I would like to get this thread going so as to drum up some compitition for some of the upcomming races along with the weekly racing programs

well If you have ever been there then you need to come back and see the changes that owner Mark Lengerich has made in the past few weeks
The drivers stand has been changes with new steps up to stand area
and 8 more feet added to the one end to allow some of the big dogs to all get up their at the same time. the track as always is great layout this track is tight but fun and flowing new PA system is great an all around great place.

for more info and directions please check the web site (rcbarn.com)
with the w's and stuff I will try to answer question if posted here

see you at the track soon

Probably the closest tracks to Washington, IN are in Albion, IL and Mitchell, IN. Both of those places run electric. The closest outdoor track is Indy RC in Johnson County Park.

WoW what a great weekend of racing..

Thanks goes out to all the RC Barn staff, Mark and the guys did a good job getting all the races run and we even finished before dark this year.
I had a great time. I will say this, a race like this and others draw some of the best racers and the talent(sp) was thick this past weekend and it was great to see all the out of towners come play.

MARK thanks again great Job

I've been racing at planet, and since my truck and buggy go LEFT AND RIGHT, I will be racing at the barn some. I would think more people will be heading that way.

yes that is fine mcastor but no talk of that stuff here you bring that to the barn and we will change it to OFFROAD in a snap!

great to see this thread used. we are going to have a great year at the barn
marks goal is to run a weekly race schedule that will allow all types of racing OFFroad only and we will keep it that way for many years to come

Its good to see Marks commitment to off-road. Hey oval guys, if oval racing is to hard for ya, theres always rc drag racing... Just pull the triger, there's not even a steering wheel on your controller to confuse you.

Mr. T
I have been to the Barn, last summer. Love the track. Hated the big jump on the straight in front of the stand. Seemed like there was always a head wind when I hit it. Nothing like seening a XXX-T doing endovers 6' in the air.
I plan on making a return vist. I run a T-4 now that I also run on Ovals. All I do is change the motor and pinon. Nothing fancy. I picked up a B-4 I would love to run at the barn. Just waitng on a update for dates. Trying to get a Savage to run up there as well. It was neat to see the BIG trucks running on the track. I might run into you up there sometime.

terryf
04-15-2004, 12:40 PM
Mcastor; yes you will see me there. trucks are great on offroad and oval also. back in the day(late 80's) I too ran a oval truck and their is not to many changes to make it offroad capabile(sp)

to all; Mark and I just spoke on the phone he is planning a work day Saturday(4/17/04) if enough people show up and help out he said the first race day will be This sunday(4/18/04).
also all of those that help out on saturday will race free sunday if you can't make it sunday he will make your first race free

as Adonavan said "commitment to off-road" The Rc barn is going to run a weekly schedule of Offroad racing and the schedule should be posted soon.

Mr. T stands for TO FAST for TERRY hahaha :)

First of all "to" is spelled "too", which means your only half as fast as you think you are. I think you meant to say "two fast" which means there's always some"ONE" faster!!!!

good questions..

I think the track was ready this past weekend just a few things left to due.
mark was looking for some help last saturday but my brother and I both work on saturdays for now so we were unable to help. I do hope we can get some racing going soon last we talked he was going to leave the layout as we ended last year only mod would be to shorten straight for electrics which is just pulling a tube and done. as far as the schedule Mark said he will be open every weekend with exception(sp) to the big indiana state races down in lynn.. but nothing is on his web site yet he seems to be dragging his feet on that..

I heard a real bad rumor a couple of months ago that said the RC Barn was closing. I was devistated. They said that his wife and him got a divorce and she took the track and was going to close it down. My father and I loved racing there and would hope that there is good racing still to come. I can't wait to turn some laps on the new track. Hey guys, what about a mini-t track? Good to hear things are up and running.
