View Full Version : Echeconnee Superspeedway
Echeconnee 12-06-2004, 09:52 PM Well I hooked up my A10 with the brushless today. All I can say is "OH MY GOD!" The sound, the speed and the power pulling out of the corners is surreal. I AM sleeping with it tonight, lol. I look to see a lot of people with brushless systems by next season, some guys left the track yesterday muttering "I wonder if Tower can have one to me by Friday" lol We have about 5 running already in the 6.5 class and I bet it's 6 or seven by next weekend.
I hate the Branford schedule is on top of ours again, I am itching to get down there and run. Kevin, just 43 in NASTRUCK? How about 45? I got my 510 all built and awaiting a Ford F150 body from McCallister. I also have the Chevy and The Yota coming, looks like Andy will be in the mix as well, Donnie has been hinting around too, I knew he would get some use out of that L4. I plan to heavily promote the 500 race this year Oh yea, the brushless was geared 4.29:1 on 2.5" tires and the speedo was set on the stock limiter!
rowdyrj 12-07-2004, 10:58 PM I am 4 sure there Memorial weekend (I am planning). Maybe sooner...
 I hear some of you up there have been playin with some trucks ???
Kevin
As of right now I'm the only one that have been practicing with a truck body. Still working on a good set up for the truck with a stock motor in it. I have the McAllister Toyota Tundra body. I may get a Chevy body later.
Echeconnee 12-08-2004, 11:50 AM The Mcallister order came in today.
rowdyrj 12-08-2004, 09:46 PM The Mcallister order came in today.
We should have some real good truck races next year.
Fl Flash 12-08-2004, 09:54 PM We should have some real good truck races next year.
Mmmmmmmmm I feel a road trip comin on :D
Cliff, I wasnt kiddin about the 2 four minute heats and 8 minute/100 lap main Nastrucks would make a good guniea pigs
Echeconnee 12-09-2004, 07:54 PM you can't run 100 laps in 8 minutes here, I don't even think it's possible with a brushless set up. It took about 12 minutes for Chris Collinsworth to win with a 100 lap run last year in the enduro @ the Southern 500 and he was running brushless and averaging about 7.0 lap times. Some guys ran 19t motors turned back the timing and reduced the gearing and ran about a half a second quicker each lap but they were all gone by lap 93. Chris ran some 20 more laps after the race with his set up.
Fl Flash 12-09-2004, 10:44 PM Yes Sir,
Your right! be hard pressed to run 70 laps in 8 minutes with a stocker. How the heck did Kevin Lang wind up with your Nastruck record anyway? Looks pretty soft to me
Echeconnee 12-09-2004, 10:51 PM Kevin, you gonna take that? lol. Lee I think a fast 46 is about the best we are gonna see out of a truck

Have you ran with Lee? Might rethink that if you run with the "donut maker"
Echeconnee 12-11-2004, 08:10 PM No Prob, I mounted a turrett on the hood for impossible passes, lol

I see it in the warmer days... http://www.handykult.de/plaudersmilies.de//natur/sunny.gif
Although I was close but I screwed up on two of the laps in Branford.
And in Echeconnee I can't wait to get back up there and run !!!!! I see a 44 lap run at both places in the future... Kevin
Echeconnee 12-13-2004, 10:47 PM should see around 46 somewhere up here in NASTRUCK, any idea what the schedule will be for Branford starting in Jan?
rcovalracer 12-13-2004, 10:49 PM Read the schedule on my site or check the reply on the Branford thread... Kevin
Echeconnee 12-13-2004, 10:51 PM Thanks!
Echeconnee 12-14-2004, 06:49 PM Well add 2 more brushless motors to the field, Andy is getting one for Christmas from his wife and I just sold another one to one of our local guys. This is getting to be an epidemic! lol
Echeconnee 12-14-2004, 06:51 PM I think we have 8 or 9 now so far and the new season is a couple of months off yet. Time will tell.
Donnie_99 12-14-2004, 06:53 PM lol who else got one
Echeconnee 12-14-2004, 06:55 PM Mr Custom Works, He is probably installing it as we type, lol
Donnie_99 12-14-2004, 06:56 PM lol really i figured he was gonna get one
Echeconnee 12-14-2004, 06:58 PM yep, I was right, I am talking to him on the phone now
Donnie_99 12-14-2004, 07:04 PM lol i am gonna fight it as long as i can lol
Echeconnee 12-14-2004, 07:06 PM well you got a few more months
onetwo 12-14-2004, 07:16 PM fight it baby fight it. "to be brushless or not to be that is the question."
Donnie_99 12-14-2004, 08:13 PM naaa i will just park it lol
Donnie_99 12-14-2004, 08:14 PM i like the brushless for breack out but i still luv brushed motors
Donnie_99 12-14-2004, 08:15 PM i will go brushless if it happens everywhere
rcgen 12-14-2004, 08:17 PM Get it the brushless...what brushless system are you guys using there? I have the Novak 4300 but I am considering getting the 5800 motor or the LRP system so I can go both brushless or brushed. I really need to get up there now with all the brushless coming out
ValdostaRC 12-14-2004, 08:29 PM I agree Donnie, when brushless starts being run in the stock class, I will definately be selling my stuff! Enough is enough!!!
Echeconnee 12-14-2004, 10:11 PM I agree Donnie, when brushless starts being run in the stock class, I will definately be selling my stuff! Enough is enough!!!
Robert your above post puzzles me, have you ever even run a brushless motor? I can't imagine having the same exact motor every time you run in practice or in the race as being a problem. The brushless system will not be run in the open stock class ever. It will however be run in it's own open class on non points weekends. The system we are using is the 5800KV programmed in the stock mode.
rcgen 12-14-2004, 10:14 PM What to you mean programmed in stock mode?
Echeconnee 12-14-2004, 10:16 PM the SS speed controll can be programmed in stock or Mod mode. We use mode #6 with the 5800KV motor
rcgen 12-14-2004, 10:19 PM OH ok I've only used 2 & 4. With the 4300 I can keep with 19t in those modes
Donnie_99 12-14-2004, 10:21 PM i do think there is a place for the brushless motor but i just prefer stock but i think it is the perfect set up for running the break out class
rowdyrj 12-14-2004, 10:34 PM If you are not as good at setting stock motors up or have the right kind of batteries or not as efficient at chassie set-up as some of the drivers that have been racing longer, brushless is the was to go. I like 19T racing as well.
