motor. I'll let him jump in and clarify that fact for you. 19T Truck and Stock Truck are both very popular at the hub, they are our two biggest classes by far!
Just make sure that you bring Jonny B. from the hobby shop with you as Legends are very popular as well!!!!
DynoMoHum 01-08-2004, 09:49 AM It's looking more and more like I'm not going to make it for the Birds warmup race weekend... more i hear about the C-section deal, my wife is likely to be in the hospital untill Friday... and my better judgement tells me I had better not run off and be gone all day on Saturday... I still may come up and say hello to eveyone.
IHAUL 01-08-2004, 02:45 PM Oh, yeah I forgot to say....
"IHAUL" You should change your name to "ISUCK"...... LoL.......
OK
you do ! so what ?
now everyone knows
 :jest:
rowle1jt 01-08-2004, 07:19 PM OK

Was there a Snobird Warmup Race at your track last weekend? If so could you post the results.
Thanks!
DynoMoHum 01-23-2004, 05:36 PM Well, due to a unscheduled vist to the Dr. and the fact that we've gotten about 4 inchs of snow in the past 2 hours... I'm not going to come to Lansing tonight...
I hope any of you that do go have fun... but be carefull if the roads are as bad up there as they are down here...
NTwigs 01-28-2004, 10:53 AM just to let you all know theres
a new truck in someones pits

OvalTrucker 02-01-2004, 11:40 AM Does the Hub hold races year round? I want to start running in another class but I'll wait if I can't race indoors this summer.
thanks,
Scott
rowle1jt 02-01-2004, 01:53 PM www.hobbyhubraceway.com is updated......
Jamie Hanson 02-03-2004, 01:51 PM ok so this weekend will be last last race for at least 5 months because of work. ANyone have a job for me? SO to go out with some fun I plan on running stock? ANyone up for it?
rowle1jt 02-03-2004, 03:00 PM I'l be there, George said he would come down too.
DynoMoHum 02-03-2004, 03:34 PM Last race for 5 months? You deffintely need a new job Jamie.
I'm planning on being there Friday... I'll run stock if I have to... but would still rather run 19 turn.
rowle1jt 02-03-2004, 04:59 PM Don't worry Glenn, I am sure there will be a 19T class.
OvalTrucker 02-03-2004, 07:54 PM ...maybe nobody heard me a few posts ago:
DOES THE HOBBY HUB RUN RACES ALL YEAR LONG?
rowle1jt 02-03-2004, 09:59 PM Sorry Scott, I missed it. No, we do not run indoors all year. There is usually a couple of races w/ touring cars outside or offroad but not much oval. I know some of the guys used to run on a 1/4 scale banked oval over the summer.
I was wondering if there would be any others interested in trying to run the Bolink Sprint cars at the Hub
rowle1jt 02-03-2004, 11:36 PM Talk to Kevin, Sam, Rick and George. I am sure there people that would run them.
gasman 02-05-2004, 05:43 PM from IHAUL
another class to make the nite
L o n g e r
so lets just run 3 cars in a heat
and stay until 5 am
rowle1jt 02-05-2004, 06:55 PM People are welcome to leave at anytime, we do not require that people stay until there main is over. Wouldn 't want anyone up past there bedtime.....
LoL :D
